i think it was adding on to what you were talking about, i knew you said it wasnt good for AVs but my wording could have been wierd since i wrote the post at 3 am lol
  2. the only reason i like shards is because they are very deterministic rewards, the thread components are not deterministic at all unless you count the emps converting to rare and very rare

when you run a weekly tf for first time you know that you will definitely get 1 notice of the well, running a trial you could get a common you could get a vr, basically depends on if the rng is playing favorites with you that day

IMO getting a common on a trial is awful and should not happen period, i could live with uncommons at minimum since they can be downgraded to commons as needed, but that is still something i would restrict to maybe the first 4 incarnate trials, the latter ones should definitely not allow anything less than a common (which is why the UGT is actually one of the few trials i like because it guarantees a rare or very rare at the end)
  3. the command your looking for is /insp_combine

an example is /insp_combine "Insight" "Catch a Breath"

the first insp name is the one your using 3 of and the 2nd insp name is what you want to create
  4. i would agree with point cards, it would make sense and make it easier to gift points or be able to get points if you are not the kind of person who likes online transactions

while the vip time cards can get you some pts its only 400 pts for the whole month and we get at least 4 new things per month (not all of them good or wanted by everyone, but you get the idea) the 400 pts doesnt go as far as it sounds

i dont see how weekly strikes would be less wanting to do, notice of the wells from the weekly can be turned into 40 threads

just allow us to save up notice of the wells and trade them for rare/very rare thread based components in the same way we can for emp merits

since we can only get 1 per week on avg the amount needed could be about half of what it is with emp merits, so it would take 4 weeks for a rare and 15 weeks for a very rare, its more solid than the freaking random reward tables of the trials and it would give poeple a reason to run normal content as well
  6. a lot of ranking in this also has to do with personal preference, there are a lot of sets which are single target only, and they function about the same so it comes down more to preference

personally i really like kin melee on stalkers, with the ATO proc in AS and insta rech build up from concentrated strike, you can easily get double build up for AS non hidden hits, the amount of dps can put out is crazy cause almost constantly have build up with high enough rech and insta rech for double build up for the sweet 160% dmg bonus and it has decent aoe and stuff
  7. the -tohit still does diddly to the an AV though, i think it does only like 0.6% debuff to tohit on an AV due to the resistances so it will cap out at little over 2.4ish %

against most mobs (minion, lt, boss) it will be great doing almost -20% extra tohit for things that do survive long enough, heck even 5% tohit debuff is really nice if your just on the edge of the soft cap

overall i would prolly take the -tohit one more if it were paired with a DoT component just because DoTs are better vs hard targets like AVs than the debuffs are
  8. based on discussions in this thread, it appears that tyrant is immune to -regen, the only real way to kill him is sheer dps as well as -resist since his resistances are actually fairly low

i think he only has about 25% resist to everything base and his regen at around 13% is up to about 1024 hp/sec

just throwing this info out there as a note for future runs
  9. as mentioned you could always farm the overseers in the latter ssa arcs

i think SSA1.4 and SSA1.7 have a lot of rularuu redside

running the story arcs is also quite easy too
  10. now that im on the right computer ill post up the build that i currently have on my ill cold

  11. as a note ONLY alpha abilities can be crafted with shards or threads everything else requires threads

i wish they would do away with one or the other since they dont have to worry about poeple stockpiling shards anymore

I believe his Regeneration is effectively impossible to counter, and it really skyrockets as you approach his 10% HP goal (he shrinks at 10%). The only way to take him down is to lay on the DPS.
from what billy mailman posted about his resists, he is effectively immune to -regen anyway so -res and high dps are basically all you got

IMO almost ALL interface debuffs are this way with exceptions being the -res on reactive, -special on gravitic, -maxhp on degenerative, and -dmg on i think paralytic

due to this i pretty much never get an interface that does not have a DoT component
  16. to answer all of your questions

