January 27th. "Together they Stand"
When Hero Corps broadcasted the sudden rise in criminal activity this weekend, it seems like the entire roster of the Militia took to the streets. Throughout the day, they tirelessly fought Arachnos, Freakshow, Vampyrii, The Council and the Fire Bolg, putting out a clear and precise message to the alleged new Kingpin. Overall, a good day for the celebrity heroes both in preventing a sudden storm of criminals but also repairing their public image, which was recently stained by the Nightsparrow arrest and Hyper Drive's rampage.
We managed to have a quick word with The Ultimate and this is what he had to say "I want to take this opportunity to send a message to all our friends and supporters inside the Zig. TRACOR, I'm looking right at you... Cerborus, Centron, Nitrolok, Dr. Vahzilok and all you other small-timers - The Militia is watching and we're here all night baby. Remember to clean up that cell, say no to the drugs and err... don't bend over."
On patrol today were Unit-29, Silver-Steel, Devil Wind, Seph Reet, Tygerboy, Dante S. Carver, Tarei, Gauisus Somnium, Genesis Blade, Wild Child, The Portent, The Ultimate, Dragonfly, Shydow Flysh, Stalingrad, Inuit X, Jayhawk, Barbwire, Ebon Tear, Vigilante Storm, Cryotherapy, the Amber Banshee, leaders Mer'de, the Masked Angel, Lady Cobra, Crimson Archer, Force Commander and new recuits Jessica Chang, Jaded Harmony, Twilight Shinobi, Em-pulse, Speedie, Wynd Flysh, Utered Oath, Lady Patriot, X-Saviour and Cosmic Silver. That is a presence of over thirty and well into the fifties when accounting Derek, Hyper Drive, Healing Chi, Helvetic Knight, Extrisity, Charlie-Bravo, Pious Hunter, Hyper Cat, Kobra Guard, Caul, the Keening Banshee, Radiated Kin, and new recruits Slix, Redsight and Aqua Boy, including others currently on holiday. It seems from the proof provided today that the Militia really are a force to rely on. -
Good, because I like stuff like this. I look forward to seeing more posters. Make sure they're as good!
Meanwhile, I'll take a screenshot for Pistol and think of a cool 'obey' slogan for her. -
Militia has asked Hero Corps to forward a message, requesting hero assistance on this task force.
-
Yep. I realised this fact three days ago and chapter 9 and onwards are now in one thread, with a link to all these previous ones.
-
Its an idea that regularly visits the forums and there are quite a few supergroups out there now who started like this, so that proves it can be done. Good luck dude, have fun.
-
Yeah lots of errors in there, thanks for pointing them out. Will use your post when editting.
However, it's probably best to clarify a few things, that I probably should have in the text:
Sabrina lives near Kashgar in Xinjiang.
Angel is here, essentially on vacation and so Sabrina took her to see the Great Wall to entertain her.
She isn't quick to act on the old man's warning and the sight of the zombies in Kashgar for reasons that are revealed much later on.
Sabrina teleports the party from Kashgar to Bangkok to meet a tailor and then to Beijing. Its essentially a sightseeing trip for Angel. I'll clarify this in the text.
Looking forward to what you think of the following chapters. -
Hmm. Good point. I has alot of editing to do on this one it seems. Thank u thank u thank u.

* about the complex
Wow, you're right. I like so totally used the wrong numbers. I'll just not use numbers.
* About Igor Noren-ko
Typo. I meant blue fur.
* Amber and Mer'de talk
You're right. "...dimensional spacecraft", says the Journere. sounds better.
* Igor, Amber, Dragonfly, Meriam descriptions
Just so I don't bore the readers with too much detail, I've tried to give a full picture of the two main characters while keeping it brief on supporting roles.
* Nuntius Angelus and Pious Hunter
The thing here is these two people are one and the same person. I guess it would be confusing for the reader, you're right. I'll either remove him from the meeting or explain the split personality better in some way.
* Recall
Yeah, this was one of those duex ex moments, when Sabrina cannot actually teleport or recall (by memory) herself, person or object without the actual sword. I think it'd have been simpler to just have Mer'de transport them and their luggage held on them. Thanks for point this out.
* Characters in the room
Yes. The original eight present at the meeting are Igor, Saff, Meriam, Sergeant Stone, Gausius Somnium, Ebon Tear, Pious Hunter/Nuntius and Derek. Then Sabrina entered, followed by FC. I wouldn't get hung up on this if I were you. lol. Did you find it confusing, or something?
Thanks a million for the comments Faery, its what I needed to edit and improve the story. You're really good at this aren't you, you should be like an editor or something. I look forward to seeing what you think of the following chapters. -
To give Beet and I time to set us the base, finalise on live or test server and give you time to set up questions and a guest lists... outside DXP, I'd say next friday.
-
Ooowoo, I like this one, nice imagery of this falling man. *wink* Staying on this channel.
-
I have an idea if we choose the live server - a supergroup simply called 'The Talkshow' with essentially two members, 'Sponsor' (myself) and 'Architect' (Beet). To access the base/studio, the SG offers a coalition to 10 participating RPSG's. Other participants can be kept an SG leader's team, to access the base/studio.
-
Oh wow. Cool pose, nice hat, great colours, nice poster!! Do mine?
-
Comments on the appropriate individual thread/post, thank you please. Edit: Thank u thank u thank u xx

Yay more sketches! Looking forward to seeing more, Swisscheese.

