    If you build for zone PvP Kin/Psi works very nicely (as does Kinetics in general as a Defender set) although has some serious issues against defence based sets, for the arena I'd probably go with Elec (or simply make a /kin controller).

    Yeah real disadvantage not having aim,kin/sonic is nice too but roots alot more than psy does.

    I personally think corruptors are better for arena but I'm biased

    If you have HOs and you exempt they still buff two things . . . dont they?

    I like the format though and although the fights will be quite time consuming everyone will be fighting all the time so it shouldnt be too bad.

  12. Ice Tankers get some nice mitigation in the form of Chilling Embrace as it helps against all damage types
  13. On my defender when I was leveling up I didnt take RA I enjoyed healing and my buffs (fort + AB) covered harder situations but I can imagine Regen Aura being very very useful on a controller as you can RA then concentrate on controlling stuff without stopping to heal
  14. Base is 6 seconds so 12 seconds is about right slotted but its not really worth slotting duration because you can reduce taunting by getting out of line of sight. The best way to use taunt is when you see someone clicking aim and/or build up is a really good way of protecting your squishies The 3 second recharge also means spamming is much easier and I think a scrapper brings very little to team pvp without taunt.
  15. Typically a scrappers role is too take down dangerous members of mobs - sappers, bosses etc. and most sets would do that. If you want more of a mob destroyer toon Spines/Dark is best but has poor endurance so maybe Spines/Regen will be more you style Claws is also a nice AoE set but lack the punch of spines.

    Ice/*, Invul/*, or Fire/* paired with Super Strength (Strong single target with a good AoE and perma damage buff) or Fire Melee (excellent AoE set).

    No. At least in this tournament mixed teams aren't allowed.

    So a controller and a defender, yes. But again you would have to abandon another set.

    Either way you would have to choose what fits best into your team.
