  1. Indeed.

But while it's up and about, I wish the Devs would give us an outdoor Tsoo mission map based on the Laotian Plain of Jars

    *edit*

Also, if you've ever stared drunkenly at a Wells Fargo ATM wondering what "Hmoob" was, that's the language of the Hmong.

Since I've never seen it on any other bank's ATM, I assume most Hmong in the US bank at Wells Fargo.
  2. Despite being taken at level 8 or so (right after launch) it remains one of my favorite screenshots to date.

Right up there with this one
  3. What? I had a Big Gulp before I started the mission.

    It's gotta go somewhere man!!!
  4. Well, here's my Character

    And here's Me

    I'll let you guys judge.
  5. I used to have a Inv/SS tanker-Brit named John Bull, but I deleted him a long time ago.
  6. And in other news today, the EAS has decided to scale down the carnival-like E3 trade show after a tragic accident last year at NCSoft's Velcro Stunt Wall.
  7. AFAIK there's never been an "Industry Standard" size, 11X17 is the most common, but some have worked larger and some have worked smaller.

Part of the reason GA comics looks so "Small" comes from a few other sources as well.

One being the rate that these books were produced. There was a huge volume of these books being produced, and most of them on a tight deadline. Couple that with the fact that most artists were freelance and also working on multiple other projects (newspaper ads, etc) you couldn't spend a lot of time to languish over details.

The other factor is that during the Golden Age, artists were limited to a strict 6 or 8 panel grid and rarely allowed to deviate from it. Even at 11x17, trying to pack that much art in to a panel that small is daunting to say the least.

    Thank Jeebus for Will Eisner.

You know - you could submit that kind of thing to the submissions box. You never know what might show up in the community pages of the comic or on the website.

    [/ QUOTE ]

o.O We have a suggestions box? Man I'd love to put a suggestion in it that someone show me where it is.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Submission Box, not Suggestion Box.

Although we do have a suggestion box, it's called "feedback" on the petition menu in-game, or the Player Ideas & Suggestions forum.

Xenophon's explanation is wonderful, but I see a more simple application. It's a term of endearment among [censored]. It's supposed to be funny.

"You look amazing. I hate you"

    "Your boyfriend's a hottie. I hate you"

"You're going to Amsterdam? I...totally hate you"

Personally, I appreciate people who can be kind, funny, disarming and a little facetiously cruel all in one phrase. 'I hate you' has a lot of mileage in the right hands.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    I hate you.

I'm pretty familiar with the concept of roleplaying, but I have another aspect of RPing in City of _____ that I'd like to have cleared up...how does it work in PvP zones, if at all?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, on Virtue there's actually getting to be a decent PvP RP community. It's not OVERLY common because RPing in PvP zones often leads to Typing Deaths, but it's there.

Some of the things that helped are RPers who have helped organize RP nights in the zones (especially in Siren's Call, Intertial and Morcalivan do a good job of keeping the RP going there) and we have a Cross-Faction Fight Night in the Arena every Sunday (which provides for a bit more stable interaction between PvPers)
  13. Indeed, this is a fine bit of necroposting.

Actually, the color kind of reminds me of anodized aluminum. In that "maybe-it's-green-but-if-you-look-at-it-in-this-light-it's-gold-no-it's -brown" type of way.
  20. I suppose I'll probably get in trouble for "outting" them, but they shouldn't make so much fun of me.
