Interesting thread.
You also get SO drops from farming, maybe 3-4 per run which comes to about 200,000 inf or so.
Those figures look about right. When I farm on my Plant/Psi Dominator I usually get two to three common recipes, a rare recipe or two and a yellow or two on top of any SOs. I get a purple once every two to three runs, which gets crafted and sold.
I'll lose about 500K-1,000,000 in crafting costs for the recipes (I stock salvage in my base or acquire it with tickets) and get a return of about five to twenty million off the market.
In truth, it's generally more profitable for me to do AE runs, turn the tickets into Pool A or the occasional Pool C and sell those afterwards. Of course, AE not generating purples pushes me to throw a round of farming in there as well... -

Hell, if they beat JD's team, then yeah, we sure as hell won't win.

I will say though, that I hope you have a way to deal with mass damage spam/status effects/-RES or your stay will be a short one. -
Quote:Yep, they were very organized and rapid with their attacks/etc, great teamwork.congrats to @Garent, @John Murdock, and @big mike on their undefeated season. Well deserved. Sickest team i've ever seen.
Quote:Grats on a great season to all who participated. Hopefully they do some restructuring for the next one to get more matches in so it doesn't drag on so long. Jkervo has some plans lined up.
Was fun, thanks everyone for joining.

LOLRPvP wins finals 20-0 in lab map heh. That was ugly, but fun.

Eeeh not really to be honest.
Regen is top of the line for me at the moment, my /SRs are gathering dust (too monotonous) and quite frankly, I'm addicted to 'clicks' on Scrappers. -

Have hero contacts sell all Inspirations after first mission completed.
Review some of the Accolade requirements (10,000,000 damage taken for Born in Battle for example). -
Quote:My Kat/Regen Scrapper, Spirit of Kings Row.Do you have a hero who was motivated to fight because of a personal crisis? How about a villain who fell from grace through a cruel twist of fate? Let me hear your sad stories! If your character's sob story is so sad that you make me cry, you win! What do you win? I don't know...umm...*rummages around in the back* You win a chocolate chip cookie from the Salerno Dining Hall! Let's hear your sad stories!
Grew up in the Gish neighbourhood and a wandering Clockwork Paladin and associated Clockwork rampaged through the neighbourhood, killing her parents. In his dying breath, her father told her that one day, she would feel the pull to be a hero and when that day came, the ornate Katana he had kept from his younger days would be hers.
Since then, she can be seen wandering the streets of Kings Row on Pinnacle server, waylaying Clockwork, Lost, Skulls and Circle of Thorns even though she is a Hero of the City. She also helps out lowbies in the area whenever she can. -
Slotting one of each enhancement possible in a power because I thouht you had to.
Seeing Lusca for the first time, wow.
Getting lost in the sewers...
Thinking Confuse was a terrible power because rewards didn't show up after mobs killed each other. -
My new character on Triumph is called The Casual Gamer, currently a level 8 Warshade.
The bio:
"Ebil marketeers are driving up prices!
"How will the Casual Gamer ever purple out her Warshade?
"Will I have enough influence to survive with these paltry drops?"
Now that I have Nova, I'll be building my cushion in Perez Park.
Not planning on buying and flipping, just selling drops and using my head to make profits. SOs at 22, Basic IOs at 32, sets as they come. -
Generally drop Rad toggles on LR. There's an urban legend that this influences his Bane spawns. Pull LR to the left side, far away from the Red Tower. Have the Emp/whichever keep you buffed at all times while the rest of the group deals with the Towers.
Once the Red and Yellow Towers are down, it helps tremendously. This is still a pretty tough task with a PuG though, so if you can get some experienced help, I'd advise it. -
Farming, to me....running the same maps or missions over and over for Influence, tickets, drops and so on. Whether it's mu untimed Dreck, my Demon farm, my friend's AE farm set for Shield Brutes and 7 others, it's a farm.
Heck, I'm farming away 10,000,000 points of damage on my Rad/Therm Corr because I want to be hit point capped with IOs and Accolades.
The only time farming becomes a problem is with levelling. If you level too quickly the Devs will take notice. I don't think they care much if people have billions of inf, though I do recall Synapse saying, when Merits arrived, that they were unhappy with some prices on the Market.
Basically:
Running around Striga hunting Warwolves = farming.
Resetting Dreck/Demons for drops = farming.
Resetting AE missions for tickets = farming.
Letting a Guide ding you nonstop = farming.
This game is set up for it too, what with the choice to abort missions and then rechoose the first mission, thus redeploying its spawn count.
Nothing wrong with it as long as you don't harass others about it. -

Quote:$9.99How much is a server transfer?

