  1. No. I believe we have seen enough of Longbow....
  2. First, I would like to thank you for rerunning my arc after the XP was fixed. The amount of "work" and details that goes into your reviews is really impressive. You basically reviewed my custom group as well and that is extremely helpful for me.

I am planning a rework of that group once I17/GR hits. I am especially counting on the doubled file-size, as that would remove all the problems of my first arc (that is sitting at 99.99% file size) and help this one since I will be able to add more diversity to my minions. I hope I'll be able to find a way to keep kinetics on the crows as it fits them greatly, at least thematically. But dark powers are a good idea as well, I just need to play around with it!

Anyway, thank you again for the great and extremely helpful review here. I can't believe you're so close to 50...so soon...! I am really going to miss reading your reviews...No plans on leveling up a dual pistols or demon summoning character in AE only?

It will help you with the important powers and give you pointers on when to take them.

Later on you may want to look at my soft cap guide to maximize your tanker's durability and effectiveness. Let me welcome you to tanking and hope you enjoy your stay.
Allow me to quote this as it the best advice so far. These two guides are what made me play a tanker...for more than a couple of levels. They are a must read.

    Thunderous Blast

Purely for damage and recharge. The end drain is already impressive without end mod enhancement.
    I absolutely love this power!
  5. I don't think there's an answer for that. I believe that the Dev team just borrowed ideas from different eras.

One key question is who is Daedalus? Are we talking about THE Daedalus, crafter of the minoan labyrinth or someone who happen to share the same name and skills? If it is indeed THE Daedalus, father of Icarus (which is what I assumed in my AE arcs, the tales of Cimerora), then he is immortal or extremely long-lived. Why so? Because Minos, the King of Crete who ordered the labyrinth from him ruled the island several generations before the Trojan War, which many ancient greek writers date to the 12th century BC. We're talking bronze age here, way way before Romulus Augustus or romans.

What is also written of Daedalus is that he arrived in Sicily after losing his son and built a temple to Apollo (or Phoebus). So Cimerora may or may not be in Sicily...

Tales of Cimerora volume 2 is now fixed! I tested the whole arc and all the customs are now giving xp (They should give around 60 to 70% of the xp official mobs give). Feel free to run it when you have some time!

    Thanks again!
  7. Wow, thank you very much for the review of the tales of Cimerora!

I would like to apologize for the XP issue you ran into. Had I been aware of them, I wouldn't have asked you to review my arcs in a "from 1 to 50" thread.

To be honest with you, I had no idea that removing some of the "required" powers would simply cancel the xp rewards of that particular mob. I thought the amount would just be lowered. I knew the xp for my arc couldn't be great since some ranks were missing from the custom groups (and you're right in saying that this will be fixed with the doubled size coming with GR) but I thought it was still acceptable. And it clearly isn't.

The AE being very slow since I16 didn't really help me since nobody was playing the arcs so I couldn't get any complaints (which would have helped me actually see the issue).

Anyway, thanks again. I will go and fix the arcs.
  8. I surely hope that Pretoria will be treated differently, especially with it having no war walls....
  9. Wouldn't it be easier and faster to do a list of the known authors?
  10. Custom Group : The Satyrs

Arc # 12647: Tales of Cimerora, volume 1 : Of feathers and fur...

As a big fan of mythology and of Cimerora in the game, I saw the AE as a way to enrich the lore and the bestiary of that particular zone. The two arcs I have designed so far are attempts in that direction. (A total of 4 arcs will be devoted to Cimerora. The other two are being worked on).

The first arc contains my interpretation of what Satyrs would be like if they were present in Cimerora. The arc was created in I14's beta and "The satyrs" was my first custom group!

If you want to know more about them and the many others, please feel free to play my arcs!

    Satyr (Minion class)

    Satyr Huntsmaster (LT class)

    Satyr Sorcerer (Boss Class)

    Lurco (Elite Boss)

    The Satyr-Lord (Elite Boss)

  11. I'll submit my tales of Cimerora, volume 1
Name : Of feathers and fur
    Arc # 12647
    Heroic
    lvls 41-50

    Thanks for the present!

At this point, anything is better than 250 Inf. I was thinking that a very small chance of getting one of the special christmas-only recipes would be a great idea...maybe too great, I know but why not...?

To all the people saying "it's a freebie, stop complaining" please think about the time when lvl 50 training enhancements were still droping. Did you complain when the Devs changed the drop tables? Why would you complain now? It's essentially the same thing happening. MMOs are always evolving and I believe it's time those mystery gifts got their own upgrade.

