I can't log in either. Log-in server must be down.
Any idea how long that takes to fix? Do you think that they know about it? -
Listed Level 31 Recipes:
Expedient Reinforcement: Resist Bonus Unique
Gaussian's SFC: Rech/Endurance -
I haven't been on as much due to work but when I'm on I see some people all over the place.
I was hoping that the SG would run more "merit" producing content like TFs and Flashback but that doesn't seem to be happening very much, at least when I'm on. I have 2 toons, a blaster and a PB built for Stealth Posi runs available, one in the SG and one unaffiliated.
Question is what's the plan going forward? Are we transferring toons to differant servers? New builds? -

Ok, here are some universal truths:
1. You don't need IO's or the market to play the game. SO's are fine (no really).
2. Infamy/Infuence isn't created by the market. Someone somewhere is playing the game and generating cash and drops (salvage, recipes, enhancements, whatever).
3. The ONLY limiting factor is TIME. I would argue that it seems "fair" to pay "play money" to someone who is willing to sell something you want rather than try to acquiring yourself using method 1. IF you've decided that you want lvl 35 Common IO's rather than buying SO's at lvl 35, 40, 45 and 50 why not pay a fee to someone who is willing to take their finite resource, i.e TIME, to "hold" if for you so you can buy the stuff you need for a level 35 IO.
4. Complaining about flipping seems silly because the "high" prices of products ENSURE that they are available whenever you want to buy them, feel free to "negotiate" a price. Why pay 50K for an Alchemical Silver when you can bid 25K and get it tomorrow.
If all the above is confusing to you take a toon to 35. Set a timer. Use the market for IO's, Salvage, Recipes to outfit it. Flip to alternate build. Set a timer. Go scrounge up the same stuff you need to outfit out that toon. Report back in a month when you are unable to get the stuff you need (assuming no AE tickets).
Heck I'll bankroll the experiment for you.
Then tell me if you don't think your TIME is more valuable then some "play money" that you've been complaining about. -

What kind of villians? Everybody has infamy, I love to see what people are running.

Hey MM forumites:
I've been working on a Ninja/Trick Arrow Mastermind, mainly because everyone says they are weak (don't really agree).
I put together a resonalbly priced build with some +Ranged Defense sets in powers I use all the time. The Achilles Proc is the most expensive IO on the build, everything has been bought and in the base bins at this time.
I think I probably need to add some BotZ in some travel powers to cap it, not sure yet if I want to do that.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hey all:
Someone has cornered the market on Common Damage IO's Red-Side, level 20-45. Someone could prolly make a bunch of money selling them by the bushel full at 300K each.
Sorry if I blew your market niche but severe shortage of supply annoys me and I don't really feel like crafting any. It's a good way for market newbies to start building a bankroll. -

Howdy,
Not a big fan of MM attacks, you'd be more effective taking the leadership pool and letting the bots roast the good guys.
Here is a basic IO build, about 40% S/L defense, will jump if the Protector bots bubble you. Defense sets are certainly an option as you have slots to burn if you need to add to critical powers to achieve +def bonus.
Say goodbye to the gun... Force Bolt has to stay, use for juggling bosses as kb out of bots aoe is less than ideal.

