Oh. What a relief. Oh god. Whew. That was close. Not what I thought it was. Good.
*ahem*
People assume violence can POTENTIALLY happen in the Pocket D mainly for two reasons:
A: No power supression.
B: DJ Zero is the one keeping the Peace. In theory, if he goes down, the party is over and everyone can feel free to recreate the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and everything can go straight to hell in a handbasket.
Keep in mind, it is generally assumed DJ Zero is more like a god than an actual person. Taking him out or incapacitating him is about as impossible as getting beaten to death with your own skull.
Thoughts
It sounds like some bad rp is going on. Nobody should say, "I pickpocket you."
Input
I think Pocket D should be only for talking, maybe at most a little pushing or shoving.
Discussion
What RP reasons make it necessary to fight in Pocket D instead of somewhere else.

it is not expecially, it is especially. That particular misspelling is a pet peeve of mine. So is rediculous, it is ridiculous.

Hey I thought I fixed that.
He was WHITE? No way.

Feel free to activate Power Blast, Slug, Web Grenade, or the like on another player. Or get Inferno, Nova, Rain of Fire to hurt them.
Then tell me there's no power suppression.
You know..most people think the white marks mean violence..that couldn't be further from the truth.
You see what Really happened was Back Alley Brawler when he got toasty decided he was an artist and drew those there, and DJ Zero, who may not have been quite right in the head after playing the same techno song all day, was all like "Whoa dude that is AWESOME!!" and so they both decided it should stay as it is now.
Violence, bah, where do you kids get these crazy ideas

Any RPing that infers (or flat out states) that the player you're RPing with somehow just loses in some sort of conflict (i.e. keep his stuff vs. you pick pocketing, has a secret vs. your mental telepathy powers, etc) is bad RP. This is called "Power Posing" and its generally a sign that the person doing it needs to be added to my ignore list.
For RP conflicts, the best way is to tell the other player (not character) your intent, then either decide between you what happens or play Paper Scissors Stone or flip a coin or roll a die (hey why do you think we have those emotes anyways?) to see who wins, as long as everyone is happy with the possible outcomes. If someone says "NO" to anything in RP, then that means "NO" and the RPer must alter their RP accordingly or find someone else to play with. Period.
Grrr. Sorry, this just hit a sore spot with me.

The funny thing is, I always assumed the chalk outlines and such were really actually just there for decoration. I went a night club once some years back that had a similar decor in one part. It never crossed my mind until this thread that someone would think it was a real crime scene.
lol crime in the D.
IT'S AN EXTRADIMENSIONAL SPACE.
thusly, laws do not apply. Even international laws don't apply to extradimensional space. The laws of PHYSICS barely apply, why the heck would ones we make up to impose on ourselves?
Also, seeing as DJZero is the one who controlls the extradimensional space, his word is the only law that counts for everyone there. He says no fighting, there's no fighting.
Now, pickpocketing and the like, might slide.
In which case it should be RP'd in the correct manner.
You can't spell Slaughter without laughter
All your gonna do is just farm behemoths anyways.
My thoughts on November 30.
That's a common misconception, actually. Pocket D may reside in another universe (Shadow Shard hasbeen speculated, but not confirmed), or even on another plane of existance, but it certainly still exists within the 4th dimension.

its simply sounds like someone power-playing. the D is as neutral as you want it to be. Sure someone can get kidnapped or pick-pocketted if they allow it to happen but no one is making the attempt succeed but you. If someone continues to "rp" something that you don't want then they are just a crank so ignore them.
You know... if there's no fighting in the Pocket D, I sorta take that to mean that any conflicted action would similarly be impossible. Pickpocketing.. being "kidnapped" any of those sorts of things.
I mean, I don;t go around interfering with other people's RP... but why is it there's this huge contingent of people, expecially on the Virtue Server... who seem to think that because there's chalk outlines on the floor and walls (which police don't do) that this suddenly makes violence possible in the D?
Blows my mind. I've had people claim to steal this and that, claim to destroy possessions of mine, think they're supposed to be taken seriously when they point a gun at my head.. et cetera.
Other people can do whatever they want.. but.. I kinda recall clicking something that said "There is no fighting here". There's some dude in the D on Virtue right now trying to argue about the chalk outlines.. and I just had to point out how laughable that is. "There is no fighting here." is very clear. Nobody cares that your character is a god (at level 13?). Not only is that pathetic RP in the first place (I say this happens therefore it succeeded!!!) it's also just... hilarious. By what mindset is there wiggle room in "There is no fighting here?"
