It makes me cry when another player asks me not to speed boost them because "i kep runnin into walls lol".
[/ QUOTE ]
Dark Defenders, Controllers, and even some Blasters rely heavily on proper positioning to do their job with maximum efficiency. Speed Boost can _really_ screw with that.
And Speed Boost isn't good for ANYONE on that multi-tiered cave map *shudders*. A slightly faster refresh (on a generally already full attack chain by level 16 anyway) isn't going to help if you keep falling 6 stories below your target. -

EDIT: Checked the posts out. Says a bunch of nothin' like most. Dont see why the people worship is there.

That's how you get to 23 thousand posts, my friend, unless you're BillZBubba, jg1001 or Memphis_Bill, who got there by actually being helpful. -
...and you can't just go click "roll back" either, for those who had it before. You have to redownload and install the old ones. The Nvidia control panel and Physx involved in the 186 driver are what is believed to be the problem, not the core driver itself.
-
You have to get the 185.85 drivers if you want CoH to work for now. The 186.whatever drivers don't work with Coh. Yes the Nvidia people know. No they don't know why. Yes, you are correct, the same drivers in Vista work just fine.

To make it clear: 185.85 is not a new driver. That's the old one.

Holy cow I posted my initial post in the wrong thread. I'm a fool for having so many windows open. Err OP... don;t update to the new drivers.. you won;t even get the 5 minutes!
Lol. -

I have a GeForce 9600GT, and the 185.85 drivers... and I don't have any issues.

Since you don't have the new drivers, it obviously won't apply to you. -

I'd recommend starting with Zloth's ++ Common Solutions & Posting Guidelines ++ thread that is stickied in this forum.
Secondly, post a log from running CoH Helper as it will give information about your system and the CoH installation and settings.
Thirdly, post a log from running HijackThis. This will show what else is going on on your computer while you are playing CoH.

Must you brainlessly spam every thread with that post? -
This has nothing to do with scandisk or defrag or running processes and everything to do with the new Nvuidia drivers.

Often villains are made humorous by their attempts and exploits. To disarm us from backing away from the character. the Joker of the Batman Animated series was like this. Meanwhile the Joker in Dark Knight was a sociopathic homicidal maniac whom we all thought of as amazingly well done. But who here truly identifies with him as a person?
[/ QUOTE ]
Speak for yourself there. I think he was a good homicidal maniac.. but that's the problem. He was just a generic homicidal maniac. That happened to wear Joker makeup. It gave me the feeling that some kid read Batman comics as a kid, grew up to be a nutcase, and started cosplaying as The Joker.
There's a wonderful homicidal maniac there... but there's no Joker there. The Joker is to be feared. TDK's Joker was just a mundane rabid dog. -
This has long since been a big sticking point of mine. I despise glowie missions; I cannot hear them. For us (even though I am not completely deaf) these are worse then the kill all missions.
-
I grow tired of waiting for a response on this. Clearly it is something we want, and we're utterly ignored; not even given the courtesy of a response.
In light of that, as a form of passive resistance, I will be reporting it as a /bug in the creator every other day. I invite anyone who wishes to join me. -
I think a good idea would be some sort of page where they post, telling us what changes were made in the latest patch. Perhaps they can call the page, since it has notes about the patches.. a sort of "patch notes" page?
What's that? We already have one? Ah, so we do. Problem is they don't update it until 8 hours after the patch went live; and of late haven't been updating it at all.
Seriously, I should not have to dig through the forums to find out what changed. It's not very professional. -
I would like it back as well. It looked good, I made several costume with it; but now I am forced to keep those costumes as they are _forever_ or else my winged characters lose their wings.
Put it back the way it was, please. -
I'd like it to carry over a few extra days simply because I've rarely been able to actually log into the server my characters are on.
This hasn't been a double XP weekend for me; it's been a 20% XP weekend. -

it is not expecially, it is especially. That particular misspelling is a pet peeve of mine. So is rediculous, it is ridiculous.

Hey I thought I fixed that. -
You know... if there's no fighting in the Pocket D, I sorta take that to mean that any conflicted action would similarly be impossible. Pickpocketing.. being "kidnapped" any of those sorts of things.
I mean, I don;t go around interfering with other people's RP... but why is it there's this huge contingent of people, expecially on the Virtue Server... who seem to think that because there's chalk outlines on the floor and walls (which police don't do) that this suddenly makes violence possible in the D?
Blows my mind. I've had people claim to steal this and that, claim to destroy possessions of mine, think they're supposed to be taken seriously when they point a gun at my head.. et cetera.
Other people can do whatever they want.. but.. I kinda recall clicking something that said "There is no fighting here". There's some dude in the D on Virtue right now trying to argue about the chalk outlines.. and I just had to point out how laughable that is. "There is no fighting here." is very clear. Nobody cares that your character is a god (at level 13?). Not only is that pathetic RP in the first place (I say this happens therefore it succeeded!!!) it's also just... hilarious. By what mindset is there wiggle room in "There is no fighting here?"

It sounds to me like a lungshot 97 year old man saying "c'mon".
