That or people don't realize how "expensive" conversion is.
Even Jav Volleys aren't cheap anymore. Really is unfortunate for the Nets because they were a nice alternate slotting option when you could not afford purple hold sets...maybe Devs need to lower the cost of PvP IOs or something to increase supply (Merit-wise, of course).

Purples never went anywhere near where i thought they would. In fact the average price of purples i think went up

cause sleep, immob, hold, and confuse went up so much.

And pvp procs the good ones even though they are not off market any longer the price is surprisingly high. in the 400-500 million range.

I was sure they would go to the 80s but clearly i was totally wrong about the market and clearly demand is still huge.

and very rare is well vary rare indeend!
    Hi!

I seek the rare pearl in and out of game. Now, out of game I do NOT have infinity money, far from it. So I have to budget for that rare book I want or whatnot. In game though, I have billions. They were just sitting there. I had an "internal cap" where I said...not spending more than a billion on anything, but I will sell for that much if I get the item.

So before EC (enhancement converters) went live, I used my Emp Merits to sell Glad Armor Procs for 1.5 billion each (about 3 procs worth). When ECs went live, I bought them at 300-400 mil each. So...I had NEVER seen a Glad Armor proc in my tray outside of someone donating it for a PvP toon. Now I have many of them, which is great! It's great for me because every build will have one. It's great for my friend because his builds will have them. It's great for the Market, I suppose, becaue brisk trading might cause an upward spike in prices as people compete for them.

    Win, win, win.
Well, all except those poor Masterminds that aren't paying 50 million for their Soulbound Allegiances anymore.
  5. Neuronia

    Oh, Hey There

The Goat is back, tin cans for all!

The Market has gotten silly with these Enhancement Converter thingys...basically you can switch a crafted IO into another of the same rarity, set or type (all random)...so those Fortunata Hypnosis procs can become Apocs (maybe) or another Fort Hypnosis....it's quite fun!

Welcome back, enjoy what the game can offer you as a Premium Ebil One!

100% global recharge, should be enough to get OSA, EMP and your holds/arrows up fairly quickly, 170% with Hasten.
78% Accuracy bonus for better smashy connecting.
206 extra HP, +200 from accos = around 1412 HP

Intuition Core Paragon, helps your Holds (Ice Controller, check) Defense Debuffs (Trick Arrow, check) and range (Range based toon, check!)

Reactive Interface since -RES is always good.
Speaking of -RES, snuck in a few Achilles Procs in the arrows for a little more oomph.
Ion Judgment since it's stupidly powerful.
Clarion Radial destiny, will help your status protection needs and boosts secondary effects
    Cimeroran pets for damage.

Fire Epic so you can just Fireball your OSA. You can take the Tech (?) origin for the lighter temp too, that helps.

That's about it, nothing fancy...meat and potatoes build for the Arbiter.

Manticore keeps his role, though quieter after his wife's death.
Back Alley Brawler gives out States TF (was fishing for someone).

    Arachnos:

Recluse is really "Might Makes Right", so he'll probably try to venture deeper into Paragon City. Skyway or Steel are next.

    Praetoria:

Duncan has been absorbed by Mot but if Scirocco and Ice Mistral could be saved, maybe she can too.
Diabolique is part of Dark Astoria/Mot now.
Chimera is still plotting, maybe more in a level 30 Praetoria update?
Bobcat is in Studio 55 being a catgirl.
Battle Maiden has been freed by Malta so she can help them with nanite technology.

I have two point five VIP accounts if you include my friend that doesn't play much but stays subbed because I do.

Completely fine with it; I haven't bought every set release (skipping Beast Mastery and skipped Street Justice on one account) and the sets they are putting out are pretty nifty so...

The taunt auras, the ability to pick up taunt, and a taunt with attack effect doesn't do it for Brutes?

The damage issue? Not really an issue, because Tankers are supposed to do less damage, but the sets you mentioned are shared with Brutes. You can do great with them on Tanks, but You can do Better on Brutes.
Sure they can, I've seen many Brutes do this in trials, LRSFs and Master runs...but I wasn't comparing but rather trying to reassure Johnny Butane about his favourite AT. Admittedly, this is probably a lost cause until Tankers launch squadrons of stealth bombers from their fists and can tank trial-level Diabolique at level 10.

And before you answer "Bruising", I've met a disturbingly large number of new or returning players, playing Tankers that don't know and couldn't tell it even exists. If your shtick isn't noticeable enough that people even know it's there, that says something.

But it's unlikely the devs would ever do something so extreme. So we're doomed to argue and keep jockeying the four against each other from now until the time the game ends. Well, jockeying three of them since no one but me really gives a damn about Tankers as long as they make consistent farmers and taunt bots.

    .
    Tankers are fine.
My SOd (with HP Accolades) Willpower/EM Tanker held aggro on Lord Recluse with a bunch of inspirations to allow for Recluses's massive damage.

Tankers hold aggro like no other, they have a mountain of hit points to soak damage from all those foes they've annoyed, every attack they make directs foes to THEM and a good Tanker with Taunt can make his teammates nigh indestructible. That damage issue? You can do great with Super Strength, Fire Melee and if that isn't enough just get the Musculature Alpha to give yourself a nice boost.

    -----

Scrappers are also fine. They are quite survivable, deal an appreciable amount of damage and can crit appreciably doing nothing more than the game's basic functions. IF the Devs look at Scrappers, I wouldn't mind them having an increased chance to critical if surrounded by multiple foes (not a huge increase mind you, just something that would give a boost when pressed) or something along those lines.

An ingame friend and I level mostly Dominators with the odd Brute/Scrapper, so our base bins have a good dozen of each status protection set. What's eluded us for a long time was that +3% IO for some of our builds, but now we have a good dozen of those too, thanks to converters. Can't thank the Devs enough for this.

  23. I'd rather not. This should be part of an issue's QOL improvements and not something we should pay for.
  24. For me it comes down to this:

Levels 1-22 (pre Single Origin): Bosses
Levels 22-35 (reach Tier 9 primary): Bosses and Elite Bosses
Levels 35-50 (Fully slotted): Elite Bosses/Arch-Villans

Task Forces, Trials, group content: Arch-Villains.

We could use less EBs redside, you can't push over a grammy without running into one.

This has been my biggest obstacle to getting friends to join.

City of Heroes is too much of a sandbox. They complain there are too many choices, too many contacts, too many zones...they want a linear contact and level chain...so they go back to what they are trained to do.
