I just would like to know the overall ranking of powers between single target to aoe.
Level of investment is also important to know. You talking SOs, IOs, or fully maxed out? The answer will vary greatly based on that.

I will take a stab at this. ST DPS, fully IO'd with enough recharge/endurance to run the top attack chains, IMO:

Energy Melee
Claws
Spines
AoE... Tough one, I'm not really sure. Just taking into consideration quantity, type/range, how quickly the AoE attacks can string together and miscellaneous:

Street Justice
Kinetic Melee
Claws
Broad Sword
Dark Melee
Ninja Blade
Martial Arts
Energy Melee
I think Ninja Blade out s-t dps's Staff at the extremes.
A lot depends if you use PPP powers like Waterspout.
I'm surprised Staff's top chain out dps's DM or MA now.

DM and MA are better on SOs/common IOs but toss in purples/Achilles Heel/Decimation proc and the perma 15% damage buff and SF will likely pull ahead. I didn't do any number crunching but at a glance, it'll be close with NB. If the devs standardize AS cast times, NB will pass it for sure.
a lot of ranking in this also has to do with personal preference, there are a lot of sets which are single target only, and they function about the same so it comes down more to preference
personally i really like kin melee on stalkers, with the ATO proc in AS and insta rech build up from concentrated strike, you can easily get double build up for AS non hidden hits, the amount of dps can put out is crazy cause almost constantly have build up with high enough rech and insta rech for double build up for the sweet 160% dmg bonus and it has decent aoe and stuff
