No, you haven't. Which is why those melee attacks are simply filling space where more useful powers could be.

To make those melee attacks worth while, they would have to be made the highest damaging attacks in the game. Which would mean the only worthwhile blaster would be one that focused on melee attacks.

As it is, possessing them gives Blasters no advantage relative to corruptors, since a corruptor can do similar damage, whilst still having a much bigger range of power picks available to them. Having more damage powers to choose from does not enable you to do more damage.

Obviously, removing them is not a realistic option, but that could be got round by adding more useful powers in parallel, increasing the total number of powers in blaster secondaries to 10 or 11. And there are already control powers which could be significantly buffed.

    Angelina Jolie. Sigorny Weaver.

Not that either of them should be WW, but it's not completely unknown.

The problem is due to the Hollywood obsession with matchstick women, not a shortage of women prepared to do what it takes. Will the film-makers accept a buff woman in a leading role?

    Melee AT for me?

You might try choosing your powersets before your AT. Some work better on certain ATs than others.

You really don't need those extra attacks when there are more than enough attack powers to put together a good chain in the primary. In particular, melee attacks are pointless unless you make them more damaging than ranged attacks and scrapper attacks. Return of the City Of Blappers anyone?

Replacing those melee attacks with defensive powers and improved CC seems like the only solution to me. Cottage Rule be dammed.

    Melee AT for me?

Pretty much any tank could pull Siege and the Emissary of Mott at the same time.

It's just a matter of having the patence to cope with the low damage.

As for Titan Weapons, it may be uber, but it's high end cost and long animations make it a ***** to level. Needs to be taken into consideration when deciding what to pair it with. Oh, and nothing makes you look stupid more than spending 3 seconds swinging at a dead mob.

Seems more advantageous to be one of the road-brigands or cannibal mutant zombies...
  9. Revamp blaster secondaries to include some defence set powers instead of melee attacks...

It seems to me that the suggested changes to snipes and nukes are nice, but do nothing to address the fundamental problem: Corruptors have better secondaries.

  11. He is a Meh writer. Competent but not worth getting excited about.

At this stage though, if DC can't attract some real talent, either writing, producing, or directing, I can't see them rejoining the majors.
  12. I don't see any reason why a JL movie HAS to have solo tie in movies.

I do see issue when there are different versions of major characters (i.e. Superman and Batman) in unrelated movies at around the same time.

Might be better to go without Batman and Superman though, like the old TV movie did.

    Completely irrelevant to the law.

So yes, Tony had a bad moment as it were by being drunk in the armor, but he was dying and he knew it and wanted his last birthday to be a blast. He was competent in the armor prior to that and after that.

I don't see the govt. having much justification to seize the armor, and hopefully Vanko's drone army showed just how dangerous such technology can be when it truly IS in the wrong hands.
Pretty much the opposite. If I was that drunk ONCE in a CAR I would be disqualified from driving. The suit is far more dangerous than a car. Vanko has proved that the suit tech can be reproduced by foreign powers, and therefore need to be in the "right hands" which would be the US army, at least in their opinion (and probably that of a court of law).

    Quote:
But the War Machine armor in the movies is still an Iron Man armor created by Tony Stark and only modified by Hammer. If Tony truly wants to I'm quite sure he can shut down the armor, either by a negator pack frying the circuits or else since the armor runs on software that Tony designed, he could likely remote in and use special access codes to make the armor disengage from the wearer and shut down.
I'm sure he could, but that wouldn't do his friendship with Rhodes much good, or stop him being arrested for being drunk in charge of an aircraft*.

*a more plausible legal description for the suit than "prosthesis".

That's not the original Mk2 armour on display.
  14. I liked the writing, the banter had a genuinely comic book feel to it.

Not that strong a case, since Rhodes was an invited guest, who had clearly been granted access. He was mealy acting to protect the public by removing dangerous equipment from the possession of someone who was drunk and disorderly.

It would be a lengthy court battle to settle anything one way or another, and in the meantime the suit would remain in the possession of the army or the courts. As far as the law is concerned, preventing New York being destroyed by a nuke has no bearing on the case whatsoever.

Now it's clear that SHIELD (which has far more power than it constitutionally should) could intervene, but it would be more in character for Nick Fury to broker a compromise solution.

Oh, and hyperlinks do not qualify as an effective form of non-linear data presentation. Like PowerPoint, HTML isn't really used in the way it was designed. But that can be said about many things. It is normal for humans to try and use things in ways they weren't designed, like using an ox thigh-bone to hit people over the head.

No i won't call it "Bio Armor". Sym Armor sounds better (to ME).
It may sound better, but that doesn't stop it being factually wrong, which is why that isn't the name of the set.

I'm reasonably confident that Bio Armor and Nature Affinity, (and proliferation) will be part of the next full issue.

"Absorb" won't be given to players without making a big (issue sized) song-and-dance.

AIM will probably be the corporation that develops Extremis. Which is then "obtained" by The Ten Rings. Probably will be revealed as a front for Hydra in CA2.

I know I've been banging on about this before, but have you noticed the colour change in the Iron Patriot suit? The comic version is predominantly red, like the Iron Man suit, but the version in the movie shots is predominantly blue, making it closer to Captain America's uniform.

Illegal search and seizure?
I'm sure there will be an ongoing legal dispute, but possession is 9/10ths of the law.

    Quote:
Granted there is a hint in IM2 that Tony had allowed Rhodey to get into the workshop and access the armor vault. Nick Fury seemed rather astonished that Rhodey basically walked through Tony's defenses and security and took a suit of armor. Tony didn't comment much on that. Was Tony allowing Rhodey to have a suit due to the fact that he was slowly dying and somehow wanted the Iron Man legacy to continue even if it must be as a military weapon?
I'm pretty sure this was the case, and Tony had already set up access for Rhodes. It may be that ONLY Rhodes can use the suit though. Tony doesn't trust the government, but he does trust his friend.

    Quote:
If nothing else, I would think Tony would want it back to see the full details of what Hammer did to the armor when he weaponized it. Perhaps he will build a superior version of that armor for Rhodey?
Some sort of compromise settlement would seem to be in order, but I doubt that will have happened by the start of IM3.

As to the workshop, I'm sure that is Tony's workshop albeit either an unfinished set or a new set.
    Maybe. Maybe not.

The Predator alien thing was the supposed alien that started human life on Earth so that they could have a good breeding ground for the chest popping aliens and I think the reason that they want to come back and destroy us might have a tie-in to Predator's 1 and 2 in that we kick their butts, yeah alot of people died but we still kicked their butts.
For one, Prometheus pretty much retcons Predators out of existence.

For two, the chest popping alien bioweapons in Prometheus are (pointlessly) different chest popping alien bioweapons to Alien.

He might keep that around for Rhodey if need arose...
Given that Rhodes is a serving military officer, I doubt he would be allowed to return the suit even if he wanted too. Government property now.

Doesn't look anything like his workshop from the previous movies, and why would they use CGI when a set is already built?

    Unless it's a different location.

And even if he moved his workshop to Stark Tower, I would expect anything designed by Tony Stark to be less drab and utilitarian.
