  1. Ah cool, thankya for the info reguarding mace, and yeah alot of people asked me why I didn't level my widow before I leveled my bane, and all I had to say was this.

I have a mace, that shoots frickin' poison lasers, and I can rambo people, vanish, then tap them on the shoulder for 800+ damage.

(Opinion Alert for the ahead comment!)
I'm pretty sure I'm having more fun than if I were a psychic claw scrapper =D
  2. Ah good to hear, and silly question...if I go the mace patron pool, will it make me take a different mace out/cause redraw? Cause it'd suck to have to juggle three different redraws instead of just swapping from a gun to a mace.

I ask because I like the idea of replacing bash with the blast, and having another summon and a more effective web grenade type ability. The AOE I'll probably skip even though it does moderate instead of light.. Then again, I could probably just get the fighting pool instead and have something I'd actually use
  3. Dear lord this is the most fun i've had since I've first STARTED PLAYING!

I open fire on a group, placate and crowd control and I see anything that isn't at least a +4 LT take a dirtnap.

It's just plain fun to play this odd hybridized shock troop. But I admit, I am flat out ignoring the medicore volley/blast mace AOES, (light damage on my AOE? you kidding?) and I'm on the fence about poisonous ray.

The body change thing is supposed to be part of the next booster. Which isn't out yet.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Ohhh, *feels dumb*

My bad, I thought it was an inherent part of the issue. My apologies!
  5. Anyone else able to actually change their body type on live servers? I'm trying to make my scrapper huge and the cosmetic surgeons are all "derp" and I don't see that option to change body type anywhere. and I've been to the steel canyon one and the founder's falls one.
  6. Am I the only person who realizes the hilarity in the "zomg crossdressing" comments...when you could make a male character as a female player, and a female character as a male player...SINCE LAUNCH!?

It's not even a transgender or crossdressing issue, it's "My tastes and character concepts have changed, so I want to rename/regender/respec my toon" issue. And complete and utter knee jerk morons are making it needlessly complex.

That and world of warcraft let's you pay to change the gender of your characters also.... And even in that community of mental midgets I didn't have to hear watchdog group-ish barking over such things..
  7. Slight update, I can one shot minions, two shot LTs, it takes a bit more muscle to take down a boss though, but a built up set of strikes with a stomp tends to take them down a peg.

I'm having a blast with this, it's roughly comparable to playing as a brute with perpetual 40-50 fury in his bar.
  8. Yeah exactly! Dwarf is gonna be used as a sort of "break free" or "Panic button" so I can teleport and regroup. That and I like the form too much to totally abandon it. It really is handy.

And hrm, I didn't know the procs worked on passives, I know toggles and whatnot had a 10 second "pulse" to check for a proc, but that's really good information to know. I learn something new everyday.

I'm mostly worried about not being up to snuff when compared to the "real" damage, I mean I play to have fun of course. But I feel bad if I'm lagging behind people on average.
  9. I'm working on a peacebringer currently, and my current build is human/dwarf, however I'd like to respec my alternate build to be pure human and focused on high single target damage primarily and decent AOE.

I thiiiink I've finally worked out my ideal "end game" slotting and enhancements. And was wondering if there were places I could improve or more intelligently slot bonus wise. And I know I have outrageously expensive/hard to get things in the build, it's just something I'm going to have to work for. To set a goal of sorts =) also I forgot to factor in accolades. I plan on getting those as well.

I basically aim to be the guy who takes out the big intimidating boss in a group. And to elevate myself from a "fun and viable" AT to "Fun and Crushingly Strong" AT =D

  10. Lots of nice info here, but I have a question...

It also says "increases HP regeneration" in the tooltip for white dwarf as well, but the detailed info mentions nothing of it. Does it really? And if so how much regen? I want to know if going with healing sets/regen biasing (As it seems regen is the only stat you can effectively set stack, I wish I could get my Def up with sets...) would be effective or a waste.
  11. Yeah, I looove the dwarf stomp I am however just level 22. and I plan on 6 slotting dwarf form beyond my 3 slots I have now to put end modifications in it.

I have 3 resist in dwarf, the steadfast protection IO in my human form passive for the 3 percent def, and a few regen bonuses.

I just feel like I'd get my block knocked off even if I had to temporarily tank anything. And yeah I know I know. I'm supposed to be the "jack of all trades". I just want to be able to do a few trades well before the debt factory grinds me up
  12. Yay, we get to color code the farm mobs by order of phat loots and XP!
  13. I have put 3 green+ resist SOs in it, andespite reducing incoming damage by 60 percent I still feel like I could get trounced by an unlucky few red LTS.

I'm duoing with my friend for fun who's playing a warshade, and I feel as if I could be doing something more competantly.

