    I never heard STF can't be done with a fire tank, in fact we have been doing it every saturday for months with a fire tank for the first 10-12 weeks and he did the job to perfection. Only tried once with an ice tank, and he did the hell of a job holding GW solo while we got rid of Mako. He couldn't tank LR though, but I doubt it was because of him being an ice tank, I am pretty sure it was because one of the team mates left so we lacked damage to take down the towers fast enough plus we oly had targeted heals that didn't work well against LR to keep the ice tank alive.

  7. I have a friend with an Ice tank, he's lvl 23 atm, we will try get him to lvl 25 tomorrow before the TF and if there's room (and we manage to get him to 25) he would like to join in case we need someone to fill up the team.-

    The DM/SR thingy

    Mmmm good point, let's see the enhancement figures of the 3 main ones:

    Smite 43.43% recharge/43.43% Acc/62.73% endrdx/96.65% dmg (after ED)

    Shadow Maul 47.7% rchg/91.78% endrdx/47.7% rchg/98.29%dmg (after ED)

    Midnight Grasp 66.25% Acc/66.25% endrdx/66.25% rchg/93.64% dmg (after ED) plus the lethal dmg chance proc.

    On top of that we have to add the set bonuses:

    +7,5% DamageBuff
    +9% Enhancement(Accuracy)
    +42,5% Enhancement(RechargeTime)

    Soul Drain has the same dmg and acc as if 2 SO slotted but better rchg because of rchgrdx IO's, boxing does not make real dmg, it's just a filler, Siphon Life does decent dmg but is mainly the self heal and helps filling the chain with the rechg rate bonus and Touch of Fear is basically a defense. Ths toon is vs. Nightmarer swapping Dark Consumption and getting Touch of Fear instead and then it misses Air Superiority and gets Combat Jumping instead. Although the attack chain seems short, I find that on Nightmarer I basically open with Soul Drain and then keep with the 3 main ones and using AS to fill gaps, so here ToF and Boxing will be used to fill gaps and Siphon Life to heal and help debuffing.

    I am losing about 5% dmg buff on Midnight Grasp comparing to a regular IO slotting (acc/end/rchg/3xdmg) but gaining almost 20% in the other 3 features pls the procedure, I gain 2% dmg on Shadow Maul and almost 35% endrdx and 21% acc compared to same regular slotting with IO's and on Smite I lose 3% dmg, gain 20% endrdx and about 1% acc and rchg.

    Although I lose a bit of dmg in 2 main attacks, it compensates with the global dmg buff bonus (just the 3% dmg bonus on Mako's Bite nullifies the 3% loss on Smite and cuts in half the dmg loss on Midnight Grasp) and also the procedure should help a bit. I could scratch a couple slots and add some dmg to boxing, but I don't think that would do much difference, probably, it would be better if I can dedicate 3 slots to boxing to make it 2 acc (or 2 acc/dmg HO's) and for the 3rd one to use a Chance for Disorient enhancement (can't remember the set) so Boxing would have 2 Disorient Procedures (I think they don't stack, but I will ask MaX sometime).
    Also, Practiced Brawler has a 81 secs recharge and 120 secs duration, so it will be double stacked for 39 seconds, pity it doesn't give Fear Protection, maybe if I ask Positron nicely...

    Glad you like the build mate, actually your suggestion of getting Soul Drain instead of Dark Consumption gave it the finishing touch

  10. I rolled an earth/storm and it is fun toon to play on teams. Not sure how different is, I went for it because I haven't seen many around.
    Earth/rad is also a blast of fun on teams, quite end high though.

    1.48 per second, which is not that bad compared to a DA who are usually on the 1.8 / 1.9 per second (with all DA toggles plus CJ, FA and Tough) or an Inv who usually is on the 1.6 / 1.7 per second with less toggles. Besides I did a slight modification after posting the build removing the Kismet +Acc from Combat Jumping and allocating it in Soul Drain (endrdx).

    Bright side is that this scrapper is currently at lvl 33 with a bunch of lvl 50 IO sets already crafted and stored in SG base waiting for him to reach appropriate lvl .
    Downside is that the ones not ready yet, will be an AWFUL lot of inf .

    Defense Stats are:
    Melee 46.9%
    Ranged 48.1%
    AoE 46.7%

    The recovery is 186% (3.1 per second) and the regeneration rate is about 250%.-

    I found on Nightmarer that high ranged defense does wonders in survival, so this one with same ranged def plus more melee def than Nightmarer should be amazing.
  14. This is a pretty brainless TF, entertaining and gives good inf, but not much of a challenge except maybe the last AV where you'll need high dmg and debuffs.
    I'd say you're pretty safe joining or arranging almost any PuG for this. If you are up to it on Saturday or SUnday after 4 pm BST, give me a shout @Nightmarer if you need people for this. Just remember that if in a mixed villain/hero teams, nobody can zone to base. If anyone does, will be autokicked from the TF.-

Well, I have to say the original idea evolved, now I still have my dark/dark defender, a dark/sonic defender and for a corruptor, I drifted to an Ice/Cold one just to try some new sets (btw, I went Ice/cold because of your guide, Chin). I have a bunch of toons now to lvl to the early twenties (where I hope they will be safe from deletion) and on the next batch, definitely a fire/dark will be rolled, together (hopefully) with a bunch of scrappers with new sets. That should be all my slots filled and hoping for more char slots since I am totally against the idea of a second account. I'd rather use that money learning German or French which at the end of the day will be far more helpful also in RL.

  17. It is said that regen is the easiest starter for a 1st scrapper. I personally don't like regens because you have to check too often your health bar to click the heal, I prefer the toggles, click and forget.

    Super Reflexes and Dark Armor have been improved a lot with the IO set bonuses and now SR is not a too gambling set as it was before, but still is to a certain degree, you will be very difficult to hit but when you will get hit, you will take ALL the dmg. Of course, there are ways to ease that, being Medicine Pool the most popular one.-

    If it comes down just to regen or SR, I'd definitely recomend SR because is far more fun toon to play, but I'd also consider Invulnerability, quite easy going set, will breeze you until the 40's when you'll start having trouble with psionic dmg. Good news is that now, with IO set bonuses, it is not difficult to give an Inv scrapper around 20ish% psionic resistance.-
  18. Well, I am not old school at all but I learnt a bit about IO sets lol. Tbh, for a full IO set build, lots of farming and TF's have to be done.

    As per Mid's Hero Designer, neither Karma nor Steadfast KB prot are unique.

  20. As Karsis shouldn't take long ghosted, what about doing Moonfire afterwards? If I recall correctly is lvl 23/28, pretty short TF and will boots us on SIlver Bullet and Slayer badges for Atlas Medallion

    Being the game american, it is the first figure, the second one is a proper billion on mathematic terms which are subjected to the Metric System. If I recall correctly, the first figure was adopted by US and UK in economic terms due to the stength of their currencies.


    Edit: Mmm, now that I think of it, I am not sure if the economics was the reason for the first figure or it is just the Imperial System billion, I'll google it sometime