Hey Market folks:
If you were to use AE tickets to buy Rare Salvage to sell on the market, what price "feels about right" for it to break even? Do you see how many are currently for sale and say, "less than 100 available, going to the AE building."
I'm kind of like anything over 2 million/piece seems to be worth it for me, just wondering how you all felt.
Later, -
Quote:I'm soooo jealous of the survivability of the regen for Posi levels.Noght is jealous because my DM/Regen didn't die but his kept face planting.
Just kidding Noght. While my scrapper was more survivable, there's no question which one of us did more damage.
If I were to make a Posi runner, I'd go Kat/Regen not Fire Melee. Divine Avalanche + heals = really tough to kill and katana has good offensive output even at Posi levels.
Edit: I'm fairly sure that reconstitution has toxic resistance in it.
Willpower can't handle the burst damage waiting for all the zombies to clump. I face planted quite a bit throughout the solo run.
My thought is Fire/Regen. Reconstruction had 15% toxic resist and Resiliance has about 6% toxic resist unslotted. I figure if you drop all your slots in the 1-20 powers you can 6 slott Recon/DP and 3 attacks including FSC.
Thoughts?
Can Dark Armor handle the Toxic Wave? I'm not sure you can fit everything in that you need by 20 with Dark Armor. -
Hey Scrappers:
I'm wondering what the forum folks think would be an "optimal" scrapper build for Solo Posi Runs.
Of course there are parameters:
1) I want to cap at level 33 for the Midlevel Market project if possible.
2) Front load as many slots in the Powers level 1-20.
3) Thinking some type of Resistance-based Armor though Regen might work cuz you can heal because attack chain will have gaps.
4) Anything in the toolbox to handle the Toxic Zombie Vomit?
5) Fire seems nice due the PBAoE at 18 but am open to ideas. Sword(s) for stacking parry maybe.
6) IO's are fine, thinking lvl 18 for set bonus' or frankenslotting options.
I've been running a Fire/Willpower but he seems a bit fragile so far.
Thanks in advance. -
I'm thinking about 3 Billion at the low end right?
Plus it is the red-side so supply would be a huge issue, a previous poster mentioned that 5 sets of Kinetic Combats/Imperviums might be difficult to come by unless you're buying them yourself with merits.
Might be easier to buy a bunch of LotG +recharges, max out the S/L resist and rely on the offense to "mitigate the damage". -
Blue Side Crafted:
Touch of Death (33) Acc/Dam/End
Scirocco's Dervish (33) Acc/Dam/End
Entropic Chaos (33) Dam/End/Rech -
I got a differant read on the OP's suggestion.
My thought is this...do we need 4 differant snipe recipes? I think he was thinking about the variety of choices within the class of IO's availble for that set.
For example...there are 4 Accuracy Debuff "Sets" to choose from, 1.5 seem to have some value associated with them...when the came out with the Accurate Accuracy Debuff expansion set, they only created 2 "Sets" a lower level set and a higher level set.
Maybe if there were less "Set" choices you would see more useful "valued" recipes when the RNG says you get a Snipe ACC/DAM, rather than 1 of 3 possible Snipe ACC/DAM options.
Just my thought. -
Hey Mids:
I'm out of Town until Friday. Anything in the bins with the name "Flame Ape" on it is available for anyone who needs it. I crafted a bunch and moved some things around a bit...all the Crushing Impacts together, etc.
CYA when I get back. -
Quote:Well I just thought it would be nice to have a pile of available IO's for the Mids toons to use for frankenslotting. Not as a means of making a profit. I'm at 100Mill+ already just selling my merit rolls and after spending about 50mill IO'ing my toon out with Non-Pool C/D lvl 30-35 IO's.I tend to view Crushing Impacts and Thunderstrikes as sort of "getto" IOs as far as crafting and selling goes. It's true that they come from nice sets that people like to use, but they are so common that even with the cheap cost of salvage (no rare salvage required), it's hard to make much of a profit crafting and selling them.
