  1. LOve to have the Epic version of Tonado (you know, the one from the Dom/Stalker etc Whirlwind epic) available under Storm Summoning.

Some ability to suppress visibility of buffs for raids/trials would be great: IE if I can avoid seeing a zillion healing auras going off, that would be awesome.

Fun in PvP is what you make of it. Don't rage too much when you get killed and don't get your head too big when you win and you'll be fine.

Philly, I'm still looking for Citadel whenever you run that.

Had crashes here too. I was with someone on a Trial account and directed them to a larger team afterwards (I was level 11) but the lag was pretty crazy with one hundred heroes plus robots and assorted buffs and pets, was like an old school Hamidon Raid.
  4. There was an invasion on Union about...three hours ago.
I was on the tail end of some teaming in Kings Row with a nice group when the warnings came, an Atlas Park 2 instance was created and we all gathered there. War Walkers, robots and even saw a "Damz" floating around.

There will likely be more of them over the next while.

E-Merits are worth more than their thread breakdown value, because earning them is time-gated. I don't believe it's fair to gauge their value based on the thread cost of high-end components, though. Surely there's a good middle ground between 10% of 600, and 10% of 1300+.

I think your original idea -- charging 10% of the thread cost for sideways conversion of components -- is very a good one for components that people are actually likely to buy with threads. It's just a matter of figuring out what the most appropriate value for high-end components should be, given the most common methods for earning them.
Agreed on the Commons bottleneck. Even before the recent patch, which has made me lucky enough to draw Rares/Very Rares quite often, I'd be getting the Uncommons and occasionally (very, very occasionally) a Common.
Without a way to downgrade my Uncommons, I would be cashing in Astral Merits for Commons and when especially impatient, an Empyrial Merit for a Common (20 Threads).

The system is much better. The "buy-in" for Very Rares (think it's four rares and 400 million) is high enough that I likely won't ever use it, though that Tier 4 Rebirth is looking more tempting by the day.
  7. Created a Mind/Cold (generally does great in all PvE) on Union called Coldly Logical Kara, same as her namesake on Pinnacle...got a sewer team almost instantly and met some great people, lots of dry humour out there.
  8. A group of Canadians/Americans did a pre-emptive visit last night around 9ish Eastern time. We found the server super welcoming and got a nice sewer team which took us to level 8 in the time we spent there.

Looking forward to meeting more people, great server so far!

    Wish List for 21

    More free costumes, LOTS more.
More power proliferation, illusion for Doms and Poison for DEfenders (call it Potions for all I care).
    New mission content-incarnate related.
    New Trials.
  10. At the moment I am stripping down unused PvP toons (lol Ninja/Storm MM) for stuff so should be good on everything but Gaussian's and maybe BOTZ KBs. Good on LOTG 7.5s though always looking for Devastations (especially quad and Acc/Dam).

    Thanks for doing this!
  11. Your base is really, really cool.

I struggle just to keep floors even most times and my RP-based cloning the former Hacienda bar in Manchester is as close I've come to something that looks good.

You, Mr. Hasenpfeffer (sp?) are my new hero.

Or rather, if they did they only got as far as "to increase their range of course, silly." They didn't ask "but did we design the content and the mechanics so that was worth anything?" Because if they did, someone would have said "actually, we can't let the players outrange the critters because that would be cheating, so we're going to make sure slotting for range is always mostly worthless."

Even if my job at the company was just answering the phones, over my dead body would a design team implement an MMO with that degree of stupid.
I don't know if that discussion actually took place, of course, but it's worth noting that Centriole Exposures (which aren't worth "money" ingame) are used widely in PvP where range IS king, with Boost Range used commonly and a few Centrioles in Blaster attacks so they can leverage their damage and range bonuses to better effect. In fact, I think some of the PvP IOs even add range for that reason, though it's beneficial to support and other classes too.

There were a lot of oddball enhancements in the day. I remember there being endurance "add" and "minus" ones, for powers that drained and added to endurance.

Actually, that would bring me to the number one thing I'd change for this game and that's having a mouseover for enhancers that told you what the heck they enhanced. It's easy enough "Red = Damage, Green = healing, Yellow = Accuracy" but when you need to go for a ToHit and it's "Dr. Quantum's Nanooptic Pattern" and I have to click one after the other...it's needlessly obtuse.

