  1. Okay dumb question, but in your first option what does being able to fly FTL(faster than light I assume) have to do with the question? Bascially I'm Superman?
  2. Tankhands had me rolling!
  3. DOH! i just realized that I managed to hit your thread with a jack and didn't even comment on your coloring! Obviously as I'm just learning myself I think you are doing a great job Bubba! I can't wait to see the finished piece!(I think I just heard an echo of VexXa in here...)
  4. I can haz your stuffz?

Come on... it had to be said!

    Good luck!
  5. I'm just glad to see Dwayne Johnson back in some action for his latest movies. Enough with the family stuff. I know and respect why he did it but come on who doesn't want to see him trash stuff and lay some smack down on some candy a...... Now if only we could get him and Vin in a good Riddick movie.....
  6. I agree with Henri. I've been dabbling in some digital coloring lately (Goblin Queen is one that has been posted and another waiting for approval from the owner to post). But this post helped to put things in perspective so to speak. I do wonder though, if an artist doesn't really indicate light source in their lines then is it okay for the colorist to make one?

This a thousand times over. Marvel finally does things right again! I mean with the movies in general not just this one...

19th century-early 20th century - Megatron is discovered by Captain Archibald Witwicky; years later Sector 7 discovers the All Spark and builds Hoover Dam to conceal it.

1969 - NASA astronauts discover what appears to be Nemesis on the Moon.

2007 - Mars rover catches a glimpse of a Decepticon on the Red Planet; Autobots and Decepticons land on Earth and search for the All Spark; Megatron is reawakened.

2009 - Megatron discovers The Fallen who is eventually released from his "cage" and attempts to blow up the Sun.

I don't see this so much as a form of retconning or anything all that confusing, but just that we keep bumping into stuff/long classified material is suddenly coming to light. All the stuff that happens before 2007 is just classified/hidden information coming out in the open, because of what's going on in present day; for the audiences' sake.

But as someone else said, if all movies/TV shows/books/comics/games followed perfect logic, there wouldn't be a story for those things. How many horror films would we have if the victims just vaporized, torched, blew up, or shot the guy trying to kill them? If Batman had just shot the Joker after their first encounter, or Superman melted Luthor's brain, how long would those stories have lasted?

EDIT: Also as far as the "weird" title name: I thought I'd remind everyone that Optimus Prime is a semi-truck.

    EDIT 2: Alpha-One nailed it.
Thanks for the timeline it does help! BUT did the Autobots show up in 2007 or in 1969 on the Nemesis?

    The Tin Tower

Okay I can understand that. Then I guess I DO want a little bit of the story of what I'm looking at. I know it's awesomeBBQsauce11111 but I want more info! :-)
  12. QuiJon - I was thinking the same thing. The first movie, Megatron was discovered in what the 1800s in ice(am I remembering correctly?). Then in the second an entire group of Decepticons were stuck on Mars(right?) and were reawakened. Now we have transformers found in the '60s and what? We left them there? AND they didn't bother waking up when all of the above transformers did?

Yes I realize we haven't seen much but that little bit is quite confusing timeline wise.

BUT I will say I loved that when the astronauts crested the hill to see the space shipe that it looked very similar to the image from the G-1 cartoons. I watched the first two and enjoyed them for the action flicks they were. I'm sure I will watch this one and dismiss all the plot holes and oddities just like the first two and enjoy it well enough.

Tech - You should get someone to check that jaw out... it's been falling on the floor a lot lately. :-)

Dumple - Okay you must show us some screen shots because I see some character progression here...

Rosen - I don't know how to describe how amazing I think your art is. Really it's definitely envy worthy and jealousy inspiring! AMAZING! I love everything about these pieces. Scout is a wonderful twist on the Crabs in game and Dumple's piece is such eye candy... Speaking of eye candy the two pieces before Dumble's.... WOW! The kid and the eyes dont' even look drawn. O_O
  14. Yeah but he is standing on the SIDE of a building. Reminds me of an old Batman episode. LOL

I assume it's the hovor while emoting trick. I just never knew how to do it.
  15. Henri, I just noticed the next issue of your comic up there. It's great! I love the story so far! Also your robots are really amazing. They are all different which says a lot considering the parts you have to work with. Good job mate!
  16. LOL Okay I had to go back and look at that image and wonder what was so cool about it.... Then it hit me. Henri how did you do that? Too cool!
  17. As far as the time frame of possible conception with Rick, didn't Andrea or Jacqui tell the doctor they hadn't eaten in days? Assuming so we know they ate the last day of camp and Rick went back for Merle the day before that or that day, which was possibly a day or more after the possible conception with Rick. So therefore it could easily have been around 10 days or more. Plus if it was/is Shane's baby then the time frame really is inconsequential to everyone but Rick.

I have only read the first issue of the graphic novel and if what Lothic's spoiler says is true then that makes WAY more sense for the Dr. to tell Rick.
  18. My sarcastic surprise was just that.... sarcastic. Was I surprised someone questioned the original paper? No. Was I surprised someone questioned the questioning of the original paper? No. I just thought I'd try (unsuccessfully) to point out that there was more (though assumptive in nature) info to the OP. Next time I'll just link to the article and go on my merry way.

Oh I give up. I'm going back to drinking and just going to quit trying to make any points on the internet.

Something I just noticed in certain warehouses is that at times the textures are applied haphazardly, like they mixed textures from different sets. We know we used to have one hero and one villain version of the basic warehouses which, to the best I can tell, have been replaced with one teal and one brown warehouse. Here's the thing, though: These are sometimes mixed.

Just yesterday, I came across a map that had old hero textures, od villain textures, new teal textures and new brown textures... ALL ON THE SAME ONE WALL. It looked really bad, especially from a distance, because it was just a mishmash of colours and patterns. I've seen this on a lot of the new maps, where one wall in one room will be wholly from a different set, but this one room was just... Absurd. And yes, I bugged it.
This isn't on-topic at all but after reading this post the Offspring song Keep 'em Seperated just keeps playing in my head!
  20. I think we just read completely different articles. Other than the last two or three paragraphs where the guy directly says they were being hypicrits, the rest of the article lists very specific things by (per the article) very knowledgeable people that the NASA researchers did/potentially did in error.

Does it say anything about them refusing to "do the science"? Not that I saw or read. I even went back and re-read it in case I had missed something in my comprehension of the English language. I have been known to be a "complete idiot when it comes to language" at times.

Again, this goes back to the arguement earlier that someone has come up with a scientific discovery; it's already been accepted by some people as accurate/fact/true/whatever and those people will not listen to an opposing view. Thanks for demonstrating my point.
  21. Could she have moved the steering wheel MORE? OMG! It was like watching my grandmother drive. She made me car sick, and I LOVE DRIVING!
  22. I think that's part of the question this article is bringing to light.... the lack of peer review. Plus the fact that NASA made a big deal about this via a news conference but won't comment on it in the same media. I don't think anyone said anyone was an idiot, just that they questioned their methods. NASA did say they'd offer samples for others to test, but even that didn't sound so convincing.
