I'd say it's more that Tyrant honestly thinks the world is better off under his boot, while Recluse is just a power-hungry, merciless SOB who doesn't care about people at all.
-
I've got a Broadsword Scrapper and Axe Tanker, and I can see the similarities. Both share many animations and attack styles, cept the former has less knockback and more -def. And of course, Tankers sure as hell aren't getting Parry in its current state.
I wonder, what would be a good replacement for Parry? -
Aw man, am I gonna have to update this antique?

1: Supergroup Mode becomes available when you join or create a Supergroup, obviously. When this mode is activated, you don't gain as much Influence/Infamy as usual (I think), but earn Prestige, which your Supergroup can use to build a base and pay rent.
2: Patrol XP comes from leaving a character offline for a day or more. When you come back to that character, you'll find some of your XP bar is blue- you'll gain 50% more experience for as long as that bar goes. Dying will not induce debt, but will reduce your remaining Patrol XP. I think you gain more Patrol XP than usual by logging off anywhere that's not a Day Job location. (if you don't know Day Jobs, there's some NPCs ingame that talk about them, try the city hall) -
Levelling my Ill/Emp, it just seems to get a million times better with every power, honestly, and I haven't even got Phantasm yet.
True, at first it's very team-oriented, and does that well- you've got *shudder* heals, a rez, and some very nice buffs. However, later on you'll get very good +recovery and +regen buffs, and you already have a self-heal on hand. When I get a pet I can actually use those buffs on, hoo baby...
Personally I took Flash, since I already have Hasten and as much +recharge as I can get for Phantom Army, may as well take advantage of it for my other powers. Sure, Spooky (so using that nickname now) keeps most enemies fairly quiet, but Flash makes sure they stay quiet. -

I think the OP said that he played Villains when it came out, so he had access to Plant on that side.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, and I did make a plant dominator as one of my first villains. I liked him a lot, but didn't get too far with it because I fell in love with masterminds. I made one of every flavor, but liked my Bot/FF the most. I felt invincible, especially once I got the panic button.
I started playing the troller a little heavier lately, and quickly realized all his SO's were yellow. I did a respec and pretty much sold them all off to have the cash to make IO's. I didn't realize how expensive IO's could be... I think I'm going to have to exemp for a loooong time.
[/ QUOTE ]
Don't sweat about getting IOs too much, they're only really useful and affordable in the 35+ range, and after that you can make money just by playing the game. Steadily replace the SOs with whatever you can find and afford, that's a good way to learn the system.
Masterminds are still excellent, and Bots/FF is one of the best builds.
Glad to see you're not sore over all the nerfs, I joined long after all the major ones but still see remnants of some serious bitterness. -
I've posted, and played, while buzzed a few times.
There's really not much difference between that and the rest of the time for me though. -
Quoth the magpie... FREEM!
Back when I lived in the country, I swear there were at least three kinds of birds that sounded like alarm clocks. Not so much in the city (late at night I just hear gunshots, hot rods, cop choppers and UFOs), but I do feed spiders to my pet lizard. -
I still have a collection of mod warnings from Lighthouse. I don't begrudge him though.
All the community mods are just trying to do their job. -
Eh, I think it fits. As I said, the Rogue Isles is what happens when you let supervillains run a country- they're a bunch of greedy, selfish psychopaths with little to no regard for law and order, why would you expect them to be good at ruling the world? Heh, makes me think Wanted...
Tyrant has just made sure he's the biggest bully in the playground, Lord Recluse knows he's in a world overpopulated with supers and tries to get the best on his side. -
If anyone makes a Natural origin with these powers, I'm leaving to CO. And putting flames, neon and hydraulics on my power armour.
-
I dunno, the Mission Teleporter is really damn good, even after you have all your other ways of getting around.
-
Would it be so hard to both kill stuff for purples and play the market for purples? More on the market that way, everyone's happy.
The ITF sounds like a good way to kill multiple birds with one stone. Co-op for the most people, lots of level 50+ enemies, merits, AVs, and I feel after beating Romulus and co and saving Cimerora for the millionth time, you've earned a little farming on the side. -
The only stupid question is the one you don't ask.
But yeah, best avoid posting in Suggestions and Ideas for a while.
As for Pocket D, it works well as a 'hub' of sorts between some zones. Be warned, the other zones it exits into have much higher-level enemies than King's Row. You can also get a teleport power that automatically takes you into the exclusive Tiki Lounge area, from the Good vs Evil edition or in-game item pack. -

What AT/Powersets do you think would you choose if you were going to make a vampire?
I considered a Necromancy/Dark Mastermind, but then I realized I've never seen a Vampire that controls Zombies.
[/ QUOTE ]
FYI
The old "Vampire: The Masquerade" role playing game had a whole clan of Necromancer vampires.
That game has a whole bunch of concepts and ideas that you could use (As long as you dont break the EULA with names)
[/ QUOTE ]
Warhammer vampires lead entire armies of zombies and skeletons.
A Dark/Dark or Dark/Regen Scrapper or Stalker sounds like it'd work well to me. But honestly, there's so many different definitions and versions of 'vampire' that there's not really much you can't try.
Oh, and don't -dare- use heroic Invulnerability or the sparkle aura. -
Massacre sounds like the kind of makeup brand that would be popular in the Rogue Isles.
-
Eh, that kind of setting doesn't really fit a crime-ridden hellhole infested with superpowered mercenaries, though. Anyone busting supervillains out of prison and letting them run free in their backyard can't be all that interested in order. The Rogue Isles seem to fit being anarchic, and Arachnos fits that.
I think Arachnos makes more sense when you come out of the shiny, futuristic city with robots, hover-drones, mutants and whatnot, back into Paragon City where they still have petrol cars, purse snatchers and monorails. Arachnos are decades ahead of everyone else, and possess every kind of power there is to be had in the world, and their infighting is possibly the only thing keeping them in check. -
...so if I'm rambling and no one's there to read it, am I still annoying?

If I ramble on in Justice for All when nobody else is online, am I communicating?

Talking constantly is not communication.

I'll put it another way... am I speaking if no one is there to hear it? -

I still haven't done half of the canon content in this game and they keep releasing more, maybe that's why it doesn't feel like a grind.
Yay for being behind! -

I find Titans much more fun to fight now. Wasn't much of a challenge beating on a heavily armed robot flailing clumsily with its fists.
[/ QUOTE ]
No, but it was fun not being two-shotted and actually winning.

Yeah well, you're soloing Malta on a Blaster, what do you expect? -
If anime has taught me anything, it's that people over 60 are total badasses.
