I haven't pay attention to problems in SI, but I think I had couple "WTF?" moments with it recently. I'm going to pay more close attention to it from now.
I had few issues with SS + StealthIO though.
Here is the thread http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=230128. -
Quote:There is also a submarine between Sharks and IPYes to BH.
Don't know about the Paragon City ferries. There are only two 'lines' and one uses a cargo ship, and not the ferry. <shrug>

Quote:Heh. I farmed DJ Zero mission set for x8 on my VEATs to get a badge.I'd rather see something happen to redcaps.
Seriously. Running into those abhorrent little devils in a redside tip mission on my Nictus was painful. I popped a metric tonne of oranges and changed to Dwarf form.
A few seconds later I was dead. This was after using all my greens, too.
Those little shites are evil... -
Speed LGTF (37 merits) can be done under 30 minutes.
Speed Kahn (30 merits ATM) can be done under 30 minutes as well. -
Quote:Devs already put timer on regular merits to A-merits conversion, and i'm fine with that. And if you could convert those Merits to A-Merits with no timer, you could flood the market with 990 randoms. That's considerably more flooding.
Not to mention if you used those hypothetical A-Merits you could leverage specific rolls into FAR more INF than you could with randoms.
You have a right to spend the rewards you've earned. They have a right to limit how quickly they hand out those rewards, especially in a situation where you're not doing it to advance your characters, but to manipulate the market in your favor.
Further restricting how fast player can spend their rewards, and mind you not all types of rewards, but just only one type, seems to be very inconsistent and shortsighted to me. -
Heh, I have 9900+ regular merits on one of my toons. Nothing is preventing me to spend these on random rolls at once (495+ rolls) and flood the market.

Quote:In case of targeting NPC, the power set on auto just wouldn't activate, but auto designation isn't removed from power itself. The moment you cleared target selection, power will activate and continue to fire on auto.I don't know about the 4 times thing, but I DO know that if you are targeting an NPC anything set to auto-fire won't go off. I also think the same applies to targetable objects as well, but I'm not a 100% sure
So, if you do a lot or trading at WW's or the BM, then it won't be going off if you keep the NPC there targeted.
If I understand OP correctly, he loses auto designation from that power ( green circle ) altogether. -
Had anyone know dev's justification to put such timer on spending?

Quote:It doesn't matter. Phantasm has no business to go into melee range. And he didn't do it until recently.Strange. My Phantasm seems a lot more resilient than described here, even against Giant Monsters and EBs. About the only time he dies is if he's on the other side of the critter from me and takes a few too many AoEs while out of range of Radiant Aura, or if I'm on a team where there's too many critters for my Phantom army to hog all the aggro or for the Spectral Terror to lock down...
Do you folks not make any effort to heal your Phantasms?
He has 3 attacks:
Power Bolt - single target, 70 feet range
Energy Torrent - AoE cone, 40 feet range
Decoy Phantasm - summon, 60 feet range. -
Quote:I don't give damn regarding RP aspects of inherent fitness (or RP aspects of the game altogether). I'm totally for inherent fitness.Ye Gods this thread (and entire line of thought) makes my head hurt.
Just IGNORE the damn in-game effects if its an RP issue! Hell, if any of my natural characters fell off the tallest buildings in-game, they'd die! Not have 1 HP left, they'd die. Splat! Street freaking pizza!
Just...please. Stop. My cerebral core is fragging out on this one.
But, there can be problem for players who don't have necessary twiching reflexes, playing the game on outdated hardware or any combination of both.
As for myself, all my toons have SS and either swift or hurdle. I'm always playing with SS + sprint on. That combo puts me at or near run speed cap (depending on character). So, as you can see, that inherent fitness isn't going to affect me at all. But potential problem for player with old hardware and/or poor movement control skills should be recognized and addressed IMO. -
By the way, are devs aware about this problem with Phantasm AI?

My suggestion doesn't require creating new enhancements. I was talking regarding existing "Snare" (Slow) IO/SO

Quote:I have alternative suggestion is to allow slot swift and hurdle with "slows" for these players who cannot or don't want to handle increased speed and jump. *shrug*wow.. for people who cry "we want options" you all sure rag on people that propose such.
My only issue for inherent Fitness is Swift. There are times when the slow "trot" is a good effect. If I wanted to go faster I'd turn on Sprint or the travel power. But my main thing against the active Swift Power is for my melee characters trying to line up the mobs for what few limited AOE attacks it may have, one tap of a sideways movement key works fine without Swift but many times with it the character moves too far. I'm not going to spend a lot of time lining things up, but if I can do it with 1 or 2 key taps I will. Swift ruins that for me.
So yeah, for Swift I'd like that enhancement for some of my characters, but for the other Fitness powers I wouldn't use their negative enhancements. (Hurdle is so much fun!)
It's a decent suggestion. I'd go for it. Maybe the Devs have an alternative solution planned already? -

Quote:I think, this ability already exist in the game. It is something like /kickinternal "charname"So just add in the ability to kick someone from a team when they're offline. That's not a bad thing to have either honestly.
Edit:
Slash command is /team_kick_internal, some people claimed it worked for them, other people were saying it didn't work. Worth to try anyway IMO -

Quote:Have you considered using keyboard to select teammates?Going to keep this thread alive.... because I've done this at least 6 times on my buffing/healing characters alone while trying to select somebody for a buff/quick heal.
Please for the love of god add a prompt option.
It can be workaround for you until (if at all) this popup box was implemented.
I'm using the following binds to select and buff teammates on my fire/kin:
ADD "powexecname Increase Density"
NUMPAD1 "teamselect 1"
NUMPAD2 "teamselect 2"
NUMPAD3 "teamselect 3"
NUMPAD4 "teamselect 4"
NUMPAD5 "teamselect 5"
NUMPAD6 "teamselect 6"
NUMPAD7 "teamselect 7"
NUMPAD8 "teamselect 8"
NUMPAD9 "targetcustomnext friend notteammate notmypet"
NUMPADENTER "powexec_name Speed Boost" -
Quote:Patches usually pushed on Tuesdays, not Thursdays. Thursday is for maintenance only.I don't have a problem with any of these fixes, but it seems that none of them, or even all of them put together, were really important enough to warrant a patch being pushed out earlier than the normal Thursday pushes.
This begs one really big question - What were the stealth fixes that they are not telling us about?
And FWIW, attempt to fix broken Mace Mastery for Dominators alone warrants this patch to go live. -
You can make it work if you are running CoX in windowed mode. It still doesn't work in fullscreen mode neither on Vista nor on Win7
-
Looks like an unstable version works just fine.
Thanks for idea. -
I'm having problem with Herostats since today's patch.
Anyone got any workarounds to make it work? -
