i think this might be of some assistance, theres a video up of a short clip of kinetic melee here
it looks more like knockdown or low mag kb to me -
incarnate system isnt raising the lvl cap, but it does sound like its introducing new powers
-
after actually seeing the kinetic melee in action, it looked pretty cool, animations seemed kind of longish though, but if almost every power does low mag kb i guess it would keep them on the ground while your using next attack.
after seeing it in use, the first thing i thought of was ninja chi type stuff -
the mish computer still has the option "configure raid teleporter for cathedral of pain trial" but if you click on it it will just say its disabled (IMHO they should have just removed the option for now)
i think there is also a "raid" button on the sg window as well when you click on someone it has a "challenge sg to raid" option, although neither of those will work now (again, they should have perma-grayed those out or removed them for now, IMO) -
Quote:from my memory base raids were disabled in i13 cause that is when they also did the base revamp turning off the pathing and stuff, the CoP trial and items of power have been out of the game much longer though (CoP was only around for i think a week), i think i7 was when the CoP was actually active for the 1 week, but im not 100% sureI wouldn't bother thinking about builds for this, if base raids do come back it's not gonna be for a while and they're probably not going to resemble the old style base raids (and even if they did, the game has changed a lot since then). If you really wanted to be prepared for the return of old style base raids, work on a PvP build for your character, since that's what base raids were.
EDIT: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Base_Raid
EDIT x2: My original post is slightly inaccurate, I didn't realize base raids were only turned off with I13, I thought it was much sooner than that. -
the base raids is you pvp'd in sg bases to steal items of power
i never took part because i dislike pvp, and i dont remember why they disabled it, but it was disabled around i13 i think (which was about 1.5 years ago) -

i think all the new stuff sounds awesome
i am very curious as to how kinetic melee and electric control handle
im also curious about the incarnate system -
Quote:if they did that it would sound like a mix of energy melee and kinetics for a primaryI'm curious as to what "Kinetic Melee" would be specifically defined as. I have a disturbing feeling that it is gonna turn into something like a tweaked Dark Melee if they're making it something like a melee attack variant of Kinetics (Soul Drain:Fulcrum Shift; Dark Consumption:Transference; Siphon Life:Transfusion).
i honestly dont know why they chose kinetic melee, since we already have an energy melee -
feedback should still be sent as tells, if you didnt get a tell it wither bugged or they didnt leave feedback, if you want to check if any feedback is on an arc, just go to the AE mish and when you click on it a "comments" button should be listed with feedback (or complaints)
-
the new stuff sounds freaking awesome
it sounds like what everyone has been asking for is being introduced in one way or another -

i agree with all of your list, theres a lot of heroside trial zones which are so underused its not even funny
i think redside is a little better about not having useless zones (unless you count monster island or the abyss, which both are extremely underused unless you like fighting rikti monkeys or DE monsters for fun) -
Quote:i agree that the respec system needs to be revamped, i wouldnt want to have to redo my entire build to just move a few enhance slots aroundIt's not about billions lost on a single set. To recoup the lost performance, entire builds need to be redesigned. This will require multiple repecs or the loss of enhancement you may have put a lot of effort into acquiring.
If this were an isolated case, I for one would not care. But this has happened before and will likely happen again. The disproportionate response to these changes is more about cumbersome respec system in place. If the devs are going to continue to change IOs (which they should), they need to fix the respecifycation system so we don't have to throw away all our efforts. -
this wont affect me at all because ive always been against putting more than 1 slot in a travel power (i rather put slots on attacks or even just give up travel power entirely)
the only IO from this set i use is the -kb IO on my squishies cause kb is very annoying -
im fairly sure the drop rate is 1/100 chance per rep valid kill, and once you get a drop you are ineligible for another drop for 10 min
-
i have a lvl 39 fire/earth dom atm, yes running both hotfeet and mud pots is extremely end heavy (unless you heavily slot on end reductions) and even then you will still blow through blues like candy and need domination like every couple mobs
i think earth assault is a cool set, but with fire control its too end heavy, its good with fire control because you get a lot of stacking mezzes (hold and seismic smash, fissure for stun, and mud pots for immob), so it does have a lot of slotting potential -
it sounds like what you want for this power is a proc-like effect to happen after EVERY attack instead of a chance of happening like normal procs
-
Quote:this, and maybe add in some kind of raid where you actually fight rularuu the ravager, would be like an alternative to hami raid (could prolly be just as difficult depending on design)I'd love to see an Arachnos version of Firebase Zulu, and some villian only content in new Shadow Shard zones. But I'm also for having a co-op zone, with the same amount of action and content you see in the RWZ now.
i think the zone is cool (admittedly a little large), but i would prolly be there more if it actually had more content in it other than the 1 contact that gives you numerous hunt mishs or mishs 2 miles away -
i remember when i had to get the badges in the pvp zones, and im not interested in pvp at all
i knew the risks, therefore most of the time i only went to the zones at odd times when nobody was there
but if there was someone in the zone, if they left me alone, fine with me, if they came over to fight me, i would usually try to defend myself (since i knew it was a pvp zone from entering, although i know none of my toons are built for pvp)
if i didnt feel like trying to fight back, i would usually let the person know i was only there for badges, if they still chose to attack me, i would try to defend myself and i usually just left the zone till later, but i do at least let the poeple in the zone know what im doing if they do try to fight me (i think to myself, hmm, maybe if i show im not interested, they wont have any fun fighting me), if they continue to fight me, i usually just leave zone to work on something else -
i agree they need to add more stuff in the shard, an no it doesnt need any more 4 hour tfs
it does need shorter tfs, and it also needs the tfs to STAY IN THE ZONE -
if its like a one time thing, then i would say let it go, if its been going on for months then i would say give her the boot, i wouldnt put up with that in my group if its been a ongoing thing
-
a lot of my friends are comic book geeks lol, actually a lot of poeple i know are comic book geeks lol
the only reason most of them dont play the game is cause they cant afford to right now (one of my friends would but he doesnt want to pay for it lol)
