Does anyone elses Auto-Attack stop after four activations?
Hasten is staying selected as Auto for me on the characters that have it. Other characters that have a power selected as Auto are still using those powers and they are staying selected as Auto.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.
Black Pebble is my new hero.
I was hoping someone wouldn't say that.
I've deleted this character like three times before I gave up and kept him. I've tried to enable it every way I know how. It just won't stay enabled after four activations. I mean I can set the deactivation like clockwork.
I hope it was a bug for someone else that they may have figured out how to fix it.
I haven't really paid a lot of attention to it but I keep Practiced Brawler as auto on my MA/SR scrapper and it seems like sometimes it shuts off (i.e. doesn't auto-refire) when I am in non-combat areas like the University or a shop. I haven't noticed it ever doing it on a mission so I haven't really paid much attention to it but maybe it is related to what you are experiencing.

I can select it so that there is a green circle around it by holding down the CTRL key + Left clicking the power, and it does auto activate like it's supposed to, but after four times the green circle disappears and it no longer fires.

For me, the aggravation is mostly account wide.

I don't know about the 4 times thing, but I DO know that if you are targeting an NPC anything set to auto-fire won't go off. I also think the same applies to targetable objects as well, but I'm not a 100% sure
So, if you do a lot or trading at WW's or the BM, then it won't be going off if you keep the NPC there targeted.
Well in my case its Hasten that I have it around so that I can activate my powers as quickly as possible. But it keeps turning off.
I would like to think that it was turning off because of NPC's, but I take my time in a mission and take out "everyone" for maximum xp, but it turns off in the middle of missions.

/bind Z "nop"
I hope that helps.
Are you accidentally hitting "Z" now and then?
Z will remove the auto-fire selection.

If I understand OP correctly, he loses auto designation from that power ( green circle ) altogether.
You might want to check your binds to make sure you don't have powexec_abort (on the Z key) or something similar canceling your auto power. If you do, you can change that key by typing:
/bind Z "nop" I hope that helps. |
Z was what I hitting to holster my guns. I wasn't aware "Z" was what it was. Now that I know I'll quit using it. My other characters don't need to re-holster their weapons so I didn't know why this guy was having that problem.
Thanks both you guys. I couldn't find that answer anywhere (^_^)
OMG!

/bind Z unselect
That should still holster your weapon, but wont cancel your auto-power.
Or, you can just use Escape to holster instead. That's already set up for it...
..but if you are already in the habit of using Z, then use the bind above to fix it.
Thanks I can use esc just as easy. I was just using Z because that was what I found that works.
Thanks (^_^)
I've used the search feature and I've used Google to search the web, but I can't find this answer.
I used to play a few years back and I've recently started playing again. I'm having fun, but the problem I have is that my newest character, a dual pistol blaster, is having problems where haste stops auto activating after four times.
I can select it so that there is a green circle around it by holding down the CTRL key + Left clicking the power, and it does auto activate like it's supposed to, but after four times the green circle disappears and it no longer fires.
I thought maybe I was somehow disabling it, so I scrolled and put it on the fourth power bar and then scrolled away so that I couldn't click on it, but after four activations the green circle again disappears.
Was there some change a while back that I missed to how auto attack powers worked?
