Agreed that the Council could be upgraded some. Even the 5th Column. The Council could have a few more Nictus tricks and get the "Rommy treatment" like in the ITF or from the red side arc where you have Nictus temporarily infused in you (can't think of it atm).

Eh, /unsigned just because I see no reason to add it. They already give us patrol XP, smoothed the XP curve, reduced debt (to a joke), ways to adjust our diff to get more XP if we want as solo, and even double XP weekends. What more do you want?
Also, vet rewards =/= time played. You can say you have done it 100 different times, but you can't say that for the population as a whole. For me as example, I haven't even gotten to 25 times through to 50 and I am about to get my 75 mon badge. What are you going to say when you have gone through 150 times since you are going 10% faster - 15% XP bonus? Then at 200 - 20%? -
Quote:GP! Heck, I could run all three for an evening just for the merits. They are usually pretty short, even defeating all mobs.Yeah, unless you are running at a quiet time of the day, you should be able to scare up people to join you. If I'm on and have time, I might join in, as I have yet to try any of the redside respec trials.
OP (and GP), my handle and global are the same if you are looking to run this. Been usually on 830P EST to about 1030/11 a number of the nights.

Quote:You mean this, right? As for the random rolls, there are lists of what's in each roll table over on paragonwiki.

They are ran every so often from what I see. Which one are you thinking about - 1st, 2nd, or 3rd?
What times do you play? They can be set up pretty fast using globals - Victory Forum, Victory Badges, Victory Badges 2009. -
Ask the mods to move this to the suggestion forum. I don't see the question for players.

I have been checking the prices for both recipes and crafted on some key IOs. For now, sticking with A merits since I have done not too bad yet. But will probably stop when the returns break even.
My new brute is about to ding 30 and has 4 A merits (since I have been doing only tip missions since lvl20). I looked at lvl30 prices and they are pretty nice. -
Quote:I already thought about it.If all I'm asking for is the possibility of opening up certain epic parts of the game to singular players, then why are some of you so dead set against that change?
Anyhow, for me personally, I want to see content done right. The devs have to make this game balanced. If they are designing a new TF with a min of 8 players to start, it is balanced around having 8 players.
A dom appears to have solo'd the LRSF (master even). A scrapper has posted soloing MITF. And so forth.
If soloing content is that easy, then the devs are left with the option to make it more hard because they are designing for a team event that is being soloed. This in turn impacts the less optimized teams, and thus harder to normally do for players not at optimized/maximized levels. I have been on failed ITFs, LRSFs, STFs, even respec trials. It is not fun failing, especially when someone is saying "well golly, I solo'd this on my purpled out WS." I like non-optimized teams too that don't require any AT or powerset. Last Sunday I was on an STF with no tank (and not an all AT team either), finished in under 2 hrs and we either had 2 or 3 deaths total. I have been on all blaster TFs and finished. If the devs have to make these harder because people with elite toons can solo them, then they stop being fun. -

Quote:I echo the above posters in opinion. But minor point here that in "comics", the writer/artist can make whatever they want. Their "hero" can break the earth into two or extinguish the sun, just because it fits their story. And once you have read the story, you don't go back a 100 times to read it (well, maybe a few times). But they have the problem of topping their last story. My point is there are many more SOLO activities in comics where a hero/villain becomes more powerful. It's the norm.
But a computer game isn't as flexible because it needs to keep players interested with new content that has to be programmed, and more importantly be balanced so all ATs and powersets can attempt it. The comics don't need months and months of resources and time to get a new issue out. And for balance, the writer/artist can do whatever with a stroke of a pen, as the saying goes - yeah, he blew up the earth, but a meteor hit and knocked him out. -
Quote:Maybe I'm thinking about it wrong, but if we get these as inherent powers at lvl 2 don't we kind of get 4 more slots.
As I read it, like the "extra" slots you get with Prestige Sprints. The Fitness pool would allow us to add slots on top of those. IMO, the change is that we will get both sprint and hurdle. Yes, a number of you all probably take both, but for me, I take one or the other.
It might be an adjustment I guess using sprint and hurdle. Then again, I may not need to toggle NR every so often to get over a high step or something. -
Quote:Based on this thread (link), I am wondering if the devs are killing two birds with one stone: improving QoL in general & for rog/vig toons; and changing Oro with the incarnate stuff. Based on the screen shots, Oro doesn't look so good any more.Been doing a number of TF's with my villains (all my villains have gone rogue). Having to go from Chantry to Atlas? KR to Bricks? Atlas to Crey? Bit annoying. Of course, while no base access is annoying and this train/ferry change will be a big help, let's face it. No o-zone access is the big time killer.
-
Interesting thoughts. I was thinking along the same lines after seeing the screen shots that Oro maybe altered some in the upcoming issues.
The one problem is keeping the way open for letting players do past arcs they may have missed for badges or the story. -
Well first, I had an interesting time last night for sure on my 1st time doing the CoP. Was smooth.
(Going to whine again and wish I had my emp blue side again. Guess I will bringing her back this weekend.)
Voodoogirl has a guide (link) in the above sections.
Anyhow, from what I saw, the important part I saw was the team leader calling when to attack the cubes vs. the AV. The barrier is down for so short a time teams had to move fast to attack the AV in that period. When the barrier was up, back to the cubes. Our leader (MP) also pointed out when other teams needed help to clear their mobs to speed things up. If your teams moved slow, then the AV would recover HP. -
But I read them as "Patron" powers, not "Ancillary". There is story content added to get these power unlocked, as well as a badge and a respec.
But who knows, maybe one day they will allow hero Patrons to unlock powers. But for now, we can get Ancillary for free at 41, but need to unlock the Patron on red side. -
^ Suggestion Forum thataway ^
You mentioned Augustine TF twice.
meow meow
PS - Many of these have been suggested and discussed as to why/why not in the game yet.
PPS - You forgot Black Hole IOs and Rikti Os!!!
PPPS - Wow, that was fast. Thx Mod8 or Mod12 -

Hey now, I was trying to get a push on damage with GW with my "GW".
I saw her held and thought we could try bring her down faster. What I didn't expect was that my pets would do nothing and just stand around. I had no idea what happened. But they were doing nothing at all. I was trying to dismiss them without dismissing all my pets. But got rid of them all instead. Besides, even without my extra pets, she healed right up.
Anyhow, it was very close when you crashed. I thought we were about done with here and you DC'd and she healed right up.
Maybe I should bring my DS/dark MM over to blue side instead. -
134 mill only for mine.
After that though last night, an all MM STF would work. Just need more MM's to show up. -
Bah! Sorry, Voo we lost power, although those storms moved out. Weird with the sunny skies out and no power. Anyhow, we are picking up and sorry I missed the evening. Hope it went well.