I'd also make stuff like Praticed Brawler and so on inherent, because I've seen far too many players skip these because they weren't shields or attacks, to their detriment as they advance in the game.

Would have to think a lot more about other changes but off the top of my head:

    -Universal naming of Single Origins
-Make status protection toggles/clickys for melee auto selections.
-Make epic powers redside available at 41, instead of having to grind through patron arcs. Do the arc for the badge.
-At level 24, have a contact pop-up that leads you to Respecetriel or Jane Hallaway, explaining Respecs. Dump the missions that lead you to PvP zone contacts completely and replace them with this.
-Nuke from orbit any escort mission in Oranbega or any rescue mission with more than three or four hostages. If those are in Oranbega too, flog the mission designer.
-Clean out IOs. We don't REALLY need three different uncommon Immob sets do we? And how about making them by "fives" instead of every level?
-Pop-up for capes and aura missions once you hit the levels.
    -GLobal channels explained ingame.
    -Team finding tools explained ingame.

That's it off the top of my head...

I NEEDED my Superhero fix! I needed this creative outlet!

So what did I miss? Looks like there has been changes to the game, even in the way the game looks! When I logged back in last night, I felt like I forgot how to play!

Anyways, the majority of my SG have not returned, and I'm hoping to see everyone ingame soon! Not sure how long I am staying, but this is still a great game!
Head ye to Ouroboros to unlock your Alpha Slot. If this be done, head ye to Rikti War Zone or Pocket D and joyne a tryale. Much AoE dahmahj, sellf-buff and pett-summonning goodness wyll yoo finde.

  14. This is one of the few Masters I need on my Emp or on my Mind/Bubbles but Saturdays are like impossible. GLHF I know you can ace it, esp. with the crazy new Incarnate boofs.
  15. To OP:

    Huh?

Hundreds of hours? I got Tier 3s on my Scrapper and Mind/Cold in about two weeks, doing the trials 3-4 times a night.
This is absolutely nothing, not even close to raiding in a game like oh, that game with the Orcs, where you not only need to raid but you need RAID GEAR to raid and there are guilds that you need to be in to even get INTO a raid instance.

This is the most casual raid structure ever. Not even close to being a "raiding game".
Oh, and not to put too fine a point on this, but my Mind/Cold is SOd (!) and she gets invited to all the raids and all sorts of TFs.
My SOd Blaster gets on all types of high level teams.

People, you do NOT need a 150% Recharge build, purples out the wahzoo to play the raids or any other part of the content in this game. About the only gates are the ALpha Slot for the TFs, Going Rogue if you want the progression and levels for certain task forces. How many teams are you going to be on where everyone is fully accod and has full set of purples? Most of the time people's power list has nothing but their powers...and they get teams and have fun.
Heck, I was on a Moonfire last night on Victory where everyone had whatever and we just shot stuff.
  16. Llewthor got me, thanks Champion.
  17. Kings Row
    Skyway City
    Steel Canyon
    Brickstown

Need the explores to help complete Invader, would be willing to donate 40,000,000 to the person who gets them, OR a Nucleolus Exposure and 20,000,000 (person's choice).

Reach me here on the forum or ingame @Neuronia or @Neuronium and thanks much for your help.
The payment will come from @Neuronium account, fyi.
  18. Anyone need Citadel still? I can run one before Boot Cap tonight at 7, been trying to get a team through the TF channels but no luck.
  19. Bring 'em on, ain't nuthin' in this game I haven't dropped with my Scrapper. =)

Sonic is pretty good I hear. With the Alpha you can add close to 20% +RES to almost everything. /Traps is really fun but it's probably suited to a "slower" game; fights end so quickly that by the time you set up it's time to move on, sadly.

Of course...Cold Domination is pretty crazy...Sonic/Cold, Dark/Cold, Rad/Cold, just give us another Cold, please!

As for getting those extra levels, LGTF, ITF, LRSF, even older content gets you up there with the new experience rules.
  21. All argumentation aside, I find the Praetoria 1-20 experience a ton of fun.
It has varied storied arcs, a fresh look and it exits you into your preferred zone as well.