Any sort of buff or IO or something that could help me out here?
  14. Ah thankya =) Just needed an idea of where to head
  15. I've hit level 41 and other than the shadow shard. What missions/content/cool stuff is there to do? I'm a little lost since when I last played at issue 3-4, I only got to level 32 max.

Me and my friend are sort of wandering around looking for missions. Just wanted to get a nudge in the right direction.
  16. I'm thinking of testing out a experimental build and I was wondering...

1: Do they count as pets for the sake of enhancements set bonuses?

2: Can they be buffed via siphons or fulcrum shifts?
  17. I remember having a earth/storm controller on a long lost account now, level 32. Way back in issue 4 or so.

Since coming back I have seen a grand total of zero earth controllers and pretty much no earth advice or discussion as of late and it's hisheartening, has it received a nerf? Or have other "Damage Troller" sets overshadowed it like in the past?

It's a shame because I really love this combo and I'm remaking it, sure. Stony was the dumbest and perhaps slowest pet next to jack frost (Sorry ice ) but I was a controlling fool. No enemy could do anything in my presence. Reguardless of enemy group.
  18. Ah gotcha, I like the defender role, I just remember playing like a "blaster with a heal button" many many issues ago and was sort of alarmed at the shift.
  19. 32 Rad/Rad defender here, and even with accelerated metabolism and a res debuffed foe, even my aimed snipe does less damage than my claw scrapper's unbuffed shockwave.

I mean I still do helpful team functions, but I feel fundamentally useless besides that. Like even activating my secondaries is a end waste.
  20. Ah thankya for the suggestions, I think I may try willpower/energy melee, I was trying to avoid SS because my friend is the exact same combo. And I have a complex about playing the same class as someone I know lol.
  21. I'm wanting to make a nice fun tanker/scranker ever since the disappointment of my granite/fire tank (He's wonderful and survives anything, he's just not fun for my go getter playstyle and kills even white LTs slow.)

So I ask, of the two, which would I enjoy more for offensive tanking? Super Strength or Energy Melee.

    And how's invulnerability these days?
  22. I love intelligent uses of knockback, "Corner the group so it's in a pile" "push that straggler back in" etc. and I use my claws/SR scrappers shockwave to buy a dying tank a few moments to get patched up. So anyone who says "GBLURGHGHGHGH I HATE KB HATE HATE HATE" without any context is instantly viewed as dumb in my book.

And I love using it solo just for laughs and chaos.

But it's still annoying to have a slap happy energy blaster or illusion controller's idiotic pets sling high damage ranged enemies outside of their controlled group so they can pick off everyone. but then again... the same could be said about misuse of any powers.

Like rad defenders who run AWAY from the group when low on health to heal themselves selfishly, controllers who just mash their buttons without properly timing things, etc.
  23. [ QUOTE ]
First of all, you should read some of the guides in the guide section.

    However, here goes...

Peacebringers (PB) are Scrankfenders (Scrapper/Tanker/Defender) mix who are capable of holding aggro quite well with their Dwarf form, heal themselves (2 self-heal powers in Human form, one in Dwarf form) and heal a team-mate (with a power in Human-form). They also have two AoE KB powers (Solar Flare in Human form and White Dwarf Flare in Dwarf form) an AoE stun power (Pulsar, Human form) and a two other AoE damage powers both in Human form, one of which has a noticeable endurance crash effect. Generally speaking a PB is less intensive to play than a Warshade simple because Warshades have more tactical options to them and require a constant vigil and usage of the enemies around the WS to survive.

Warshades (WS) are Trollkers (Controller/Stalker) beasts who can teleport themselves (either cloaked, or not, as they prefer) into a group of enemies, and then in quick succession boost their own accuracy (Sunless Mire, Human form) and damage potential as well as their damage-resist (Eclipse, Human form) and then use varied tactics to take out the enemy group and with each defeated foe, replenish their HP and Endurance (Stygian Circle, Human form) or even extract a defeated foes' essence to fight for them as a temporary pet (up to 3/4 extracted essences can be out at any one time depending on the WS build and the other team granted buffs). The trollerish part of a WS comes from their ability to stack (by themselves, mind you) stun effect on an enemy group through the use of Inky Aspect and Gravitic Emanation, both from the WS Human form.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ah thankya kindly, and I apologize for the board clutter. I just wanted to know which type of kheld me and my friend should each play to suit our general styles.

I like being a more protector-y role so I'd prolly be a PB.
  24. I'm a little confused as to what exactly IS the difference between a peacebringer and a warshade, and I'm at a loss for what the human form can do that the transformed shapes can't do.

Me and my friend are trying to hit 50 to each make one because they seem fun/versitile/complex. But I just sort of want a "Condensed" explaination to see which is different.
  25. I'm fighting circle of thorns/upper end crey and mostly warriors in a few friend's story arcs. Trying to avoid anything that does alot of AOE mess (Despite the fact I listed circle of thorns lol) since I only have my AOE passive at this level.