My thought was this...Lvl 35 common Acc IO is 34%, a lvl 35 Acc/Dam IO (any set) is 22.9%/22.9% for a total of 45.8%, the tri's are about 54% total. I just wanted the maximum amount of Accuracy, Damage, Redux, Recharge available for the only limiting factor we are working under and that is slots.
I was totally surprised at the lack of supply available for the non-prime sets, especially melee and pbaoe.
On a side note, I just dropped in a bunch of IO's maybe 20 melee, ranged, aoe, heal, resist sets into the bins. I've been bronze rolling and buying 30 tier 2 salvage with ae tickets. -
Added to the Market:
Lvl 33 Celerity + Stealth (lowest level crafted IO available)
Lvl 33 Scirocco's Acc/Dam/End (one of 3 available below lvl 50) -
Quote:Actually things like Crushing Impacts and Thunderstrikes get to the market, it's the rest of the things that get vendored.Noght,
I have a bunch of Crushing Impact and some other useful stuff in the bins. Take em. They're yours if you want them. They're all level 33.
That goes for anybody else too. I have some good Thunderstrikes in there too. They're up for grabs.
BTW, my character is Furia Fist so if you see my stuff in there, take it.
When frankenslotting it doesn't matter to me if it's a 33 Crushing Impact Acc/Dam or a 33 Focused Smite Acc/Dam, I get the same effect.
I was totally surprised the lack of Non-Prime AOE recipes. If it wasn't a Scirocco or Positron piec they weren't making it to the market.
My goal was to make this toon without dipping into the Pool C pool if you will, staying with uncommon recipes that drop all the time. Apparently because there is no market they are getting vendored.
I propose an AE Bronze Ticket Roll Blow-out. Let's take a team and max out our tickets 2 or 3 times, take Bronze Rolls 35-39 and stock up all the Melee, Ranged, AoE crafted IO's we can carry for the SG use. -
MIDS ALERT * * * MIDS ALERT * * * MIDS ALERT * * *
Any toon that gets any level 30-36 Recipe in the following classes:
Melee Damage
Ranged Damage
PBAoE Damage
TAoE Damage
Especially if they are the Acc/Dam or Acc/Dam/End types.
I tried to buy Multi-Strikes for my Scrapper and there were 6 total recipes available in that level range TOTAL. So for 6 differant recipes at 6 differant levels, there was a total of 6 only available, made it tough to frankenslot
I'll pay for the salvage if need be, just craft em and drop em in the bins as there is little supply.
Remember with limited slots we need our mini-Hami O's for max bonus'.
THAT IS ALL, RETURN TO MIDDING AND STUFF! -
Here is what I've posted on the market and what has sold:
(17) Imped. Swift Damage Proc - Sold 12 mill
(17) Reg. Tissue Tri - sold 3 mill
(18) Freebird + Stealth - sold 30 mill
(23) Edict of the Master + Def - crafted in bin (waiting for GR I guess)
(25) Razzle Dazzle Tri - sold 1 mill (recipe)
(27) Luck of the Gambler Tri - Sold 10 mill
(28) Expedient Reinforcement + Resist -Sold 10 mill
(29) Aegis + Mez Resist - Sold 10 mill
(30) Touch of Death Tri - Not sold after 3 days so I kept it.
(31) Aegis Tri - On Sale 5 mill
(32) Stupefy Chance for KB - Boo...recipe on sale cheap
So I have two toons parked at 33, a Fire/WP scrapper and a PB with all his slots in the Nova/Dwarf Forms for low level TF's. -

Quote:There's been several people on each night. I ran two TFs with E K Nacthmuzik Sat, and we're running a Posi tonight with three of us. "Speed" Posi, lol.
It went kind of fast....2 hours 10 min I think.
We had some bad door placements, one end of Perez to the other end of Skyway once. Leaving Perez for Galaxy for one of the clear alls at the end, things like that.
Overall it went pretty smooth..
I rolled
Call of the Sandman Tri (33)
Luck of the Gambler End/Rech (33)
Aegis Tri (33)
So meh on the rolls. I'll post em on the AH soon. -
I plan on selling everything I get from merits and use uncommon recipes for my Fire/WP Ape Scrapper.
Things like Crushing Impact, Multi-Strike, Serendipity etc, nothing from pool C or D.
My goal is to get 1.5 SO's Acc/3 SO's Dam/1 SO endredux in my attacks, anything else is gravy. The question is do I need 4 or 5 slots to achieve this. Stay tuned.
Mids SG toons: Flame Ape and Light Lion (Lvl 33 PB Posi specced toon with some shinies, all the slots are in the Forms)