    1. perma PA, my ill cold has perma PA and very minimal smash and lethal def (about 14% due to ice shield from ice mastery), if you have the PA out pretty much all the time you will take very little in terms of aggro

    2. definitely do not skip phantasm, aside from it being a good mule for more rech, it still helps your dmg out and its decoys can cover for you when recasting PA so the baddy aggro does not fall on you

    3. i think the suppressed value is just half of the unsuppressed, i mostly only use that power as an LOTG mule

    4. i have a build, but i cant post it right now because i do not have the build on the computer i am on, but it does indeed have ice and glacial shields because they are also good LOTG mules lol

the build i curently run is at about 218% rech with hasten which is perma PA by approx 1 sec, i keep longbow lore pets on him and he can kill pretty much any GM by himself with exceptions of most flying GMs such as arachnos flier and seed of hamidon, i will post the build tomorrow when i am on the right computer lol
  17. the part of the tree with the double hit is the best

my ill cold uses the partial radial graft to get a little bit of both the +dmg and the double hit

i can confirm that the icons for the +dmg appear on my pets but i believe that this is considered a bug

from what i have read about people using both the core and radial tier 4s, the core tier 4 did very little for dps increase while the radial tier 4 significantly boosted dps
  18. i just got the bundle so i have everything anyway lol

As for his regen it works as follows:
    Base regen is .33%/sec.
He also has an unresistable debuff on himself that scales his starting regen down based on the number of players. (All iTrial AVs scale their base states based on league size, otherwise a 12-man BAF would be stymied by anything that was challenging to a 24-man BAF). I've usually seen this somewhere in the -0.26 to -0.24%/sec range.
So, before the Favor starts in, it's something like .07-.09%/sec.
I don't actually know the amount he gets off the Favor (I think Guy Perfect once mentioned the exact number, but I was signing out at the time), and even if we pin down the exact amount, the actual amount of Hit Points he gains each second is gonna depend on his MaxHP. And MaxHP is the main thing that the iTrial scaling affects.
interesting, he has a LOT less resist than most of the other trial AVs, and that sounds about right for regen, getting almost .1% regen with 126,000 hp is quite a bit of hp

i would have taken a closer look at this stuff before but my VEAT is still pretty low on the incarnate path atm

the point about poison trap is still very valid though, making him vomit and interrupting his flow lightning is VERY funny and actually pretty effective as it saves your league time avoiding the flow lighting
  20. personally i think they need more alignment mishs period, i havent done many tips lately cause im just bored out of my mind of them, there are actually more variety in newspaper mishs than tips

im getting really tired of the 6 same tip mishs for each alignment

Every league that has brought him down by stacking on -regen should have been perfectly capable of it without the -regen, since it was doing NOTHING.

He has similarly past-100% resist to -defense debuffs, -recovery debuffs, and I think maybe -damage? Something like that.
interesting, last i had heard he only had like 90 or 95% resist to -regen

and -dmg is resisted by dmg resistance, so if he has 90% resist to everything like most trial AVs then he also has that much resistance to -resist and -dmg

do you know what tyrants regen is when hes down to about 15% hp?
  22. as a hint, you NEED -regen in tandem with as much dps as possible

/traps and longbow lore pets are VERY helpful to this (traps in some ways more because the vomit on poison trap can sometimes cause tyrants flow lightning to be interrupted)

without -regen though theres almost no way possible to get him past 35-40%

as a note: tyrant doesnt have any more resistance to debuffs than most other AVs, the reason most things are not very effective is because of the purple patch and him being +6 to the league

You kill #1, server echos back #1 is dead
You kill #2, server echos back #1 is dead, #2 is dead

    Forum Cleanup?

i agree that irrelevant/outdated threads should be unstickied

    my suggestions:
the supergroup and villaingroup threads could prolly be merged to save space
pvp threads should be condensed into 1 thread unless the pvp is not active anymore then should just be unstickied

most of the other ones should be ok to be left for now unless they are just too outdated
  25. cobra strike isnt too far off of a generic karate chop
