When a character is generic'd, you automatically get a free rename for it, as long as at least one of your submitted names is approved.

I was gonna say, I just put a High Collar Arachnos Cape on my MM today, I was like wtf?
That cape really does look awesome on villains. A big black cloak just screams 'Evil Overlord'. -
For the record, best to avoid having a name with 'Darth' or anything related to Star Wars, or a bio that specifically references anything from the SW universe. Copyright protection is pretty zealous in this game, lawsuits will do that.

Red Side?
8 Masterminds.
That's basically the game turned into mush.

Liable to make your computer explode as well, mind you. -
I note that took both Hover and Flurry- I'm surprised we don't have more veterans facefaulting. Hover is an okay power, but Flurry is a terrible attack (Hasten on the other hand is very handy), and most characters generally only have ONE travel power. Those power slots can be spent on more attacks and useful abilities.
If you want to fix this, you may notice that each trainer gives you an option to 'switch your build'- the recently added Dual Builds feature means you can build your character in two ways and switch between them at will. Your second build starts at level 1, and all you have to do is select new powers and slots until you get back up to your current level. For low-level characters, it can serve as a less expensive/difficult Respecialisation (Respec). Proper respecs become available later, and start out a bit hard to obtain but become easier as time goes on.
Enhancements don't really do much for your character until you get into your twenties. Dual Origin (DOs) enhancements will give you some actual boosts, and when you get Single Origin (SOs) enhancements, you'll really notice a difference. I wouldn't bother with Invention Origin (IOs) enhancements until you get into your thirties, since they're not really worth the expense before then.
Also, if you're going to play that Blaster, you're best off finding a team. Blasters are glass cannons, and don't get any solid mitigation until much higher levels, while enemies are going to get much more dangerous before then. While soloing is possible in this game, teaming is really the way to go in the lower levels, unless you're a Scrapper. -
Y'know, I'm glad that I've been on TFs that are more a dream team than a horror story.
-
I got the entire range (I think) in my CoV box!
Hmm, I wonder if they'll be worth something someday... -
Yeah, I figure this ancient comp could use an upgrade or two. Any graphics cards you specifically recommend for this game?

Remember that the AE is basically an official vehicle for fanfic.
You're playing fanfic.

But with a slightly lower chance of finding out that Spock is somehow carrying Goku's baby.

Slightly. -
8 of Anything/Anything Anything, to be honest.
A well played 8 man team will demolish pretty much everything in the game. -

I generally call them out and warn them to participate or they'll get kicked.
Half the time they quit before I can kick them. -
Gotcha.
Is there anything I can do to make Grandville accessible? Replace my graphics card? -
Since you're a MMO veteran, it might help to point out that your preconceptions might not be a good thing. We do things very differently here. Teams are incredibly flexible, and tanks, while handy, are not necessarily required. Healing, while handy at lower levels, is the weakest form of damage mitigation, with buffs and debuffs becoming very powerful as the levels get higher.
Most of your questions have been answered, but I feel I ought to weigh in on Question 3: Your primary and secondary powersets are designed to complement each other. Your Scrapper has his sword to do damage, and his shield to prevent being hurt, and other melee archetype (class) primaries and secondaries work the same way. (for tankers it's the other way around, of course) Defenders have buffs and debuffs to help their team, and blasts to deal damage, while Corruptors have it the other way around. Masterminds have pets, and powers to support their pets/teammates.
Of course, the details vary heavily between ATs, and even powersets. You're best asking for specific details in each AT forum (there are guides, but they're rarely updated these days for some reason).
Overall, don't worry. This game is crazy easy and forgiving, and you can pretty much never screw up a character so bad that they can't be fixed. Some builds are a bit better than others, but everything is viable at the very least. The main goal of this game is to have fun. -

I believe it's possible to get a High Collar Arachos Cape if you have both, for the record. It looks sweet.

High-collared Arachnos cape, with a Wolf Spider helm nestled inside, looks awesome.

This is pretty much the latest costume plan for my Mastermind...
...well, the helmet is gonna have to wait a while... -
Incidentally, you can get a High Collar version of the Arachnos Cape if you have both CoV special edition and the Magic Pack.
It's as awesome as it sounds. -

Yeah, I play in a mature SG. . . "Man, my back hurts." "AFK, kid needs glass of water." "Sorry I'm late, I was in meetings."
[/ QUOTE ]
I wanna see an in-game Justice Society of America style SG. -
I'd think so. Few enemies in this game actually have much fire resistance, one of the reasons Fire sets are so popular (since they also do lots and lots of damage).
In conclusion, KILL IT WITH FIRE! -
Does that mean Build Up and Aim affect it?
-
Remember that the AE is meant to supplement existing content, not replace it. It was made as a storytelling device, and if you're not interested in the stories and fluff, there's little point in using it.

...what a coincidence, my graphics card is an ATI Radeon 9250. I swapped my old card of the same capacity but a different brand a while ago to stop a crashing problem.
I'll try turning off Geometry Buffers... is than an in-game option? -
So I took my Mastermind into Grandville for the first time to join a team, but as I waited for the zone to load, it... didn't. The bar reached a bit under half-way across, then stopped, and I waited for several minutes and eventually reset the computer. Whenever I've tried to log back onto the character, the same thing happens.
I'm not very good with even the basics of computer hardware, so please try to explain any techno-jargon you use. I may need more RAM, I've been meaning to get some. (only have 1 gig...) -
Whenever you finish those music videos, you'd better upload em and link here quick smart!

Hmm... I'd like to see a battle between Malta and Vanguard Sword. Who would win!?
[/ QUOTE ]
I believe that with the MA, this can be set up...
I'm lucky my only character at the level to fight Malta is a BS/SR Scrapper. He can dodge Sappers, shrug off mezzes and whittle down Titans... but they're still a pain to fight.
