You can't access the computers on a trial account, I'm afraid. If you want to play an AE arc, you have to join a team where the leader has access to it.

The Rikti kinda made me think the aliens from Independence Day.

Some of the resistance-based sets are considered the less effective Stalker sets for various reasons, so you may have a point.

But, it's not exacting 'shoehorning', as Stalkers are capable of being fairly Scrappery if you know what you're doing, especially since the buffs. They're not as squishy as non-melee ATs, and on teams you're going to have to rely on more than AS to contribute. It makes a good opener, especially against a particularly powerful or annoying enemy, but after that plain old asskicking will suffice.

The main rule with copyrighted names it "If you have to ask, you can't use it." They're usually taken anyway.

Kinda interesting to see how they come and go, recently there was a wave of Watchmen clones due to the movie. I'm surprised I didn't see any Drizz't clones since Dual Blades came out though.

Sooo... Dual Pistols. It's pretty much announced. We know Scrappers aren't getting it. Discuss.

The devs seem to like to give new powersets to as many different ATs as possible, and if Corruptors have AR, I figure it's gonna make its way to Defenders eventually- and I don't really see a reason they shouldn't get Dual Pistols either.

Corruptors, on the other hand...

I can imagine this will probably end up being rather different from Assault Rifle. AR may seem similiar for the first three attacks, but then it mostly focuses on esoteric AoE powers, while I imagine Dual Pistols would be more single-target and cones of rapid-fire lethal damage.

Blasters tend to be the first to faceplant when things go wrong, true, but dying in this game is more of another mez than anything so I wouldn't get worried about it. Between the debt reductions, rested XP, various anti-debt powers and the ability to combine Insps into wakies, death is really a slap on the wrist, if even that.

For the record, you're not stuck with the Frankengun, you can customise it to have a variety of rifles shooting out a rocket.

AR is a set with a fair bit of variety, but I think the main feature is that it encourages you to stay at range. This can sometimes conflict with the secondary, especially melee-heavy sets. Generally I use AR attacks to soften up foes, and Fire melee to deliver the finishing blows.

Don't be afraid to experiment. Respecs come easier the longer you play the game, and you have Dual Builds too. Use whatever seems useful.

I've learned the hard way on my Ill/ Controller that mobs tend to resist Psi either a lot, or not at all. It's something of a gamble.

It might go well with a secondary that provides plenty of a different damage type, like /Fire.

I wouldn't worry about killing, we stole our hospital porters from the Rikti, we can only assume they had them first.

Dual Pistols is gonna be a ranged set for Corruptors, Blasters and maybe Defenders, I'd assume.

They gave all melee sets a ranged attack, if that explains anything.

Martial Arts bosses hit like a sledgehammer against my poor squishies.