The Dragon Sabre Part Nine: Heart of Kimone
Sirens Call, Paragon City
Wednesday, 24th January 18:04
What was left of a city-turned-war zone seemed like the perfect place to meet an old friend turn enemy. Sabrina had been the one to call him first, and he was eager to meet her, if she came alone. Sabrina was a small girl, about five-foot eight, very slender. The winter night was cold as ever, hailstorms, rain and even snow on occasion so she had decided to dress appropriately. As she walked down the war-torn streets, her footprints etched deep into the snow, leaving a trail too easy to notice. She bit her lips in an attempt to warm them, wrapping and rewrapping her fur coat. Underneath which she had on her skin-tight metallic battle armour, just to be safe. Hovering along behind her where the two enchanted swords of Kimone, invisible under their own magical power. Should she need them, they would obey her touch.
You came said a hoarse voice, in the Chinese language.
Dude, what is wrong with you? You dont just jump out of the dark like that; you scared me half to death! Sabrina fumed, responding in Chinese.
How dare you address me so, have you forgotten who I am? Sabrina fell silent at once. It seemed for a split second she had forgotten who she was speaking to. She quickly adopted her morals and knelt.
Master, accept my apology said Sabrina, bowing her head completely low as the man stepped casually out of the shadow. His head was a hollow skull and his body was nothing but a silhouette drenched in a mysterious black mist. A long, tense silence ensued.
Stand up he commanded and Sabrina obeyed. Where are my swords?
Theyre with me, master said Sabrina and Wu Longs head involuntarily jerked aside. They are safe with me.
This isnt how it was meant to happen. You have not earned the rights to the Dragon Sabre. You were supposed to fight me and prove yourself worthy of its power. That is the tradition.
But master
Silence! I have trained you the best I can and before my own eyes I have seen you do the impossible, but still you do not deserve that sword. You do not deserve it at all. You are a shame to your mother and your mothers mother. By your behaviours you have turned out to be more like your grandfather than anything.
Sabrinas face turned bright red. She made the effort to contain her rising anger.
You have always had an uncontrollable temper. You should learn to channel it better. What worries me most of all, however is your selfishness. Li Mu Kimone stole the Soaring Dragon out of the exact same sense of selfishness, dont you think? And you have done the same, Im sure of it. There was a boy scout called Corle or something, who confiscated it from me. How has it come to be in your hands?
He gave it to me
Is that so?
Yes, but master
Give them to me
Sabrinas heart skipped a beat. Im sorry, what?
You heard me
But why? I am the last remaining San; the swords belong to no other person. None, other than my destined life mate
I sent you and Xing-Li to Kimones hideout. Your mission was to eliminate the zombies and you didnt. You didnt.
Sabrina chuckled silently.
Why are you laughing?
I caught onto you. I caught onto your little test. Xing-Li told me after a little persuasion. You are the Necromancer. You re-animated the corpses of Li Mu Kimone and his Devils so I decided the destruction of Xinyiang is not actually my problem at all. Its was all your doing. So I did what my heart told me to and I came back to America, to continue living my life. If thats selfishness then I plead guilty, but dont you try and blame Xinyiang on me. No way.
You never seize to disappoint me. Youre far stupider than I thought and what a shame it is that the legend of the San Clan dies with a fool like yourself. Give me my swords.
Oh now the swords are yours? What because you did a little alikazaming here and there, you think theyre yours?
Speak to me like that again and youll loose your pretty little head, I swear to god. Sabrina fell silent. Do as you are told and hand over my swords
Sabrina stayed silent and immobile, her breathing deepened and her heart raced, in her minds eye she was predicting the fight she was about to engage. Suddenly, she struck.
[Blackout. To be continued] -
Awesome base design there Beet. Trying to decide on a location for the talkshow, either a supergroup base on Test server, Live server or the Tiki Lounge.
- Pro's of the Test server base: Villains and Heroes from all servers can join in and the overall studio design is up to us.
- Con's of the Test server base: It's a little secluded from the main game but its only a few clicks of a button away if you have access already sorted.
- Pro's of the CoH/Union server base: Overall studio design is up to us and easy access to Coalitions and Leader's team-mates.
- Con's of the CoH/Union server base: Risk of being auto-kicked from base (studio) and the necesity of Coalitions.
- Pro's of the Tiki Lounge: Quite a nice setting and location (within Pocket D). Easy access by Gold Membership Card.
- Con's of the Tiki Lounge: Access is limited to those with Gold Membership Cards and there are those ever-so-interuptive Non-RP'ers coming in and out.
So come on, lets vote and decide something. The sooner this idea is up and running, the better for many reasons. I for one think the CoH/Union server SG base sounds workable. -
Oh, I like it. Its like one of those art pieces you study in school.
-
Sounds good Beet. Though I'm still hoping that by some stroke of luck we can find an in-door enclosure like the Atlas Town Hall offices, Longbow Offices, Enhancement Stores that would look suitable. Possibly one in Galaxy City or another low-level area, and have few Non-RPers visiting it.
-
I think thats actually a good idea. The only downside being the seclusiveness.
-
Would be nice to open it to Villain and Hero spectators so Tiki Lounge? Though that has its own downsides.

the idea of playing it in-game and the logs being posted here sounds like a riot

'Friday night with Maximillian' good? Somewhere in a Pocket D corner, one of those rooms looks studio-like. -
I kinda intended this to be a forum-roleplay project, but if in-game sounds more interesting then thats good. But I'm hardly ever in-game these days... mostly Thursdays or Fridays with my SG's
-
Cool. Okay, how about if Maximillian hosts a show like Jerry Springer's and Plasmarch can do a Donny Hunt show? The main diference being the latter interviews special guests as opposed to mediating an argument.
