  1. pre i19 i never had any issues with the contact images, but after i19 and more singificantly after i19.5, the contact images seem to be broken

    when i open the contact list, talk to contact, or open a characters info window, 1 of 3 things happen:
    • image pops up as normal (rarely happens anymore)
    • image attempts to show but image is shown as a solid black square, this does not cause lag, but is more common than whats supposed to happen
    • and the big doozy of them all whats being the real problem, the image does not appear at all, and is a completely blank square or just has an outline, but in this case, the lag is extreme, FPS drops to about 0.01, netgraph shows the ping goes up to 1200+, and the duplicate packets in increases very rapidly (1 minute with broken images like this and i have about 100 duplicate in from 0)
    when i close the windows with problematic images ping returns to normal, duplicate in stops increasing and FPS returns to normal

    this issue also happens to me on beta and test servers

    i do not know if it is my computer that is blocking something, or if something is unstable in the game that is causing it to just spam me with duplicate packets, this issue only lags the game and does not cause any other lag on my computer, so i do not think it is my computer causing the problem

    is anyone else having this kind of issue or know what might possibly be happening?

    ah, wasnt 100% sure on how it did it, but yeah, if you play the game frequently i wouldnt worry about it much, heck even if you dont play frequently unless you have a really popular arc or a dev choice
  3. i dont think there are a limit on the amount of comments because when a comment is made on the arc it is just stored on your computer in a txt file, so the limit on how many comments is determined by how much space you have on your HD

    well doing that stuff occurs in random zones, and with the vast amount of hero zones the chance of it hitting one which will affect tf team is slim
  5. i think the only havoc that will be caused is if there are a lot of poeple causing zone events to happen during the tfs

    just what the tf needs is to be delayed another 30 min

    both immobs require the target to be grounded, but the aoe one can hit flying baddies if your target baddy is grounded
  7. my 2 cents on this:

    voltaic sentinal - i agree with the stacking of them, but an alt option i would accept is to make it a permanent pet that doesnt have a summon duration and to balance that you could make it targetable by the baddies

    gun drone - the horrid end cost and interruptability have always made this power a real let down everytime i try to play a devices toon, i think it should definitly be made similar to how FFG is, but give it a higher end cost and higher rech time, but it should not be interruptable

    patron pets - definitly need rech reduced, they are in no way that strong and they are extremely easy to kill, so if it or you dies 2 sec after you summon it, then it has to go through that massive recharge essentially being pointless, i think all pets should be at minimum permanent, so 5 min duration, 5-7 min rech (past 5 min it would be perma through 3 rech reduct SOs), just because a pet has a 5 min rech, does not mean it will LIVE for the full 5 min
  8. on ship raids you are guarenteed merits as long as you or your team does some dmg to targets before they are dead
  9. no the holds do not stop the patches, only killing her does

    i actually prefer her being held or immob, the blue patches will spawn in melee then, but if she is not held, she could run into more blue patches essentially never giving you a chance to be in melee

    if she is immob, she wont be able to get out of that patch cycle so when the next set of patches are up you can run in and melee for a bit till more patches spawn under you
  10. if i had toons on champion i would suggest all illusion tin mage tf lol, all those unkillable pets and debuffs would prolly make the midnight dodger badge a cake walk (or at least more feasible than normal)

  12. i honestly hate the popup too, i do like they fixed it so you cant get fortune read when you already have one, but i do hate that popup and love when they removed the popup

    there are several tiers where you get either 2 dmg pets or 1 dmg pet and 1 support pet

    most of the support pets in the tier 4 sets cannot be killed

    the only thing i think is kind of annoying is the fact they have 5 min durations on summoning but 15 min rech (same as patron pets), but cannot be affected by global rech to at least reduce the 10 min downtime

    if you have a spiritual alpha though it might help drop the rech by several minutes

    New Pets for I20

    im thinking of going with seers for debuff and buff

    the seer support toons have powers such as fortitude they will spam on your pets and throw out some extra heals


    i have also considered going warworks or IDF due to the extra dmg and the battle orbs

    the only lore tree i prolly wont go is clockwork unless i want some aoe dmg, which i might go with on some melee toons, but i would rather have seers for the fortitude buff

  16. i think maelstrom has devices type powers so he uses a variation on cloaking device which is pretty much on all the time until you aggro him

    this makes it incredibly difficult to locate him without a lot of +perception since he is usually stealthed a good bit

  18. singluarity and any other pet is not 100% resistant to anything because pet resist cap is only 85%

    singluarity is still really good for taking aggro, as well as the earth control pet
  19. from what i noticed, i do not think they are affected by global bonuses

    my earth dom as about 200% global rech and the frenzy power still takes 6 min to rech
  20. my main toon is a ninja/dark mm, ive never gotten tired of him and hes still my main toon after about 4.75 years and ive logged dang near 5500 hours on him, most of which are badge collecting (hes up to 1191 atm)

    other toons that ive found an interest in are ill/cold troller, dark/stone brute, and earth/fire dom

    i also have another half dozen project toons im working on IOing as well, but as for favs go my main and the other 3 listed are my top 4

  22. im happy to report that support finally got back to me and cleared my security question so i could actually log in to the master account and fix stuff

    2 days was a reasonable amount of time to be handled judging by how much they were being bogged down by all the phone call ins and such

    i dont think this is exactly bad, but it shouldnt have applied immediatly, it should have just let you log in normally after they change it and have a popup saying that the next time you log in you will be asked to verify your location and will need the answers to your security questions, doing such would have made the transition a LOT easier

    well at this point just matter of time to wait, they are prolly bogged down by people calling support (and the horror stories from that have been 45 min on hold on a non-toll free number)

    since i have no immediate need to access my master account atm, ill just wait with emails, i do wish to get this fixed though

    i only got 1 actual email about it though, after that i just updated the support ticket on their website
  25. i have a lvl 50 spine/elec thats working out really nicely atm, i can run 10 toggles and have 0 end problems and it works really good with the spiritual alpha boost due to the +rech and +heal aspects

    i like elec armor not just because of the awesome end management, but because it also doubles as a sapper draining mobs to help with some mitigation
