Against an AV RttC has a -20% penalty just like DS no? I always found taunt the one thing I can count on.

Is that like Vengeance? Could that not have a duration that people can just wait out? I haven't done any new TF yet.
  3. About the build. I am at work so don't have mids available (it would be a bit embarrassing anyway) I felt that just by guessing from the look of the build that you have 1 unnecessary res slot too many in each passive. They could be used to boost defense in weave or something. You might be keeping the slots for further plans I don't know.
  4. My main characters name is pretty much obvious but I do have some that might get pronounced incorrectly such as Mine, which should be pronounced Mee-nay.

Okay going with that, let's say all the responses had been sweet then maybe he would of been sweet. It's sometimes for some reason (and no I ain't analysed this thread cos I don't do complicated) to apologize for one thing when perhaps someone else has reason to apologize back.

Anyways I know I can be a bit of a bulldog (flatters self cos I been drinking) at times but when more than one person is emphasizing the boil down to point of someone not doing the homework can sometimes come across as collective bullying! Maybe not in this case I dunno!

To not make mistakes is to not be human.

I have no objection to your comment replying to me as it is an opinion.

I have a Phoenix concept tanker. I'll RotP for any mad insane reason I can think off. It doesn't have to effect the tanking duty at all. Now I have other Tankers without a self res and it is a concept choice to have one with one. Being tired of the false belief in immortality (ok phoenix concepts are but you know what I mean) it's nice to have a character without ego that runs in toggles off and resses with a comment like "*sings* Ooops I did it again!".

I've tried being the min/maxxer who knew all the figures and tanks anything. I done that. Passed that phase now and found out that ingame, love and fun is all we need.

If you're all alone on this one then that's a good thing I think. I went and done a Brute of this type but not quite leveled her much if at all but I did the Brute cos of concept. I will tank with that Brute, I just knows it, so with some thinking involved a Tanker should be even better. Boldly go!

He is man enough to walk away from this thread rather than continue in it. I can't be bothered to read the entire thread but it is clear from what I am quoting and have read that one or two people are breaking the EULA.

    I find this post provocative.

Don't do ego on the internet. It just wrong. I give in to it now and then but I know its wrong thats partly why I have my sig.

LOVE THE DOGGY PICS PEOPLE PUT IN! ICED GEMS ALL ROUND!
  9. Tanks were developed and first used in combat by the British during World War 1 as a means to break the deadlock of trench warfare.

Like that the Tanker can also break enemy lines and attract fire giving the other important lot an important advantage. Minimum requirement.

I do have a thing for tanks.

Any person putting themselves in harms way for someone else is willing to make the ultimate sacrifice. So the Tanky AT is the most heroic AT.

    Build Advice

The level of extra defense in overall build terms gets lower for each of those extra slots in combat jump because its base value is low. I basically never second def slot it and consider an end slot there a waste. Haste has slightly higher value than combat jump normally in terms of survivability I find because it can affect both damage sustainability and damage distribution but for you it's pretty much helping to save on rechg slotting of your attacks. Attacks can be important under -rechg circumstances when fighting something you really want to see dead before you pop your clogs. I'd even winters gift combat jump before an extra def slot usually.

    Build Advice

I felt that you have too many unimportant slots in combat jump so whilst I can't see the build I would suggest pulling a slot from there, if you need to pull a slot from somewhere. The importance of perma hasten is what anyway?
  13. I hope the additional awards apply to 6month and 12 month alike cos euro don't get a 12 month option. Also what kind of rewards?
  14. My Cheerleader called Pom Pom is alot of fun to play.
  15. With great power comes great responsibility.

You can be a talented Stormie for example or a wreckless one. I wouldn't be chasing things around the room barely getting an attack out that's for sure. I wouldn't be happy to be constantly compromised by someone making everything inefficient. You'd be going left and I'll be going right if you're hardwork. I'm not anti knockback I just don't have all day.

On his blog it says that he is unemployed. http://www.blogger.com/profile/00229331102011180567 which is very worrying considering the good work he has done and iirc has a baby to bring up.
  18. OMG Babs is gone, the game is coming to an end. 8 out of not many is a huge portion of staff. I feel sad, it was not long ago when Babs had a baby.

My first response to it would be anything but the spiritual and cardiac but I would be different. Do builds with any of the alphas in and work your way back to see what you can achieve because I feel that getting the slots right with the rest of the build is more important than getting the alpha slot right to the build you currently have.
  20. On my tanks I got all the macros to be considerate and tell people of my intentions. I rarely use them. Truth is people could be anticipating any one of my intentions or playing in a way they find fun. If they act in a way thats counterproductive to my intent and crucially compromise themselves then the blame is firmly parked at their own door.

I did do a herd up on -1s and -2 before and prove to a team that they would be quickly dealt with as a result but there are so many variables it's not much to care about. All I can say is some people shoot off and herd before the group the team has fully finished the previous group can increase speed. However sometimes constantly pulling in the direction that the team is going anyway is often complimentary. A constant flow of AoEs maximum numbers can be end economic too.
  21. Tanks can't help but herd. Now someone may have the idea that it is a case of go getting and bringing back but that's not how it is all the time and sure as hell don't have to be like that all the time. I wouldn't consider that efficient in every case.
  22. At the Tankers feet you're potentially just making the team inefficient. I will caltrop at a tankers feet if his HP is suffering. I wouldn't prevent herding by stopping mobs from getting to the Tanker. Mostly the team could be split, some melee, some ranged. You could be in melee being traps but that could leave some lacking of mitigation on anyone ranged so I would chuck them under some blasters or a defenders feet. As a /Devices a ranged defender would have caltrops around them just incase some made it past the first line of defense or something. Mostly anywhere but before or at the feet of a Tanker. Truth is it can cause scatter and minimise a Tankers defense as well as minimise the maximum numbers within peoples aoes.
