  1. Sorry. Im all about new controller powers, but Im concerned with these for only a few reasons.

    1) Insect control, while cool would be in my head a MM skill. Bugs and poison would be a neato mix.

    2) Water. I think it would be cool, but might function like ice really. Might be to much overlapping to make it a great primary, although as a secondary, water would be excellent, but with concepts like Geiser or torrent, or Waves, I think we are looking at energy with a mix of Livathan Mastry. Which is sort of already in the game really.

    3) Air, I imagine would be like Storm Summoning which already appears to have mostly air based powers. So making air a control power again would have to mimic something, and while things like deprive oxygen, Wind Tunnel, etc would be heavy in the knockback format, which again is already found in Storm summoning.

    4) Time, would be very overlapping with say Gravity. Now some of the key components of gravity could easily be changed to emulate time and space, but in the quoted thread, many of the powers sound very much like gravity already.

    I would add something like

    Wither or Age

    A Toggle which ages an enemy to a withered state which would then slow them and make them less resistant to physical attacks or debilitating effects.

    The Pet should be a Dinosaur! Who does not want a Dinosaur! I want one. Melee pet. Bites things. Has scrapper claws effects and maybe a toxic effect for good measure because Dino's don't have tooth brushes.

    I would forgo the Wormhole, and perhaps replace it with a control effect with "Flash Back" A cone of rippling time energy which results in confusion or disorient because the foe is remembering things from the past and reliving them slightly.