Regarding prestige, I left that aspect out of my post on purpose. I believe 250 prestige is OKish (could always be a little more and it wouldn't break the game).

Its like someone gave you $5 and you are all snobbish because it isnt $100.

    Sheesh.

    I'm a Pharaoh, of course I'm snobbish....
  14. As I was testing the winter event tonight, it occured to me : The so-called Mystery Gifts one can obtain from clicking the presents in the streets are still giving 250 Influence.
First, there is nothing mysterious about them, we all know what we will receive. It's either 250 influence, or a temp power (winter beast I believe) or a piece of costume.
    Second, 250 influence nowadays? Seriously?
Isn't it about time these presents got changed?
I believe anything would be better than the 250 Influence.

How about getting some extra candy canes, some random common salvage, or dare I dream, some random recipe? (Doesn't have to be rare, common or generic would suffice)

    What do you all think?

Edit : corrected the spelling error in the title.

The event is quite fun. We were 1 full team + half a team and we had absolutely no problem defeating the Lord of Winter.
  16. You are now in the perfect level range to try one (or both, up to you) of my arcs!
Both volumes of the Tales of Cimerora are 41 to 50.
Volume 1 is #12647 and volume 2 is #292389. You can play them in any order or play volume 2 without playing volume 1, they are independant.
    I hope you enjoy them!
  17. I am having the exact same problem on my european account. Atlas Park is just unaccessible and so are all the characters logged there.
I am not having any trouble with the other zones, though I didn't try running an AE arc elsewhere either...

He already made us proud with his story arcs, when he was "just" Fearghas. Now I understand why none of his arcs were submitted and nominated for the Hero-con awards...(and why one of them didn't win...when any could have easily won).

Way to go Paragon Studios, this is one the best news of the year!
    (And congrats to Fearghas, obviously..)
  19. I want to play too!
Arc in my sig (number 12647, The Tales of Cimerora, volume 1), please!

    Good luck to all!
  20. The tales of Cimerora continue here! As with the first volume, learn more about Greco-Roman mythology while meeting with its pantheon's most helpful champions...or most dangerous foes!

Important note : Since many people asked me this, please know that my tales of Cimerora are presented in volumes not in "parts". This means that you don't have to play volume 1 to be able to play volume 2 or 4. They are independant.

Arc name: Tales of Cimerora, volume 2 : From Tartarus with love...
    Arc ID: 292389
    Faction: Cimeroran traitors, custom groups
    Creator Global : @Nebulhym
Difficulty Level: Set at lvl 41. If you want to solo it and aren't a melee archetype or completely IOd out, I strongly recommend difficulty lvl1.
    Morality: Heroic
Estimated Time to Play: 5 missions, estimate 60 mins. While the description says "very long", it isn't accurate as mission 4 is pretty short.

Synopsis : Could the resurfacing of an old forgotten love story spell Cimerora's end?

Feedback : right now, I am looking for feedback on the plot (is it clear, simple to understand?) and on the custom mobs difficulty. Any other comments and constructive criticism are obviously welcome!

    Enjoy!

Volume 1 is still available! Discussion thread - MArc #12647
  21. I can't believe we still don't have magnetism...And no, gravity doesn't work, I am talking about controlling iron/metals. Basically like Marvel's Magneto or Polaris. We could even have an assault/debuff set around that idea.
  22. 1. Basic Info: The Children of Astoria, Arc ID 217499 by RedWarlock

    2. Summary: There was once a children's hospital in Astoria. What happened there? A team was sent to recover any potential survivor but never returned. It is up to YOU to investigate.

    3. Why a Neighborhood Chronicle? This mission adds a bit of depth to the lore of the zone. Its fantastic atmosphere, largely due to the excellent work on the custom enemies (very believably set in their environment) and the different objectives that are required for completion, matches perfectly the survival-horror feel of Dark Astoria. I highly recommend it!

    4. Other Random Notes: The plot, albeit very classic and predictable, combined with a very well-balanced difficulty makes the mission extremely fun and therefore quite re-playable.
  23. What a great idea!

I am really glad you started this thread. One of the first things that I thought of when I first heard of the MA was that it's a great way to enrich some of the least used zones in the game. In particular, two jewels: Dark Astoria and Cimerora.
While I am really comfortable with mythology, I didn't dare working on Dark Astoria (yet..). An excellent excuse to play and review the three DA arcs you mentioned...

I really hope people contribute a lot to this thread, it's fun and useful!

Oh and thanks a lot for the very nice review you gave to my arc! I feel honored to start!
  24. For the mutant pack : more animal heads. Hawk, wolf, snake and so on....
