A new APP for Defenders/Corruptors that has +defense toggle.. Preferably Energy based since ice looks terrible.
A looking at of some of the ranged mechanics, such as Nukes and Snipes.
Help Range catch up to the melee power creep. -

Ehh, BK is behind the times..
Denny's came out with that nearly a year ago, is was larger and had more bacon.. They also had bacon-embedded pancakes!
Granted they were all on a limited time basis. -
Matt "Positron" Miller always makes sure to carry his own supply of Enriche' in case he needs to open a bottle of whoop-**** on some poor fool.

I really have nothing against trials, though I wish they were all capped at 16 people. That's enough to give us the whole "End game-raid feel" that I think the devs wanted, while not enough to be total overkill.
It's pretty nuts when youre on a full team of 24 and everyone is spamming their Destinies, Lores, MM's have their pets out, and everyone is using their buffs, its total sensory overload and sometimes I can barely see what it is we're fighting lol.
As for cross-server teaming for itrials, and perhaps even TF's, I'm all for that.
Though how would the game handle the team forming? itrials do benefit from a modicum of team organization, such has having a few damage sponges, etc. I guess we could flag ourselves as either "DPS-y, Tanky, Supporty" and the game matches us all together making sure its a nice mixture. -
Quote:Heh that would be pretty cool.. And they could make it a KnockDOWN heavy set. Do we have any ranged set like that yet?If they make a Stone Manipulation secondary for blasters, they should sure as heck make a Stone Blast set. THAT would be awesome... Subsonic stone javelins and exploding volcanic boulders.... YES!
Could have "Sand Blast" attack that would blind (disorient) the target, would be kinda neat. -

I'm all for the charity, but just leave it at that. No in-game goodies, costumes, or followers..
Knowing you just helped feed or clothe a starving child should be reward enough. -
I dunno, Robocop sure is kickass enough, but isn't he a bit monotone and.. stiff? Whereas Jackson is usually super expressive and animated. Not sure if Robocop would be a great match for him..

Quote:You weren't kidding, I was expecting some somewhat obscure characters with a few fairly known ones tossed in for good measure, but freaking Bowser and Eggman? Holy cow, can't get much more main stream then them.Yeah...the sheer amount of liscensed characters in that trailer alone, you're looking at, I think 10 different video game companies, some that aren't even around anymore (the robot in the meeting is from Rise of the Robots IIRC).
This, I think, could be the video game equivilent of Who Framed Roger Rabbit. -
Hmm damage powers only? Bah, there goes my plans on putting into Handclap..
Though it could be hella useful for those powers with "scattery" Knockback, like Explosive Arrow or Frag Grenade.. I might pick up Electron Haze on my /Rad defender now, if I can make room for it.
Could work nicely in Gale, turning that power into a KB power should make it quite strong, but then again it might serve better in Tornado. All depends on the player and the other powe r set I suppose.
Heh, it would make Repulsion Field a mighty useful power if only you slot it into that.. And we'll have to see how its handled in Bonfire, that could be a beast.
Any word on how long these will be available? I'm guessing we're gonna want to load up on them if they are limited time, since they are non-tradable, and who knows what kind of builds a person will come up with sometime down the line.. -