    ~~~~
    Powers I would love to see is
    Entropy control (Controlling Luck/Probability etc)
    Decreacing ememies chances to hit.
    Chances to fall down
    Chances to confuse or hit other enemies
    Chances for powers to back fire
    A Pet Which debuffs various things from range
    Defining powers
    Chaos Bubble = Effects single enemy with random status effect.
    Chaos Field = Targeted Placeable which randomly selects a status effect and applies it to all enemies (Holds, Imobs, Sleeps, Stuns etc, who enter the field. Would be like the larger holds, and would have to be farely slotted. SO's could be used to enhance the effect the user would like to have more prominent.
    ((I have to many ideas for Entropy Control or Secondary))
  2. TA all the way. It's swiss army knife goodness is seriously going to give you controlls, a debuff, a stun, a Oil Slick, Possible fire damage, A -fly component, which will help you build mags along with ice arrow.
    Elec would work wonders with it. It will litterally fill gaps that need filling. And the best part is that (Although micromanagy sometimes) it's cheap and easy, helps teams, and potentially eats AV armor.
    By the nine hells even Flash Arrow can aid Elec. I don't use Flash arrow much but Elec would be a build I would use it in. Elec lacking in some of the departments that other controllers have going for them in early levels, the concept of breaking mobs into more manageable sizes is a great one for me.
    Glue Arrow keeping them in a slow state with a Static field just seems right to me as well.
  3. After leveling my Grav/FF a little more, I would have to say Sigularity is support! Like WOW support. I force field it, teleprt it, run around with it, hug it, love it, and it does so much I can't even begin to explain exactly how my toons life has changed since she got it.
    It eats aggro, keeps my teammates pretty safe, and I am beginning to think that FF is beyond capable of making a team unstoppable. I mean, I always under estimated the value of it, and that was my fault, because it really is a great tool.
    I have always loved playing with other FF's but seriously, Grav/FF is so much control! (Others seem to think it's chaotic, and I don't know why. I have so far skipped many of the annoying powers people hate in gravity and FF and supplimented them with power pool powers.
    Although I just recently played with an Illusion/TA and I have never seen so much Map Domination in my entire gaming experience. It was like watching a human, or in this case Illusion Cat Chick, Steam Rolling everything in her path, while we all just watched in shock and awe.
    I just shutter to think how Earth/TA would play out. Although Ill/TA was just insane control and support.
  4. Demons were cool.
    Demons are loud
    Demons need a shut up emote called "Shut the Hell Up"
    Seriousy, Imagine that paired with sonic res if we ever get it? That would be game breaking. Too Noisy!
    Plus zombies are cuddlier
  5. It does help.
    Actally I think that I have pin pointed my issue.
    I tend to lead towards support toons a lot. I think thats because of my other MMO experiences. But I noticed that I play my controllers like scrapper melee types only without the fear of being hit. But I love the melee.
    But I seem to only like melee when it has a ranged component. Which is why I like my Widow.
    Now I rolled a blaster. Just to see what that was about. My last blaster a million years ago was an Archery/Psi, which I just could not seem to play worth a darn. So I rolled up a Rad/Nrg and so far it seems pretty solid. I have only taken the melee power you need to take from the start, but it's good enough to mitigate me being cornered with it's impressive knockback, and Energy seems to have many boosting powers, which I find helps with the rad. She is sort of fun to play and I think has the components of melee and range I like.
    My first thought was a Dom. I mean it sounds like a support toon, with melee and range. like a Blaster/Controller, but for some reason I just cant seem to be able to pull them off bery well.
    I actually think my issue is a L2Play issue really. L2play the other AT's other than controllers.
    I looked through your guide and I am not deleting anymore. Instead I am sort of staring at the character select screen forever, checking out my cool costumes, and then logging out and watching TV.
    Oh I do jump on my 50 Empath once a week to finance my alts. So I guess I did stick with something after all.
  7. Depends onwhat I am playing, but Im usually the empath or the bubbler, but if I am playing my scrapper or my blaster, I love an 1) Empath, 2 Bubbler, 3) TA or traps, 4) Thermal
    Those all seem good
    Although I was playing with ane X-cellent Sonic Res player who actually took a set I found blah, and she/He became king of the team.
    Now to think of it I was playing a TF with a Poison/Demon MM, whos poison reall did make a difference at the end of the battle.
    My choise would be TA though. Especially on my Grav/FF, we can walk through pretty mich anything, and if he ignites his Oil Slick, I can Worm hole all the baddies right on it! Then hold them in it...Pure win!
    Well I fully slotted it. Seems it always goes off and has a good chance to dissorient now, so a Little...can be a lot, and it does pretty sweet damage later on against most foes, psionic not being resisted as much as some others.
    1. Do not waste fortitude on the tank. He is softcapped to S/L/E/N so the defense doesn't help and the damage would be better served on anyone else.
    2. Do not waste Adrenaline Boost on the tank. My endurance is under control and Dark Regeneration is already recharging in 15 seconds, a few more won't help as much as more Inferno from the blaster will.
    3. When the Recovery and Regen Auras are ready, cast them in the middle of the group. The tank will likely be a mob ahead allowing foes to clump together.
    4. Use your freakin' secondary powers.
    1. Tank rarely if ever gets the fortitude, a brute...perhaps, but there are others that are wiser to use it on.
    2. No offense if that works for you and all but it does not work with him or in some of the teams I have been in. His endurance is not quite so under control and since he is relatively new to the game I dont think he is slotting as well as some or has the money to do it.
    3. Aura's up and in the middle of the group. I call huddle and you get the bonus, and if you run off and don't get it, there is little I can do. There is always a stalker or someone who runs off regardless of if I call huddle. This usually occures in open area maps. Caves and bases etc are manageable.
