If you don't recognise me, I'm the one who just won't shut up.
-
I have a Red Fortune set already, along with Gaussian's and a few others. I prefer to have full sets in my powers, are there any others you can recommend?
Is Aid Self worth it? -
Y'know, I've tried PVP in this game, and I actually find it fun... but the attitude of PVPers have given it a black name. Maybe the exodus of the most outspoken PVPers was a good thing, now the only people left are the ones who actually want to try to have fun in the new environment.

I wonder, Part_Troll, have you ever teamed with me? We're on the same server and both play PUGs a lot.
And I have a feeling this era of AE farm babies will produce plenty of material for your stories. -

When the game feels like a job, and a boring job at that, it's grind to me.

I agree. And this game is a grind for me up until at least around level 25 on any given character.

Depends on the way you look at it. I don't see it as a grind, I see it as a hilarious challenge to try desperately not to die. -
I gotta wonder if anyone misses me when I'm gone.
Hmm, pop quiz. What was one of my original forum names? I think even I've forgotten... -
I find Titans much more fun to fight now. Wasn't much of a challenge beating on a heavily armed robot flailing clumsily with its fists.

If this game gave viruses to computers, the developers would have been sued and the game would have been shut down.

You're probably gonna end up with at least a few people on your contact list, you may as well not sweat it, just don't do their missions.
-
I think this is why I prefer Hazard Zones over most of Paragon. They're more interesting.
There's creepy Dark Astoria, ruined Crey's Folly, and the endless battles in the Rikti War Zone. The latter one especially just feels so alive. -
Grinding isn't necessarily related to rewards. Back during the AE farming craze, I found meow farms to be much, much more of a grind than soloing my Kin/Rad defender today, even though one got me levelled up far quicker.

I told ya, never start an ITF with too many sidekicks.

I miss Lady Athyna. She was nice.

I thought somebody was missing when I came back. -
Ah. Looks like overkill is still the right idea. Teleport's always been unwieldy to use in combat anyway, PvE or PvP.
Web Grenade sounds good- between Quickness, Swift and Elude, I pretty much have free unsuppressed (I assume) super speed. Heh, could ditch the travel power entirely.
If I'm gonna take Elude, I'm guessing I'm going to want as much recharge as possible. I'm saving up for LotG, I already have the rest of the set... -
The farming whining was NOTHING compared to ED, according to most veterans.
I've said 'If ED didn't kill the game, nothing will'. -
I thought Web Grenade would be handy for keeping those damn squishies in one place, but I wasn't sure. I already happen to have a phase temp power with plenty of duration left, handily.
Cutting out Whirling Sword, Parry and Elude should free up a few powers. Confront I can do, how should I slot it? Also, my current travel power is Teleport, I figure Super Jump will be much more handy (and Combat Jumping should help with the soft-capping).
Sorry to ask, but what's DR? -
Er, I think you can choose name colours in the Options menu.

Ulterior looks like a Power Rangers outfit, almost.

Your pets are your damage. Take them, slot them, upgrade them. After a while you'll be a death machine, take a few attacks so you don't get bored, and so you can show off that awesome blaster.
Masterminds have low modifiers for buffs (which include heals), so they're not really the focus of the AT.
Oh, and for the record; it's best not to use the word 'healer' around here, especially in the Defender boards. Heals are the least effective form of damage mitigation in the game, but a lot of people from other games don't seem to get this. This particular forum will laugh it off, but it's a recipe for drama elsewhere. -
'Bubble, Bubble, toil and trouble' is my LFT message.
That said, on off-peak Justice people take what they can get. I can't afford to be choosy, I'll even take a petless just to get more spawns. -
When playing a DB Brute, think Kratos.

Superman can live without his secret identity, but he doesn't want to. He'd probably go nuts. He was raised in perhaps one of the most 'normal' households you can get, he's comfortable living as an ordinary guy and donning the cape when people need his help.
Batman... is far more complicated than just an opposite. He has personas within personas- the public sees the irresponsible, carefree, reclusive billionaire, and the mysterious, intimidating Batman. Batman uses fear to his advantage, and scares many criminals straight with just a look, but is that really him?
There's the side to Batman that only his allies and enemies see- the cunning, resourceful and knowledgeable detective, who can use his brain to outwit brutes and super-geniuses before even throwing a punch, but also a broody loner who hides his emotions as best he can. And finally, there's the one very few people in the world can claim to have seen- the sad compassion of a man who has seen much of the suffering the world has to offer, who channels his grief, pain and trauma into a never-ending battle to try to stop anyone from having to go through the things he had.
Let's face it, Batman is a pretty interesting character. Only the readers get to see every side of him, and try to piece together the full picture of the man. -
Dr Doom versus Doomsday, who wins?

He left his cell phone in one of those Longbow bases, he's too embarrassed to go get it himself.
