A challenge to the developers to implement a dozen changes for things the developers have indicated are either unlikely or have already been indicated to be in process! A declaration that these changes would ensure the games longevity! Request for developer response! NOW!

Well, I suppose the lack of info can be viewed as good news in the sense that...there is SO much coming down the line. We know i17 is out there, we know GR is out there, we know there is another (presumably mutant) pack somewhere out there...add to that there's bound to be a dbl xp, a spring/valentines event...

sooner or later the dam is gonna burst and these boards will be giddy rather than cranky!

Nada here in Portland, Oregon. I'm actually pretty bummed about it. Last year, as my Seattle neighbors have pointed out, the PNW got blasted...and I loved every durn second.

Course I can see it on Mt. Hood from my window...

Just another thanks to the whole CoH/V team for this year's event. As the event always coincides with my school/work break...it has become as much a holiday tradition for me these last five years as anything else. It's a great treat and it's much appreciated.

Ugh. Thanks for pointing me in the logical direction...I knew I missed it somewhere...

So I'm chomping at the proverbial bit to see the Winter Event go live. In the past, hasn't it usually been around the 14th or so of December? I have poked around for some recent info about when it will it the servers, but have proven to myself yet again my search skills are not ninja-level.

Anyone have any idea when we might be hitting the slopes again?

When I first joined the forums, in June of 2004, I was PDXTeach. Then I created my favorite character after CoV was released...Portland Underground. He was named for the famed, supposedly-haunted tunnels which lie beneath the city I live in and love. So, I reregisted under that name...lost my original forum birthday...but I like the handle much more.

I was already leaning towards Dual 1.8GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 - SLI Enabled when I get my new system...glad to see it would handle the load. Thanks Posi!

In early spring, I'll fall into the 'buying Dell' camp...but for a reason. I"m getting a birthday/xmas gift certificate to Dell...which means I'm going to go Alienware. Looking at current system configurations I think I'd be good to go were I to buy now. But as I"m buying in March (when I actually get the gift) I figure the possibilities will be slightly better.

Just wondering, any thoughts on Alienware from people who've run CoX on the machines?

I have been looking forward to this. There are a LOT of places in Paragon and the RI that I would enjoy strolling by. It seems to me that this subtle addition can add a great deal in terms of enjoyment via immersion into the lush atmosphere of the game.

Been playing casual since June, 2004...took off a couple of months the whole time and nearly have 63 month vet badge.

That said...I AM A HARDCORE ADDICT of the game. I average only ten hours a week of game play...but maybe twice that scanning the forums, thinking about game play, and wishing I could afford a new computer.