Virtue has a fair amount of RP, as well as a large population. Although, like stated above, it's still not extremely common and you have to seek it out yourself. There should be a few global channels or Supergroups formed for just a thing. If RP really interests you then I would recommend hoping onto Virtue, and trying to find a good RP Supergroup and global channels.
Just the other day I (unknowingly, was an invite from a friend) joined an "RP AE" group. They were doing each other's AE missions, reading the clues, and RPing it all along the way.. There was more Rping going on than playing. It drove me absolutely bonkers (not much of an RPer myself) so I politely stepped out after about an hour. Although I was glad to see them doing it and enjoying themselves. -
Quote:Ahh yes, there we go.Funny you should mention Gone With the Wind: Box office adjusted for inflation. Avengers is #35. For now.
#35 is still quite impressive, especially since most the stuff above it are pure classics.. and it isn't done earning yet! -
These lists really need to be adjusted for inflation or something. Comparing movies today (when tickets cost in the realm of 12-15 bucks a pop) to movies back during the "Gone With the Wind" era (when tickets cost much, much, MUCH less) just isn't valid.
Of course newer movies are going to make more and more money, since ticket prices have doubled in the last decade.. Which makes stuff like Titanic's number 2 position even that much more impressive, as it probably sold more actual tickets than Avatar.
Regardless, I'm glad to see Avengers is doing well.
and I like how the first 4 digits are "1,337" lmao -
Do we know if the Absorb mechanic takes into account a character's Resistance? (and Defense, for that matter?)
Sounds silly, I know.. But several games which sport a similar "Absorb/Shield" mechanic only count the raw unmitigated damage against the Absorb Shield, which makes them go poof much quicker than one would expect. -
Rad and Dark primaries immediately spring to mind. Both offer very solid offensive and defensive debuffs, and a handy heal. I imagine Time fairs well too, if you have access to that.. I know it's pretty beastly on IOs, should be good on SOs as well.
Some secondaries to consider would probably be ice, sonic, and probably fire.
Ice Blast - Good single target damage, above average AoE damage. Ice Storm and Blizzard use Blaster damage numbers. Also has a very nice single target hold.
Sonic - As stated in a post above, massive res stacking. Good single target damage, but AoE can be lackluster at times. Great control as well, with sleeps and a single target stun.
Fire Blast - Good damage across the board, but little to no control or useful secondary effects (well, its secondary effect is "maor damage!"). Sadly, Rain of Fire does not use Blaster mods, so it takes a considerable hit over the Corruptor version.
Dark/Dark is also very sturdy if you don't mind semi-slow killing speeds, and should have little issues on x6-x8 mob spawns, even on SOs. -
Quote:While it's true that our tanks make most other MMO tanks look like paper sheets, there tends to be a lot less 'toe-stepping' in those games as well..Not really in the same sense we do >.> Johnny thinks it is bad for tanks here he should go play one of the holy trinity DPS/Tank/heals games and see how bad tanks have it there, healer doesn't pay attention and stops healing you go splat, DPS get scrapperlocked and aggro another group you are expected to survive without losing a bit of health. If anything goes wrong it is your fault.
Most DPS go splat in moments if they try to tank anything serious. There are exceptions of course.
Regardless, looking forward to buying up the Mecha stuff and playing around with it tomorrow. -
Quote:Well I used to live in a small town, but not anymore..Do you live in a small town? I'm just curious, because that seems to be such a small town way of thinking.
When I lived in San Diego (now in a small town), it was all "Hmmm...gotta go all the way there...lets go!"
Oddly enough, when I did live in a small town we had our own local cinema.. It wasn't grand or anything, but it worked well enough.
Now I live in Southern California along the coast, lots of people and stuff here.. just no cinemas.. go figure. -
Funny thing about District 9, it is so far the only movie to date that made me sick to my stomach..
It wasn't the content, or anything like that.. I think it must have been the camera work, since it was kind of a "shaky cam" approach, which somehow made me nauseous..
I actually had to walk out half way through the movie because I was about to keel over and lose my dinner lol (and no it wasn't the dinner's fault, I felt better shortly after leaving
For the record, I generally do not get sea sick, or motion sickness in general.. so I dunno xD
Anyway, to keep myself sort of on topic.. Haven't seen the movie yet, and my nearest cinema is like 25 minutes away.. So I only go see movies that really interest me. -
Quote:Yea, you can. Used to happen quite often back when the TF was first released.. People don't even seem to bother anymore, since more people are IO'd out and Incarnate powers breaking the TF lol.You mean you can pull them separately? I always assumed that they attacked when you started destroying the computer, every single group I've been in has simultaneously taken on both AV's and the bot swarm. Honestly, not a big deal, both AV's are just a tank and spank, you just need a durable enough tank/enough support to keep them under control. Unless your team does something crazy like focusing the computer first it's really not that hard.

Quote:There was a global end reduction applied to powers when ED hit, I believe to help counteract the loss of 6-slotted stamina.I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't this (or something like this) used to be the case? I seem to recall that blaster attacks had a lower end cost than similar powers for other ATs but then at some point everyone else's end costs got reduced while blaster's stayed the same.
Edit: Hmm, I think I might have been recalling the end reduction of tanker and defender attacks from back in Issue 2.
Was somewhere in the region or 12.5% iirc.
Also, Blasters pay less endurance per point of damage then Defenders or Curruptors, since their attacks do more damage for the same END cost. -
I totally read the title in this guy's voice;
