I made a new one, similar to the official Freedom one, with less "BRIGHT WHITE FLASH"(I hope);

I challenged myself to take their vision for the new login screen and get the players to accept it. I know besides the brightness the States vs. minion-guy didn't go over well, but I left him anyway(mostly because I don't have a 3drender of Recluse or Tyrant in the same battle pose). The pic is actually the cityofheroes.com background image, all I did was flip it, adjust it's coloring, add the logo, and, for the first time on one of my login screens, add the legal "junk" in the corner .

Let me know what you guys think of this one, i'm not sure if i'll be setting it for myself yet or not.

Aww . Now I have to reconsider whether NYCC is worth it at all this year . Last year was fun, but the main event of NYCC for me was CoH's M&G.

First, are the Reward Tokens earned from Point purchases calculated by sets of 1200 points or sets of $15?
I currently have 29 rewardtokens on my main account, and I need 35 for the 1 set of Celestial I want nao(lol). According to my math the $100 package would give me 6.6666667 reward tokens, and buying the $15 package 6 times would give me 6.0($90). What are the chances they round up? lol.


Has anyone confirmed if the bonuses for buying large amounts of points* count towards rewardtokens? I'm guessing it doesn't, but before I spend $100 for Celestial I thought I'd ask.

*-Clarifying Math-Like last I looked $100 was 8,000 points plus 1,600 bonus points for buying that large package. Since the 1,600 bonus is over 1,200 would that give an extra rewardtoken to the package?

I've been using this for years to avoid the updater(even more so with the NC one I don't like). I just tried it tonight, with both my accounts, and while having an active internet connection I can't connect to the login server from the shorcut on my desktop with the -project coh flag. However launching coh from the ncsoft launcher works fine.

From playing beta I saw they ruined the -uiskin flags, but I didn't think they'd be altering others like this .

If you're worried about your earned unused veteran respecs being "lost" you don't have to. All our current rewards will be available in the new Paragon Rewards system, becoming available at about the same time.

When you login you'll be given a paragon rewards screen with an amount of tokens available equal to your current vetstatus, with what you already have earned already accounted for and filled with tokens.

I really wasn't liking the quality-loss on Tyrant from having to stretch him so big(he started smaller than Statesman). The most apparent part of the quality-loss was his blurry blind-looking eye. Since he's supposed to be Statesman from another dimension I gave him a highres eye ala Statesman lol . *updated the post to show the new one*.

I know the UI trimming was horrible. It was just a reference so I knew where to put the glowing backdrops, and to make the copies posted here look a little more realistic. The actual copy I implemented as my loginscreen has the UI layers turned off(because the game puts them there of course), so it's quality doesn't matter , only the Freedom/GR logo remains on the image.

This thread talking about Galaxy just reminded me of something I haven't heard talk of in openbeta yet; We get the echo of Galaxy for the badges and plaques, but what about Jailbird and Isolator? Will those now be impossible to get?

Now if only I could figure out how to save them as the right type lol. When I get that figured out I'll re-trim the CoHF logo, that was just a quick thing thrown on so I could line up the field backdrops.

Edit: Oh, PS; -uiskin does not allow you to change your loginskin anymore, but it does still alter the logo in your taskbar, title of the window, and color of the initial small loadingbar rectangle. So if you make a custom primal oriented loginscreen -uiskin 0 will make the loadingbar blue for you instead of gold, and make your taskbar icon while the game is open statesman instead of the loyalist star

Edit2: Updated the pics with the cleaned up logos, and I decided the GR one fit Desdemona better

Edit3: I realized Tyrant's skintone was way too far off to be a praetorian version of States standing right next to him, and I saw other problems with him, so I re-implemented him from scratch. I also adjusted that one's glow and some other things. Realize I'm OCD with my art yet? XD lol.

These are all amazing! That triple one though.... I'm working on my own now, but I might just end up going with that one lol.

I can't find anything to open/edit/save .texture files though . Stupid search engines, throw a "." in a search even in quotes and it just ignores it.

I'd like my characters to show their alignment info to anyone who takes the time to look. When forming in Co-Op zones, then taking the team blue or red it's nice to be able to see who can go where. However since GR was implemented every time I check the box and change characters or log off it unchecks itself. I tried saving my option settings, and loading them once, and that seems to refuse to stay checked for me.

Is this bugged for everyone or is it just me?
