That's the easiest way. There is also a tunnel system that leads under the that's filled with arachnos soldiers. If you get really bored and want to go the long way, check that tunnel out.

My first Incarnate level is going to go to my namesake, Obsidian Farmer Illusion/Kin controller. My second toon to go for it will be either my WP/SS tank or my Fire/Dark Corruptor.

Looks like they were giving you my played hours...

There was a post way back before the forum migration about a guy who got it to run on his iPhone, it averaged about 5fps or so. He was able to go to the market and open it up, don't think he could interact with it beyond that though.

Quote:It isn't always an issue, no, but the ranged advantage, even without the addition of something like hover, is something to be considered for balancing the defense set numbers, that's the only reason I mentioned it. I was merely using Hover as an example of a way to take advantage of that even more.Honestly, why does that matter?
At some point you have to prioritize player fun over fear of somebody possibly deciding to do something with too little effort, especially if:
1. It wouldn't be a farm issue because the described method is not fast and there are no major rewards for soloing EB/AV.
2. People can already do it with less effort by having IOs or even powerset combos.
Every mob can attack you, they just can't melee you, so it would not be that much of an advantage if the AT had appropriate stats.
See also travel supression as an example of putting a fear of a person doing something easily (but not with any efficiency to speak of) over fun.
As BrokenPrey said, they would fill a similar role as scrappers. The only real reason to add an AT like this is that people, especially people who play this game, like to diversify their choices as often as possible. it would just be another choice when creating a new character. It's more of a fluff addition for the fans than one for mechanic reasons. -

Quote:that would be too low, I think. I was thinking ~corruptor damage with ~scrapper armor numbers, so they're not the top dogs in either, but still a viable option. There is still that whole ranged advantage though, adding Hover to an AT like that makes them an almost un-killable(read: Hovercrab) machine who can solo most EB/AVs with little to no effort. But at the same time, I don't have a single toon that can't solo the majority of EB/AVs out there, even my blasters can do it when they need to with a little help from lucks.Personally, I'd play a ranged/armor AT with defender mods for damage/HP and blaster mods for def/res - that is to say, low on everything.
I can agree such an AT would be considered ridiculously weak by many... To be honest, if I could play a FF defender without having to deal with the gigantic, concept breaking GFX of Dispersion Bubble, I'd just do that. -
Quote:yes, but in the villain side one you...No, you ran the last mission of the Jenny Aldair arc, which is hero side. This is about the last mission of the Leonardo arc, which is villain side.

find one of your clones and have the option to save him or leave him, and then even more moral choices when you do save him, like allow him to leave and live his life, or tell him he owes you and is now your slave, etc. That's the entire reason I feel like this is a preview of the morale missions we'll be facing once GR comes out.

for some reason this post reminds me of the end of the book in this SBEmail

That just means they need to put more man hours into researching and developing a way to make it work. That's what interns are for!

Strangely enough, when the spiders were being talked about, the idea came up to proliferate the EATs to give a hard suit/stealth suit PPD AT to go with bane and crabs, and the Nictus AT as a counterpart to the HEATs. So instead of each side getting both new ATs, each side gets one of them.
-
I'm pretty sure it is, but you miss out on the best part of the mission if you just leave like that. take the vators down and there's a nice surprise waiting for you on the way out.

They actually just mentioned something about it at the panel Q&A at PAX. I'm watching them again to point you to the right one, but here's a list of both Q&A videos and the slideshow presentation:

Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6rYBtR4tC4

Follow-up Q&A:

Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KwNxqP0qKxA
In the first Q&A video at the 7 minute mark is where they address Base raiding, IoP and CoP, though there is no time frame for it. -
if You open an email, next to the TO and Subject boxes there are now two new boxes, one for Infamy/influence and one for an attachment. You can only send emails with attachments to a global name. So if you're sending it to your alts, you would send it to your own global, not to the alts name.

Mine are Crab Farmer, Blood-Harvester and Huntsman McFeeley, who's coming at you with a speedy delivery, OF PAIN!
With them I just incorporated their class in the name somehow. With the wide variety of play styles for the SoAs I thought it was a good idea to give at least some clue to what they were getting by just reading the name alone. Although, Blood-Harvester ended up a Fort in the long run, so he's actually backward.
Arbiter by the way, is not on the reserve list, I'd never even heard that so I had to test it to verify, just made one. -
The idea makes me wonder about the construction site in Steel Canyon that was at one point rumored to be the launchpad for the moon base. That thing's been there for quite a while now with no actual hints to it's purpose. Maybe it will be the gateway to Praetoria. It would make sense to have that in PI for story reasons, but, at the same time it seems like a bad idea from a mechanic standpoint since you would be fairly low when you leave. Steel Canyon, being a teens zone seems like the perfect spot for that portal. Not to mention the size of the framework that is there seems perfect for a single portal building.

For those interested Here's a picture of what he and the sub have to say(the one in Ind. Port). kinda spoilers if you want to look at it that way, so head's up.
the word that's not showin in the bottom screenshot is "Missions", for those wondering. I just didn't want to do two for a single missing word word. -

It is kinda funny to see someone walk into the exit. Every time I see it happen i chuckle a little and point them in the right direction.

I wish I'd heard about this sooner I wouldn't have waited six months to come back from my break! I've been saying for years some kind of Guide program would be great to have in CoH!
