Trying to come back after a long absence. Got the game
installed and all updated however after i hit the agree button
on the user agreement nothing happens, the agreement goes
away and nothing at all happens. Nothing running in the
background or anything that could do that no firewall or
anything.

I'd recommend starting with Zloth's ++ Common Solutions & Posting Guidelines ++ thread that is stickied in this forum.

Secondly, post a log from running CoH Helper as it will give information about your system and the CoH installation and settings.

Thirdly, post a log from running HijackThis. This will show what else is going on on your computer while you are playing CoH.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

You have some corruption going on that is causing the Unknown lines to show up, as well as the 2147483647 showing up everywhere.

I'd suspect a corrupt video driver install. Download Driver Sweeper and follow the instructions on that page to run it correctly.

I'd also recommend upgrading to Vista SP2.

Once you've done those, rerun CoH Helper and post a fresh log of it's output.

Looking at the Registry Information for Current User entries of your CoHHelper, we see lots of unknown and 2147483647 (BTW 2147483647 in binary is 1111111111111111111111111111111)

From ++ Common Solutions & Posting Guidelines ++ :

If you are running Windows Vista, it’s best not to install the game to the default directory. The game puts some user data (screenshots, keybind files, …) into the game directory itself and that’s a big no no under Vista. Vista can still run the game fine if it’s located there but it can get a little confusing (see “Missing Files” below).

So copy the Updater to your Desktop (the actual EXE file, not a shortcut). Now uninstall CoH, then reinstall CoH using the Updater on your Desktop to your D drive.

Edit: Texas, I don't believe it to be a driver problem, the screwed up registry entries are for the game.

Will try reinstalling it again in a different place. I think all the unknowns might be because i never even get close to getting in the game? It's never loaded so it has no settings mabey.

Posted

You may want to grab Tweak CoH then and use it to configure the graphics settings before launching the game.

Another option would be to select the Safe Mode box on the User Agreement screen to see if the game will launch in Safe Mode.

Have you tried verifying the files by clicking the Verify Files button on the first updater screen?

Thirdly, post a log from running HijackThis. This will show what else is going on on your computer while you are playing CoH.

Since the OP contained absolutely no information that would be of assistance in troubleshooting the problem? Yes, although I wouldn't characterize it as "brainlessly spamming" as you do. To me, "brainlessly spamming" would be posting incorrect information in several threads, or irrelevant information in several threads.

If I see a post with enough information to begin troubleshooting, no, I don't post that particular clip of text.

As the poster above me said, if I didn't post to ask for it, someone else would. Considering the odd hours I'm keeping while recuperating from surgery, I can sometimes come in and at least get the information process started so that by the time those with more knowledge than me arrive on the scene they are already armed with the information they need to assist the player.

If you don't the the basics of how to help people debug their problems, which includes giving them a checklist of things to do and a checklist of information to give (which these programs automate), then you need to go away and stop haunting this forum. You're not helping.
