  1. I was more restrictive with that sort of travel back in i4 when debt was more significant. Nowadays I "avoid" as much hiking as possible, and don't think twice about suiciding a lvl 40+ if it can save me a significant amount of time (Independence Port, Nerva and shadow shard, I'm looking at you!). After all, debt means absolutely nothing.
  2. This was an interesting thread... I've actually seen it once before from a different op in the 5yrs I've played, but it ended up in flames that time as well.

I have a few points that I feel the need to bring to the table:

    1. Buffs don't last very long, 30s to a couple of minutes. Is it really that terrible?

    2. So you need to learn how to master your toon? Mastery includes being able to handle supercharged performance as well, and if you somehow manage to get to 50 without learning to play your toon, the problem is with you, not the occasional random street buff.

    3. Yes, market buffing is plain stupid. Sort of like nuke or self destruct just to annoy people.

    4. If I wanted every buffer on the server to buff me every time they see me, I'd start a thread called "Drive-by buffers are idiots and I hate them all!"

    5. Play nice, or Sexy Jay will send you too back into the basement.

    /thread

Write that one off as a phail on my part. I'll try harder and do better next time.
  5. Either way, with 1/1500 or 1/3000 it leaves us with a drop rate way below 0.01%, thus 1/140 should be "unpossible".

However, somewhere around 3500'ish defeats (not yours, critters) is a number I seem to remember as droprate for purples.

Sounds like an over enhanced version of truth there. Either that, or he sent alot of cake to the devs...

Wrong, the point of the game is to rake in money for NCSOFT. That is accomplished by letting us do alot of cool stuff.

  10. Yes, it was a MINUS sign, and sure it was alot of inf to blow on a failed scheme but it really doesn't matter, I'll just earn more inf. There's more than plenty to go around, I just have to figure out how to do it quicker and better.

Oh, and the answer to the "is it that hard to come by inf" thread that I learned lately surely must be: Anyone can make a buck or two on the market, the hard part is to make it quickly.
  11. -1.1B last week. Not counting buying IO's for personal use, but just marketing.

Gambled abit on a big risk market manipulation, that I found myself unable to sustain. Thrilling, fun and interesting, but a very expensive experience.
  12. If I have to find a reason to do it, I'd say it could be for containment, but most probably it's just because alot of ppl don't lrn2ply.
  13. Looks to me like you have 3 " in your bind. I don't have a CoH install available right now to confirm, but I'm suspecting your problem is the quotes.

    Code:

  14. Welcome!

But seriously, you gotta learn to corner pull and stay close for the heals.
  15. If you're a fire/kin built for farming, you'll never use siphon power because you should be able to stay at +dmg cap with fulcrum shift constantly.
  16. Here's build with less purples, 83,5% global recharge, 46% s/l def and a bit different approach.

I'm sorry, wasn't meant to come off as abrasive, but I can see now why it would.

On a fire/kin, I would go for 2, maybe 3 things: recharge, defense and recovery. With more recharge you kill faster and get your buffs to stack more (3x siphon speed should be perma). With the added recovery, you'll be able to compensate some for the insane burn rate of endurance that you get with the increased speed, thus avoiding having to use transference as much to refill your end bar, which lowers your dps.

The reason to why I reacted on the +regen is because I see it alot across the boards, but I really can't see the point of it with the low HP of the controller AT, especially when you can heal from near death to full in 2 applications in less than 4 seconds total. If you're taking enough damage to not survive with your heal, then the regen won't keep you alive either.

So my advice, drop the regen tissue in health and use that slot somewhere else, like as an end redux in hot feet. 5-slot the imps with 4x call to arms and one nucleolus, move around some slots and equip char with basilisk gaze and brawl with 4 kinetic combat.

I'd pick Speed Boost instead of something else, because I like when my imps keep up with me, but that's all personal taste.

  18. Tell me again why going for +regeneration bonus is so awesome on a kin that heals 400+ hp every 2 seconds?
  19. I currently sit on 915m or something like that, and yes I can obviously make inf, but easy? I think the problem with this thread is that the definition of easy is different for everyone. Some consider easy to be 3-4 hours of going through the market spread out over 12 toons, others consider that to be a pain.

And I also seem to have a very negative effect on the market by just showing up btw . I've been watching a crafted numina heal/rech for a couple of days, that consistently sold for 60m. Last night I listed it for 56m, now they sell for 55m, and that happens alot for me. What I'm trying to say with that, is that depending on when you play during the day (I'm on CET so basically most of the server is at work or sleeping when I play), the last 5 sold record shows different facts (on high volume stuff of course), thus I might not have the same grounds for making the decision as a peak hour player.

  23. I say add a 1% possibility to end up in there when trying to enter a mish, and to get out you have to pick a door which leads to a random hellish mish (hospital will set you free ), or if you pick the right one, a chest which rewards you with a random purple and exit to any zone you want.