I'd logged just now to work on a new lowbie and found myself immersed in "The Protest" event, which got me a nice badge and allowed some nice interaction with the environment as well. Glad to see the lessons learned from GR are being carried into the regular game in the trials.

Now...the Developers having more foresight than we do, are aware that we are reaching INSANE amounts of individual power, correct? I mean...my Scrapper can cap her defenses, launch a huge fire AoE every few minutes and has pets as well...making regular content a bit more of a joke. While I do enjoy the ultimate power, are there any plans on having more trials to test our mettle, maybe even one where we face off against the Big Guy himself, shades of Lord Recluse's Strike Force?

    Thanks Posi.

    P.S. Posi:

Our characters are stupid powerful now. My Kat/Regen is soloing 8 person spawns in ITF and not blinking. When are the next trials coming?

    NEED MOAR POWAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. I am going to be starting a late Citadel run tonight, probablyh around 10:00 - 10:30 Eastern. I'll holler in channel.
  24. Ok I'll bite but I'm not posting a PvE story because heh PvE.

    Global: @Neuronia
Character: Kara Caducaea 50 Emp/Psy Defender

    The locale: Atlas Park
    The teams:

    The Good Guys:

Integrity, featuring yours truly on Emp, Stryker on Emp, El Projinator on Blaster (or was he on Rad?) Syphonics on Sonic, Yosef Vanya on Blaster, Siphonics on Blaster, think we had Psyrene for that match and a Kin. We probably had a fourth Blaster, I think Panthro was still around then but come on that was five years ago, cut me some slack.

    The Bad Guys:

PCJL (Pingu City Justice League) from Champion server.
Iltat, Jester, Jester's Wife and a bunch of other malcontents and ne'er-do-wells. Kat might have been on the team too at that time.

    The Stakes:
If we win we leapfrog PCJL and move into a tie for 5th (or was it fourth) with dUmb...or behind dUmb. Anyway...

We went Jump and they went Storm cos they ALWAYS went Storm. ALWAYS.

(Cutaway to Integrity Vent, it's 9:00 pm Eastern, Sunday.)
(Paraphrasing, it's been five years, srsly)

Proj: "Ok guys, they are going to turtle so so will we."
Yosef: "We can attack them. From where we are on city hall we can hit them with snipes."
Syph: "I'm just gonna sonic nuke them. Kara or Stryker will AB me and I'll phase."
    Proj: "You aren't Nuke-rushing"
    Stryker: "I'm not ABing you."
    Kara: "*crickets*"

So we had a Mexican Standoff...neither team moving. You could cut the tension with a knife. We did a /whoall and everyone from Ajax to RoboBug to Hank to like everyone that was on Test were observing. It was crazy tense. It was even more tense since the Devs hadn't randomly taken down Test for a costume fix patch. Craziness.

So at the 1:45 mark Proj gives the "GO!" and Yosef and Siph attack. They get a kill! Ping gets a kill on us too. Tied 1-1 with 1:30 left. Yosef gets another kill! 2-1 with :40 seconds left! I'm in AP (I'm ALWAYS in AP, and I pop greens anyway cos I'm TERRIBLE. Phase is down! Except at the time I carried like two rows of Oranges too. Guess why?) so I start hightailing it.

    Proj: "KARA! PHASE! OMG! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
Me in team chat: "Phase down!!!"
*POP ORANGE* *POP ORANGE* RUN! RUN! RUN! RUN! RUN!

I make it around the stairs, Blaze hits me, Fire Blast hits me, Will Dom from Jester hits me, health goes down, down, down, AP WEARS OFF! Pop greens, MORE greens, I DIE. Or do I? It's been five years, who the hell knows?

    Timer reads:
    0:00

    WE WIN!

There is an audible sigh of relief on Vent, we all cheer like crazy, Ping is laughing his *** off, we all are.

Syph, of course, was afk to watch Heroes cos he ALWAYS AFKs.
    ALWAYS.
"Hey guys, what did I miss?"

    We just keep laughing.

Most fun I've had in this game, no doubt.
  25. Pay people ingame to help level and acco my toons, then get some IOs.

    The end.
