Quote:According to the Paragon Wiki, the bifurcations are HIM teleporting himself into 'multiple places at once'. So when there are 45 bifurcations lounging about, they are each and every one HIM. Simultaneously. They're not really clones, or even echoes or after images - they are HIM. In multiple places. All at the same time. And this somehow increases the regen and damage resistance of the one with the name 'Trapdoor' floating above his head until and unless you defeat all the other bifurcations which are HIM existing simultaneously in a different spot but which for some reason don't gain the same benefits from all the bifurcating as the one with the name 'Trapdoor' floating above his head.

I'm going to go ahead and say that the Entropic Chaos Heal Self is worthless. I tried it on my Ill/Kin in Spectral Wounds and it hardly ever fired. When it did it was a pitiful heal.

Quote:Considering I pull patches at upwards of 600k a second, I don't really feel I need to. But since you're all uppity and seem to want your opinion put in it's place I'll post screenshots tonight.if you feel so confident, uninstall your client and do it today and post a snapshot please of the speed. Put some action to that mouth of yours.
Cheers, and be a little less uptight. -
Quote:That makes very little sense, considering resistance can be put in the negatives. On my Ice/Dark tanker, when I use Shadow Punch before Midnight Grasp, MG always does more damage than if I hadn't used Shadow Punch. I read the formula, but if the target has no resistance to negative energy damage, then they have -20% resistance to negative energy damage, which allows for more damage to be applied.Midnight Grasp (max slotted for damage), for example, will do something in the neighborhood of 243 points of negative energy damage. If the enemy you're fighting doesn't have any resistance to negative energy damage, you're never going to do more than 243 points of damage to that enemy with Midnight Grasp, regardless of how many resistance debuffs are on him.

Quote:Then may I ask why I've never had that issue on my mac, with my client? That's a very asinine response. It's not your ISP, this isn't 2001. The download is long and Paragon is throttling the user downloads. Let your computer run. I did it last week and it says 100 hours till completion. I terminated my account because I can't leave my computer on for that long...but maybe you can :-)
Collabor, have you tried all the troubleshooting in CuppaManga's guides? I find if I do a full sweep and perform ALL of them, something fixes and I'm able to run just fine. -
Quote:The dev/player community is (or was) one of the most attractive things this game has (or had). I don't want that taken away, not after I played WoW and watched Bluename after Bluename spout off things about the game that were absolutely incorrect.Pretty much this. I'd rather the devs WORKING on issue 20, 21, etc than spending time on the forums fluffing our egos.
It's not as if they can really post anything useful until they are near an issue launch. And most certainly we AREN'T anywhere near launching issue 20. At all. -

I'd love to see the source for this knowledge, however likely it sounds.

Merry Christmas, Castle. I really mean it, too. I hope your holiday is wonderful and I hope you and the Paragon Studios devs go out and have a good round of drinks.
I'm deeply sad you're leaving; you've worked on the best game I've ever played and I sincerely hope the game continues to prosper without your knowledge, experience and work. Be well, Castle.
Be very well. -
Quote:Just read that post.David was posting a lot but he's since been very quiet. Castle is one of the last that would post semi-often but he's leaving. It is Christmas week here though so I wouldn't expect too much developer activity.
At this rate, I have less than six months before I stop liking this game.
Screw that noise. Screw it. -
Don't beat your fists against the wall until you bloody yourself; assess the wall and bring a jackhammer.

Whoa. That's cool. I'm gonna have to start hovering around the sonic barriers.

Midnight Grasp. If you have the mitigation, you don't need more.

Remove the absurd Knockback from the Commando, first and foremost.

Again I ask..
Is there any reason so many people call them "tips" missions? I mean, when you find one it says "Tip found!" When you talk to the Alignment contacts, they say "Investigate the tip to find out what you need to do."
Why a plural for a plural (tips missions)? -
If everyone from here to the end of history took that advice, there would be no advances in our technology, our society, or our cultural ways. That's an extremely misguided thing to say. When it comes to a game, there will always be people who will try to work the system. Sometimes what they do will be for the greater good. If it is not, it's on the dev's shoulders to quash the issue before it pisses someone off. Besides, I think the Wedding Pack lingerie is just a little risky. That and the Witch Leather with Skin tops. C'mon.

Quote:To be fair, Kinetic Crash has two Damage enhancement components in it. I actually slotted a set into my 50 SS/Elec's KO Blow; damage comes out close, I get a 7.5% recharge bonus, and when I hit enemies they FLY. Since it's KnockUp it's actually not too bad and WAY more satisfying when I use it....what?
Do you mean you have all 6 pieces of one set of Kinetic Crash (it's NOT a damage set, it's a Knockback set), and you want to know which of those two powers to slot them in?
Uh...neither.
Unless, of course, you're using your SS/SD for farming ONLY; then I guess you could put them in Knockout Blow. But using your heaviest hitting ST attack as a set mule for, what, an extra 7.5% Recharge Time? Okay.
