Just happened to me but with Defiant. After a while I could get in only to have a Mapserver Disconnected, and now I can't even run Updater.
I can't even get the updater to connect, and neither can a couple of friends of mine.
I am having the exact same prob with the DB server all my toons are on union i can see me going back to Xbox at this rate massive lag constant loss of map server issues and now i cant log in at all why do i pay to play at all

Nibiru, Create a shortcut to the cityofheroes.exe file - Right click 'create shortcut' on the CoH .exe file
"C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\CityOfHeroes.exe" -project eucoh
This should start the game without the updater, you must have had the latest patch for it to work though, but at least that will get you on-duty.
i cant get the updater to work at all just keeps connecting but my US one is working fine what the heck is happening dont the want us to play anymore
Mines the same mccoll, its Protection from sg, last weeks solution of ipconfig/flushdns isnt working either :/
seriously they need to build the servers out of something a bit more sturdy than play doh :/