    4. I use 4 single target attacks. Will Domination, TK blast, My Snipe (Alot) and Scramble Thoughts. My Psychic Scream is there, but I don't use it much as the rest are slotted better and have secondary effects I find more usefull. I got rid of my others because I found them lacking, however my attack chain is effective none the less.
    Thats how I play my Empath, and it always seems to work out.
  10. Like in another game a friend made Turbo Jesus
I don't have any personal experience with it, though, so is there something I'm missing?
    For reason it sort of just seems the way it happens. I work a lot with a DA Tank and he needs it often enough. I should not have just said the tank, there has been many times when I watch the bars and determine who reuires it more. Just many times it is my tank
    My Empathy/Psi defender paired down her attack chain two 4 attacks so I could focus on my real job. Empaths regardless of if you tick them off should heal when defenses are dropping badly. If I don't heal the scrapper and they do happen to die, it's usually because someone was in need more at the time of my attention.
    However I hate empaths who only buff tanks. The Tanks get the Adren boost, the other melee get my fortitude (Not always that way but a usual rule of thumb. Tankier types can get by without fort while fort gives other melee toons more oomph.
    But seriously...no, If you die and I can't save you, then I wont worry about it. If someone plays solo and dies, then really it's not my issue. Sure Ill teleport you to me and res ya, but I aint gonna tell you what you can and cannot do. My job is to keep myself alive so I can keep the team I am following alive. Im not flying all over the map to save you if you fall.
    I am a team player with my much hated Emp toon. If the team splits, then I have to do what keeps me alive and that usually means with the folks who I know can keep me alive.
    This difference presents a (imho) large difference in how I now make decisions in the game in consuming its content. With IOs and Hami-Os, I can play any alt I want and send currency/items to another alt that may need it or can use it if that alt cannot. Also, I can choose to play any game content and I would still be making some progress on my alt and potentially any of my other alts in their end games.
    The Incarnate Process is completely opposite. Each character only gets to consume what they themselves have played. There can be no sharing between alts. This is why people are calling it "alt unfriendly".
    I imagine that simply allowing players to email incarnate salvage to each other would go a long way to loosening things up.
    Agreed, but the only concern the Devs might have is that people scream for end content, and this suggestion although viable in some ways, might counter that goal.
    Is it just me...
    I have always found this community friendly. Personal attacks aside, which happen on any forum, this is deffinately more gental than others I have been on.
  15. You should change your name to Tutorial Girl.....
  16. I looked for you! But there is nothing that can be Ironman or even come close.
    I agree PB's might only ever be the closest...but thats stretching...A lot
  17. It's funny. I miss farms...there I said it! I miss em! I hate em, and I miss em. At least then I could take a toon I enjoy and TF with everyone else who is doing it.
    Then again I left a month after AE opened up because of lack of teaming...funny how that all works out in one violent circle of...circle like violence.
  18. Ok...so you are experiencing a similar issue. It's the exact same issue really.
    My Widow is my fave and well...no one to play with. Even though she can go to both sides.
    Gotta go back to the drawing board and come up with something interesting.
    I might try a DB/Dark Armor scrapper.
  19. Im glad GG was there to help!
    None of my toons are all that friendly. And considdering he was using knockback, I was just waiting for GG to whine about it. ((That should have been added you know ))
  20. Hit 32. Magical 32 where it just ends for me.
    It's like 32 is the bar. And all my toons are drunks and hang out at that bar. I have 1 50 (Don't enjoy her even enough to try the incarnate stuff which I really want to do...badly!)
    One 25 Corr who hit the bar early
    One 36 Widow who is just to young to do some TF's and just sits at said bar
    One 32 Grav/FF Troller, who won't budge
    And a host of lowbies.
    Can't seem to connect with something. It's like all the coolness was getting to 32 and then it's like...mission complete.
    I even thought of rolling a blaster? Why because they seem insane and well suicidal to play, but people around me really seem to enjoy them.
    Tried a Tank, a Brute, Scrapper and a Stalker. Definately not so much my playstyle. No range at all until possibly power pools, but since 32 is my cut off, well...not likely to see em.
    I did not know that. That is excellent to know actually. If I knew their were patches to make my costume not as passible I would have rethought. But the ERP boys and girls get pretty grossed out when they ask for a kiss and a centipede crawls out of her mouth.
    That by it's self deserves and emote. Im going to use the flies emote on her most rotted stage actually.
    Thanks. Her next form is actually her old body in the isles. A tall Black Hatian woman with a flare for wild colored threads. The next in Paragon is the corpse of a newly dead super heroine. Gonna use some of the blast pieces for her cape and costume to simulate battle.
    Right now she is normal...or sort of, but her leg falls partly off and her arm rots in slot 2. The Halloween slot is the original Collette Moreau who was a student of Boccor. Her very last costume is going to be fully covered chitten with a human head, as a way of keeping her body from decaying further.
    I play it like she can revert to previous skins but the cost is channeling her necromancy to be more passible as a human, regenerating her flesh, however in battle she can't do that as well so she begins to rot more.
    Even use the rapid boil emote change to simulate oooooooze.
  23. I witched my toon to Zombies Thermal. They last a lot longer now. That makes me happy
  24. Were you loyal to the vision? Or Enriche? (Please click my link)
    With Primal Earth not having Enriche, perhaps your minds are freed from Mother Mayhems wicked elixer.
    But I sort of got the sense that the vigilanti route leads to the side Cole would want, but it rarely effect the party or heroes already existing in the world.
  25. I know Virtue people who joke about ERP, because when on virtue thats what you do. It's the inside/out joke and we make fun of ourselves.
    I have been on fantastic RP battles where it "Feels" like a comic book! Like an actual comic. It's interesting to see the dynamic when it happens.
