Odd. When I did it last Friday on my blaster, I got the corruptor power.
  2. I'd prefer Option 2. I think leaving legacy options in, even at the expense of more clutter and less consistent design, is the better choice.

Chances are I'd like the new textures, but on the off chance I don't, I'd prefer being able to use the older ones.
  3. "Idiot! Why'd you go aggro that guy instead of attacking the guy standing right next to you?" Said to a confused enemy who brought on more trouble than I could handle.
  4. @Placta; blueside.

EDIT: I have the badges now; thanks again. If I'm available, I'd be willing to join future runs, filling in whatever is needed.

He has a Dull Pain like power which made him immortal if you didn't have enough DPS.

    We had the following:

    Tank Inv/SS
    Def FF/NRG
Blaster NRG/? want to say EM or EleM but not sure. Not devices and not Fire or Ice
    Controller Grav/Kin
    Controller Mind/Emp
Scrapper Dark/Dark (Might have switched out for a Kin/Psi at some point, don't remember)

We were basically stuck until we called in a friend of ours on his Warshade.
He was next to impossible for me to beat solo (elec/elec blaster) as an EB. It took 7+ minutes and two Shivans, and I was down to my last trick to keep him from being able to kill me when he fell.
  6. What is your favorite badge?
    -Why?(Optional)

Mistress of Olympus. I like giant monsters, and Kronos is my favorite of them. On top of that, I think it sounds cool even without the context. It's my default badge title, although most of my characters who have it have moved on to different badges.

What badge, in your mind, is a pain to get?
    -Why?(Optional)

Lots of them. I have a particular dislike for the healing badges, which I have some progress toward on my blaster that I have no idea where it came from. And my emp, who admittedly soloed a good portion of the way to 50, only has one.
  7. I'm interested, but work and family schedule probably means I could only make the KTF, and only about half the time. (This week looks good.)

My main is a blaster, and still needs the badge. I also have an invuln tanker and emp defender, and a few other 50s.

    Global name @Placta.
  8. Council Nosferatu also spawns at a minimum level of 42 (unless they've changed that recently), so maybe gain a level doing something else and come back.
  9. I'm probably going to take my villains at least partially over to blueside because I don't like redside and most of the villains I rolled the first day I had the game have gone sadly unused since.

Depending what incentive there is to not do so, I may have my main go vigilante to pick up at least some of the redside badges. Still haven't decided, and probably won't until GR launches.

That's the only two reasons for me. Maybe I'd have a hero switch sides if it fit their arc, but I generally prefer to play entirely devoted to good heroes, so I doubt the situation would come up.
  10. I skipped the melee attacks on my elec/elec (except Shocking Grasp, which I didn't read the description for close enough or I would have skipped it, and I respecked out after picking up Shocking Bolt). At this point, continuing not to take them is as much stubbornness as anything else; although there's also the thought that if I haven't missed them through everything I've done so far, they can't be that important.
  11. I got my warshade to 50, which means I now have one 50 of each hero archetype.

AE places Nosferatu's level range at 42-54. (Actually 42-45 and 45-54 for some reason.) That's for the Council version; the 5th Column version from the Lazarus TF is different.

Similarly, Vanessa DeVore's minimum level is 48.

Where was this? I don't remember seeing it, and ParagonWiki didn't pick up on it.

Mind, I wouldn't be surprised if it was.
  14. I've got an Elyos on Ariel. I'll make an Asmodian on Israphel as soon as it'll let me. Sigh.

Game's okay. Reminds me a lot of Neverwinter Nights.
  15. When going through elevators, my pets will sometimes not follow correctly. Using Recall Friend to bring them to my location does not work, as they teleport in and then run back to where they were, straight through the walls. Going back through the elevator can sometimes fix the situation, but the only reliable "fix" I've found is to dismiss the bugged pets and resummon.

When I did it last summer, it gave me the 45-50 badges. I don't know if it's changed since.

Edit: Checked it on Test and the badges awarded were indeed the 35-39 ones. So, yeah, Benjamin Decker's probably the best bet.
  17. I used the Ouroboros Initiation arc:

    1. Click glowie.
    2. Defeat 25 enemies, rescue 7 hostages, click glowie.
    3. Rescue hostage, defeat boss.
    4. Rescue hostage, blow up meteor.

    The good points:
    1. Losing your travel power isn't a big deal at all, since all missions are in the Ouroboros citadel.
    2. Running the arc took me 10-20 minutes total, depending on challenge settings. I had all eight badges in about an hour.
    3. If you don't have the Isolator badge, you'll get it. The last mission is full of Shivans, so you can work toward the Man/Woman in Black badge as well.

    The bad points:
    1. The second mission exemplars you down to level 1, which hurts, especially when stacked with some of the challenge settings (I remember player debuffed was especially bad). This will get slightly less annoying when Issue 16 hits.

    No XP?

Were you in test mode? If so, you won't get any rewards – XP, inf, tickets – other than a handful of badges (most of which begin with "Virtual").

    New project....

Of all the enemy groups, Placta bears a special hatred for Red Caps.

    The first one.

Why do people still play blueside again?

For me, it's because a good chunk of redside content makes me sick.

    POST IS FULL OF SPOILERS!!!

    [/ QUOTE ]
    Nope.

AFAIK, the Rikti never encountered Praetorian Earth.

[/ QUOTE ]Pretty sure you're wrong, and the Rikti did reach Praetorian Earth. But since the Praetorians weren't the "super heroes" that attacked them first, they left Praetorian Earth in peace. I don't recall if they actually made contact or just popped in and left, but they did reach Tyrant's dimension.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The Rikti are at least aware of Praetorian Earth. In Serpent Drummer's arc, Lk'Onik has this to say:

    "'Longtime Didn't: Trust Humans.
    We Thought: Humans Attacked: First.
    Was There: First Attack.
    Thousands: Dead. Lost: Everything Important.
    Looked like: Freedom Phalanx.
    Further Attacks: Dozens.
    Finally Traced: Point of Origin.
    Thought Justification: Protecting Ourselves.
    ... : ...
Since then, seen: Freedom Phalanx; Seen: Earth-Heroes.
    Phalanx = Attackers: Impossible.
My Theory: Praetorians. Nothing Else: Makes Sense."
  23. On the one hand, I like the mastermind and stalker I've played, but don't like redside content, so I want to bring my villains over to Paragon City and never look back. On the other hand, I don't really want to abandon half the game, even though I don't like that half.

In either case, it gives me an incentive to level up my villains. That can't be a bad thing. And who knows, maybe I'll find a few more redside arcs I like.

And depending how hard side switching is and what incentive there is for not doing so, I'd be sorely tempted to bring my blaster over to rack up badges. At least the ones available to heroes that are difficult to get on blueside.

    4) Additionally, no edits and updating of arcs is allowed during the judging period. If edits / updates are completed on your arc during the judging period your arc will be automatically disqualified.

    [/ QUOTE ]

What if there's a change to the way that the Architect works that invalidates an arc?

I had my arc invalidated with the latest patch because one of my enemy descriptions was too long. And it wasn't a custom enemy, or something I wrote, or anything anyone's likely to read (I'd never read it before today, and I added him to the arc during i14 betat!); just a regular 5th Column guy using the default description.
