Better drops in Neuron-missi?
Mob drops rates are affected by rank (boss/lt/minion) not type (carnie, council, blue clockwork or warrior clan etc)

Aren't purples approximately 0.5% of all recipes? 1 purples every 140 recipes would be pretty lucky, but possible.
He said he got one purple about every 2-3 runs.
So you also think he's either really lucky or it's simple not true...
Ok, and I thought the us players maybe missed the best farm ever ^^
I get a purple about every 3ish runs of Liberate TV, but that is a much, much larger map.

However, somewhere around 3500'ish defeats (not yours, critters) is a number I seem to remember as droprate for purples.

Goodbye and thanks for all the fish.
I've moved on to Diablo 3, TopDoc-1304
Based on my old Drop listing & analysis thread, the purple drop rate is around 1 every 1500 mobs given a normal mix of Minions and Lts.

There seems to be a tremendous gap between your numbers the others. I farm even con for the speed up and the numbers seem to be closer to the 1/3k level. That would be in the ever popular demon/freak/save warrior clan village farms. The wall also seems to give a similar number but I don't have solid data as it is so hard to book it for private use.
Has anyone checked that the drop rate is invariant with level differential ?
Either way, with 1/1500 or 1/3000 it leaves us with a drop rate way below 0.01%, thus 1/140 should be "unpossible".

It never showed up as variant during the validation testing once they had purportedly fixed the drop level check bug post I16. People were doing their testing in all sorts of different configurations, and none seemed especially variant once the fix went in.

You mixing two different things:
1/1500 - 1/3000: kills 1/140: recipe drops |
Write that one off as a phail on my part. I'll try harder and do better next time.

So, a friend farms the Neuron missi form Unai with the 4 glowies.
Indoor, pretty small...

I tried the mission myself and after about 30 runs, I didn't even get one purple, nor a "good" drop (lotg def/end for example)...
In my opinion, the purple drop-rate is based of number of kills you make and is completely independant of the enemy group (not rank).
I'm a fan of the council-empire missi and I had a couple of purples there too. But in the last 2 months maybe 8-10.
So, does anybody of you notice something similar or is it just incredible luck?
