A slightly battered steel I-beam.
A huge hammer consisting of a tree trunk with a boulder lashed to the end.
A huge hammer consisting of a thick metal bar with a chunk of concrete chained to the end.
Something that looks like a ripped out hunk of machinery spitting sparks from short circuits. -

I agree. We aren't stuck with nothing but variations on fantasy characters or different types of soldiers or guys in different models of powered armor. We can mix and match, we can come up with our own original or just plain weird character concept and look. We can make it fit in the game historical background or say he just wandered in from another universe and it still works.

Of those two I'd definately go with the Elec/Psi Dom, it's a stronger combo. Blaster Psi/ is generally considered substandard, and a Psi/MM also has the problem of all those heavily psi resistant enemies. The Dom can deal with those easier due to having some energy damage and a bigger bag of tricks than the blaster.

It's new, they've put up a bunch of player created billboards. Here's a older thread about it. And another new billboard by Quantum_Knight:

Here's something interesting from Pupster at the Comic Con, a Dominator specific enhancement apparently, named Ascendency of the Dominator.
Apparently all the ATs are getting some AT specific IOs. -
Quote:It's my understanding that the market uses Paragon Points that can be bought with cash, or if you are a VIP (subscriber) you get a stipend of Points each month that you can buy more of on top of the stipend.I don't know as much as the next guy about i21, but I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume real money is going to be used in this new market that's replacing boosters and veteran rewards.
Quite possibly more valuable, since it appears that there'll be more to buy and you won't be stuck buying a whole pack if you only want one thing from it. There will still be "packs" of a sort anyway in the form of bundled collections of parts. -

Ha, way back when Weapons Customization was in Beta there was a bug where you'd end up with two weapons at the same time overlaid on each other. I said at the time that I thought that some like mace + axe actually looked cool that way; now I can get one!

Quote:No, you can talk to him in-game later on.Less NPC, more storyline character who only shows up in cinematics.
Quote:Actually, this is probably Tyriel's one real claim to fame all told. And it just serves to highlight how ****** the old FMVs we fawned over really are in retrospect -
Titan Weapons are coming out after Issue 21, so don't count. Time Manipulation is a new set and has nothing to do with Power Proliferation; as a buff/debuff set it isn't eligible to be proliferated to Doms at all. And Street Justice & Beam weapons aren't part of Power Proliferation, but have to be bought with Paragon Points. So a better comparison is:
Brute - 3 sets (katana, broad, regen)
Scrapper - 3 sets (mace, axe, energy aura)
Tanker - 2 sets (martial, sr)
Corruptor - 2 sets (poison, psionic)
Defender - 2 sets (fire, thermal)
Blaster - 2 sets (dark, dark m)
Stalker - 1 sets (ice)
Controller - 1 sets (poison)
MM - 1 set (sonic)
Dominator - zero point zero. -
Quote:Hmmm. Sound problematic for a kill-first-or-die Blaster, but it could be good for Corrs & Defs. Sounds like Sonic actually, hopefully with less aggravating sound effects.
The individual attacks are fairly weak, but each attack lands a debuff to increase subsequent damage, making the powerset play something like a ranged Brute. -
Quote:Going by vague memory, I think that Psi Melee and Dual Pistols were high up there. Was that poll archived somewhere? I'd be interested to see what else on it was used to make new sets.
I remember Energy Fields being on there, the one I was rooting for the most. Shield Defense was the winner for Armor Set, and has been a player favorite ever since. -
Quote:They said their animation team didn't have the time for anything with new animations; those new sets presumably being a major reason why. Which does suggest that whatever they are planning has new animations. And yes, they did say they have no time to port a set in this round of Proliferation but they announced FOUR NEW SETS for all core ATs except for Dominator. The announcement of Street Fighting and Beam Rifle is a bit shocking to me because I was under the impression that they don't have time to make "new" sets at all. Well, obviously, they do have time. They just don't have time for Dominator in issue 21.

Quote:Maybe they move or shimmer or something, to look like "energy". These are stillshots after all, they may look different animated. Is it just me, or are the "energy wings" auras a little low-res?
Oh, how I want those wings of his... -
First Ward and Destroyed Galaxy look cool.
Love the new "lava Shivan".
I like the hooded guys in black and yellow.
The Seed and the Avatar of Hamidon look cool. -

It's not just you, there's a guy in this thread complaining of problems with Sharkhead on Freedom. Sharkhead does seem to be one of the zones most prone to problems.
