Some people forget, some people don't. Why assume they're one of the forgetful ones, and then end up annoyed when they either ignore you, or tell you to bleep off? You're the one that bothered them when they clearly said they didn't want to team.

As for playing solo, sometimes people just want to play solo, or are doing RL stuff at the same time, or a billion other reasons. Just because you're playing an MMO, doesn't meant you HAVE to team. Show some courtesy, leave them alone.

its not a case of wanting to play solo, if they want to play solo, fine, but if you dont want to be disturbed thats what the 'hide from searches' feature is for.

I agree it doesnt mean you have to team, but if you are showing in searches its just common sense your going to receive a message or two asking if you want to team.

Not replying to that without a genuine reason such as being afk is just plain arrogance.

Either way arguing about it here will solve nothing anyway :P

Haha i totally agree with you, pre partial tells you got 95% replies to tells, now its dropped to about 60% just because people are arrogant.

It is frustrating to send 10 tells and about 5 or 6 come back with a reply.

Just a quick query, if i take the pool stealth power, would it increase the chances of me just pulling one mob with sniper powers or does it not affect the agro?

Ive had this a few times now, but it seems villains are showing up on hero search, its usually between levels 1-10 but ive had it happen once with 35-45 range a week or so ago.

Wondering if as it stands it could lead to villains roaming on heroes? for instance, team invite from team search screen, recall friend etc?

either way i just thought it was a weird bug, Screenie included.

I guess that makes me a moron because there terrible coming from a 50 Shield/SS tank. If your willing to spend like 300 billion on your tank yes, its gonna be good no matter what set you choose.

Without all those weeks farming though, you will be just be the squishiest scranker there is.

Seriously, when you get it to 50, raise yourself a 'proper' tank and compare them. You will see the difference instantly.

I take it all back. Tonight after sending an invite to 'player_x' I received a snotty tell regarding my rudeness.

player_x also suggested that no reply from him/her to the 'hi there, u lft at all?' meant 'not interested'.

After a lengthy discussion we came to the agreement that I would try not bother player_x in future. To ensure I was true to my word I popped player_x on global ignore.

2 minutes later a teammate said in team chat.........

"Player_x is lft"

I would suggest that Player_x had made his/her bed and that now he/she has to [censored] off in it.

Your completly right with that, more than once now though fighting for the other side, ive had many blind invites when my search comment clearly says 'no blinds' usually from players level 1-10, which i refuse then get spammed over and over again. Usually these people have the same global name as the charecter so im guessing there trial noobs but it is very frustrating.

Now its got to the point where if i recieve a blind invite and i have no idea who its from more than once, they will just get added to ignore.

I dont agree with the snotty tells to a blind invite, but truth is, its common courtesy to at least be friendly towards people.

End of day though, if you dont mind blind invites, fine, but if you cant be bothered writing a simple message saying 'hi you lft atm? level x team going in y area' then you dont really have a right to complain when people cant be bothered joining the team with something that could easily be done.

When you get to 50 and you get random invites while your trying to sell in wentworths from people 20-30 levels lower, you will understand better

I agree with the comment about 'dont sit in the looking for team section if you dont want a team' though, it is frustrating to think you might be able to fill the team up until half the people you ask refuse anyway or just dont bother to reply.

A lot of these issues could be solved by improved invite messages on the actual game though as mentioned above, for instance instead of:
'player has invited you to team. Do you want to join?'
It could be changed to:
'player has invited you to join a team. There are currently x players in the team ranging from levels x to y. Do you want to join?'

I deliberately left the area out because if the team is in more than one zone it would cause issues but theres no real reason why it could work like that and save going through each person in the list and sending a message that half of them dont even bother to reply to.

After leaving cohupdater for 45 mins, it connected, but support tried blaming my router again

On further checks, its all the cohupdate.cityofheroes.com connections.

The uk.cohupdate.coh.com connections are all refusing connection.

The rest are all fine.

Found the issue and emailed support, but probably wont do anything till tomorow.

I know exactly what you mean, once my subs gone, thats it. Its not getting renewed.

Its one thing to have mapserver disconnections every two minutes on a map, its another completly to not be able to connect.

Sad thing is nothing will probably be done till tomorow morning because ncsoft dont believe in doing there job at the weekend :/

Mines the same mccoll, its Protection from sg, last weeks solution of ipconfig/flushdns isnt working either :/

well then why on mids is it saying its reached cap limit on the sets and bonuses section and no longer applying it to totals?

im just concerned that im going to go out and spend a load of influence that isnt going to do anything. Or is there a limit to how many of the same set you can place in a build other than the unique ones?

I had planned around 5-6 sets of numinas but on the sets and bonuses section it only actually counted 4 of them, and said the other two were over cap limit.

I was making a build with recipes for my broadsword/regen scrapper on mids earlier, and i got to 110% regen boost from recipes before i hit cap, now ive just done it on a new build, and its capping at 60%.

Can anyone explain why its doing this? is it linked with +hp as well? i slotted for more hp, but overall the regen is down.

Im trying to slot for maximum regen and hp, with bits of accuracy, damage and recharge to help with attack, but since regen caps changed i dont know if its broken or not.

With DR, tough is completly negated? wow i didnt know that, thank you for the info. Base resists i thought were linked with tough until i just checked as i read that.

think theres probably a few other charecters that dont actually need it then as well.

as i said, the heal from aid self would be because the heal on regen is still 30 seconds charge when hasten isnt on slotted, with no resists your taking full damage from every hit. where as aid self is 10 seconds.

also you said that fighting pool isnt worth it, even with the improved tough now giving resist boosts to every type of damage? 27% on everything is the resists with tough and resilience, that seems a decent amount to say its on everything to me, that means about a quarter of the damage you would usually take is mitigated if i understand it right.

you have a good point about the +hp though, i didnt think of it that way thank you. moment of glory seems pretty handy to work in if things are going badly though il have to admit.

how does regen compare to invul or dark in pvp now? the more resist based sets?

looking at mids though, is dull pain worth it? i mean its a nice heal but the recharge is awful.

slotted without hasten, its still 180 seconds recharge. thats a really long time for a heal.

also how important would you say aid self would be with regen? i know its the pool power but with reconstuction, thats still a 30 second cooldown without hasten on when slotted. where as aid self can be used every 10 seconds, im having trouble fitting in all the pool powers at the minute.

so far ive got worked in, fitness, fighting, leaping and concealment.

the worry i have, is because im going to have low resists, il drop hp faster than the heal recharges so il be stuck. how often does this happen?

i have a kin/archery defender already on 50, its not bad, but you spend a lot of time buffing up and by time you have done the mobs already dead, its not down to recharges its down to animation times.

I dont use siphon power because the boost is small and you wouldnt have enough time to use it anyway, my attack set up currently is fulcrum shift, aim, rain of arrows, then fistful of arrows so that the RoA lands.

all this together still doesnt quiet catch up with a blaster using aim and build up it seems like, also, defender damage cap is 300% not 400% as stated earlier, you can check it, it caps at 300%.

with power build up in there, it would still take 2-3 FS's i reckon but im too lazy to work out the actual timing

as the post says, is scrapper regen set still viable in pvp now? i heard it got hit heavily in i13 but i havent seen anyone using it to see how badly, is it that bad?

To be honest ive had enough of it, every issue you get these sort of problems now with server stability, but not being able to connect at all is the final straw.

every other game i play is fine, every other aspect of my internets fine.

Im ashamed to admit but ive just been on WoW and there servers are working. Really this isnt on at all.

if you had a toggle like with some small defence bonus for instance that you get on your secondary at level 1, that keeps both weapons drawn would work surely?