Im looking to transfer to champions, is that server good for leveling a hero?[/quoet]
Champion is a predominantly hero server. /t @Cobalt Azurean or /t @Cutlass for an inviet to the badge and team channel.

I was trying to make a defender, but he is so weak and I cant find a team, how do I level them and do they get more easy and soloable with down the road? -
Probably Defenders or Controllers, think I have a half-dozen of each at least.
My most often played AT would be Corruptors. They can do it all, put out nice damage, debuff, buff, nice power pools...come on Going Rogue so I can send them Blueside and get more loot.
I have a 46 Peacerbringer that I enjoy and a 44 Warshade that I've shelved. I can't really play Kheldians when SoA have just better...stuff.
Edit, numbers:
9 Defenders
6 Corruptors
6 Controllers
5 Scrappers
2 HEAT
3 VEAT -
I usually go into Cascades from Zulu, then take the other portal to Zulu, which puts you in the far part of the zone. Point X-Ray is a hopscotch away from there.

Quote:This. Please /t @Cobalt Azurean, /t @Cutlass or /t @Bronx for an invite to this essential channel if you choose Champion as your home. I can even give you a little push inf-wise.Since I started this game 5 years ago, Champion's been my main server. It has a decent population, and a good friendly community for the most part. If you come to Champion, I recommend joining the global chat channel, BMT of Champion. It's a popular channel dedicated to players looking for (B)adges, (M)onster Hunting, and running (T)ask forces.
Welcome to the game. Hope you stick around awhile.
CHampion is great blueside, redside is quietish. You can form Imperious Task Forces and most things like that fairly easily. Pretty relaxed bunch as well.
Pinnacle is great too, both sides are busy and a fair amount of Task Forces, teaming, even a little PvP every now and then. There are quite a few nice SGs on Pinnacle like Lethal Ladies/Deadly Dudes (@Dakota Sunrise), Adversity/Animosity, Jagged Legion and many others.
Infinity is great red-side. Always brimming with teams though most do AE these days. They also have Rikti raids on some weekdays.
Those are my three main servers right now. Freedom and Virtue have a higher pop but you may lag etc once on there.
Welcome! -
Gonna be fun!
I'll be on my Emp or my Rad/Therm...we'll see!
GL LOLRPvP, I know it's going to be a tough match...no Monkey Cage or Cargo please.
P.S. I got the $50,000,000 Infamy XFunk Fan Club sub and have yet to receive any JPEGs of XFunk owning in RV, please advise!

The rep thing is pretty goofy but it's confirmed certain things.
Those that are "Hahaha look at me and how witty I am! I'm also part of X and Y cliques, would you like my latest soufflé recipe?" are at the top.
UniqueDragon is at the top because s/he owns and is a forum Legend.
Now, PK deserves to be up there as well. IMO he has contributed guides, time, zaniness, some oddball wisdom. Pretty good stuff overall.
It's just...you know, a popularity contest with no visible reward. I'd rather be known ingame for the help I give others than for some rating here. And yes, before you bring up the Rep Padding thread I posted in, that was mostly to just bump as many people up/down as I could in a limited time. Sadly, you can only add/remove rep a limited number of times a day so that's useless.
Anyway PK, you're right again... -
Quote:Same.
I honestly hope GrinningSpade gets to keep his name. To me, having him change his name because it can carry a negative connotation in *some* (not all) areas of the US is just as rediculous as if my friend Fanny were hypothetically told she has to change her name because her name means something else in the EU. We all should just remember that something that a player posts may not necessarily carry the same meaning across the pond and work together to try to understand one another...not divide ourselves by making one culture bend to another culture's standards.
In French-Canadian a "Deux de pique" (a reference to the playing card two of spades) refers to someone that is a bit of an oddball, perhaps not too smart.
As a linguist, I'm aware you need to allow for adaptation, reformulation or even cultural reinvention with various terms. While the boards here are located on American servers, we are all players of this game. We punch out the same mobs, gain the same loot and experience the same triumphs. The ideal is that we learn from each other and appreciate what we can bring to each others' cultures and personas.
Heck, we still have a Governor General here that gives Royal Assent to our laws...and the Queen on our currency, so no badmouthing the UK from over here.
Welcome everyone! -

RAAAAAAAAAAAAGE QUIT!!!
Ahahaha no, not really.
Unfortunate about the editor, I thought the Devs loved us too...guess it was just a fling.
*Looks forlornly at potential gift baskets, including the Back Alley Beerer*

Quote:mac, spill the beans in dUmb global, you know you love us.I'll see if I can log on to test once it's done patching (whee slow internet and laptop hard drives). Might be that the server itself is still down for maintenance like Avatea posted, or it might actually be the start of beta.
EDIT: Login server for test is down so you can't even get on, let alone find out whether this patch is I16 or not.
GL to the testers.
