Unfortunately, one of the issues with this, at least in my experience, is not everyone out there wants to be a part of a 'community'. I used to be a tireless advocate of global channels. Every time I had the opportunity, I'd point out to other players, both new and veteran, how useful they were and how much they enhanced the play experience. You know what? I'd say no more than one out of ten ever bothered to actually join one of the channels. Nowadays, I don't usually bother anymore...

Solutions to finding teams:
*Use the team search tool. Set your flag to 'looking for any'.
*Use your server's global channels. You can generally find them listed in your specific server section here on the forum.
*Find and join an active SG/VG. You can also find several of these listed in the server sections here on the forum.
*When you team with other players that you enjoy playing with, add them to global friends.
*Form your own teams. -

This makes me wonder about those MM's then. The first (and only so far) time I've ran the LRSF was on a bots/traps mastermind. I recall losing a fair number of pets and having to resummon, but it wasn't anything remotely like your description, and I was the only MM on the team. We were also successful without using temp powers or any kind of special team composition, although we did have a teamwipe or two.

Well, I've found a new person to add to my ignore list...

I'm too laid back to kick people most of the time, unless they are obviously and repeatedly trying to take advantage of the rest of the team. If the team is steamrolling everything in its path, I couldn't care less if someone wants to go AFK for 5 minutes, or stand there doing nothing while they get a phone call. However when it becomes a recurring pattern of AFK's, then it crosses the line and my kick finger starts getting itchy.
The only exception to my normally laid back attitude is any type of self-described "healer", who stands back spamming an aura heal on auto and not attacking. One warning for them, then booted with extreme prejudice. -

Snow? What's that? It's a chilly 57F right now here on the beach in Florida...

Quote:Positron (and I assume all other TF's too) will scale to the number of team members actually on the team. The minimum starting requirement only matters to start the TF. Once you're in TF mode it makes no difference. For example, start Posi with 2 players and a filler. Filler quits, other 2 players remain on the TF. Mobs will spawn for 2 players, not 3. I've run dozens of solo Positrons, and this is the way it works. As I understand the spawning system, mission's spawn should adjust down to the minimum level required to start the Task Force.
So, if you start a Positron with 6 players, you'll have spawns for 6. If 4 of those players leave and you only have 2 players left, the spawns should adjust to the base 3-player spawn needed to start the task force. -
Depending on my work schedule, I'm often on late. Probably won't be around that late though this week.

If anybody needs an SG invite redside, feel free to hit me up. My global is the same as my forum name...

This is, by far, the single WORST idea I've seen posted on this forum in almost two years of playing. I have spent more hours playing & developing two of my characters after they hit 50 than all my other characters combined.
If you're bored of your 50's and can't figure out what to do with them, that's your own problem. Leave mine, and everyone else's, alone. -

Quote:Sorry, but this is not true. Endoplasm HO's do increase the mag of cage powers, such as FF's Detention Field. The duration remains fixed at 30 seconds.Mez magnitude cannot be buffed. Not with Enhancements, not with Domination (which actually applies an additional round of mez on top of the first one), not with anything.
The only aspect of a mez power that can be buffed, debuffed or resisted is the duration.
What LostHalo is probably experiencing is the effects of the powers wearing off (due to mez resistance) without the HamiOs before they could be stacked enough to affect the AVs. I can see how this could be interprated as an increase in the powers' magnitudes. -
Quote:Fire/rad corruptors or controllers? I've already got a 50 fire/rad controller on Protector, but I've been meaning to try the corruptor version for a while now.If we go with a fire/rad team, lv 33 would be my suggested level to lock at.
Looking at the OP again, it looks more like he was suggesting a SG where we place toons that we can combine into the core of a bigger PUG to run stuff with. In that case I would suggest we make a fire/rad team, and run them up to 33, just to have them for when we can get enough together, and to generate the prestige for the base. -
I have not a single toon on Freedom, but I'll gladly roll up a couple for this, one for each side... I'll be locking them in at either 33 or 38.

Yep. Most missions are simply stealth to boss, defeat boss & click glowie to complete. There are 5 defeat all missions, 4 of which are right at the end. There is also the Rollister mission which requires you to defeat Rollister and escort two hostages out. For the most part you'll spend more time running from one mission to the next than actually in the missions themselves.

Click on the Totals tab in the lower left window and it will show you your total typed & positional defense numbers. 45% is the softcap.
