I'm normally rubbish at forum roleplay as I never post fast enough to keep up with everyone. But this could be a great concept. Just as long as we don't descend into Jerry Springer territory (or maybe we would want that!)

I love the idea. Would be funny if a few could be in a Jerry Springer type format in Sirens Call or something.
I think this could a very cool and funny project. First we need someone to create a memorable host character to direct the show's individual themes, start topics, etc. That person could then invite a few people via pms to act as guests, and the random posting could be like audience reactions, questions, etc. Once the host figures a given topic has had its day, the host would then round up the thread with their last thought, and start a new one with different guests, topic, etc.
Big question is, who should create and be the host?

sounds good, although, i doubt any of my characters would be a talk show type. well, apart from Shadow, but he's evil hell god whose got an ego equal to the universe so that's excusable.

Dude, you so totally read my mind.
This sounds like a great idea, and I have spare slots on both servers if no-one else suitable is found to be the host.
*starts "random" assasinations of rival host-a-likes*
*imagines the possible 'live' shows held in F-F-A Arena matches (for those rowdy members of the audience, and allowing both heroes and villains to participate via Pocket D)*
An instanced area like an Arena would also help to prevent random people passing by going "OMG n00b, you lookz like Jerri Spr1ng3r!11!!"

Oh wow, great response so far. I'm thinking we could have a "The Jerry Springer Show" thread (and vote who plays Springer)
The in-game version sounds really fun, but roleplaying a chatshow inside the Arena might be wierd, I think the mechanism would kick us out when not fighting?
Maybe some people who are interested (and feel they can do it!) should post here a write up with a name for the show, host's bio, etc. Then have the forum community vote for their favorite contender.(Unless someone wants to just go out knock up a character and just kick things off instead).
As for myself i do have a support character who is a "Super Heroine Fetish Softcore Pornographer/Strip Club Owner/Info-Merchant", not quite host material but would probably make a great guest!

I'll be hosting with my main, Maximillian. I'll clothe him in the proper attire though, instead of his trenchcoat and hat.
I've also had a thought, if we've only got three people doing interviews, could we do a 'round robin', so that we do a 'show' or an interview each, cycling through the three hosts?
Sounds like an interesting project! I wouldn't be against offering Miss Ellie up as guest material!

hosting? no, i meant Shadow being a guest, but him being evil, i wouldn't suggest it. I dont think i could make any of my characters hosts anyway. they dont have that special something
but I dont mind Acenra being a guest, though. should be interesting to see an emotionless man being talked at by a preppy and energetic host.
In the interests of sheer hilarity, I'd like to offer up Samantha Huntington as a guest for a show entitled: "I'm in love with a rock."
I would offer Richard, too for something, but honesty compels me to admit that it might be a bad idea (for a lot of IC reasons to do with ongoing plottage)

I kinda intended this to be a forum-roleplay project, but if in-game sounds more interesting then thats good. But I'm hardly ever in-game these days... mostly Thursdays or Fridays with my SG's

Our roleplaying community is really creative with stories and character interaction. I always enjoy reading the recaps! I do it everynight before bed.
A lot of our characters have very interesting dilemmas, conflicts and general relationship troubles and maybe a talkshow like Riki Lake or Sally would be a good Open Roleplay thread? Its still an idea and we can have more than one (like the Springer Show or Jerimy Kyle). What d'you think?
