There's a whole variety of factors which can cause that - the easiest one to test is to make sure your computer has internet access (try to visit and web page with Safari). At the root of the problem is either that or your ISP is somehow not allowing you to connect.
NCSoft support has an ISP connection troubleshooting procedure, so your next step is contacting them at help.ncsoft.com. That way, if there's a widespread issue going on, they'll be able to solve the problem for a lot of people at once.

It's not your ISP, this isn't 2001. The download is long and Paragon is throttling the user downloads. Let your computer run. I did it last week and it says 100 hours till completion. I terminated my account because I can't leave my computer on for that long...but maybe you can :-)

Collabor, have you tried all the troubleshooting in CuppaManga's guides? I find if I do a full sweep and perform ALL of them, something fixes and I'm able to run just fine.

This is a month-old thread - since we didn't hear from the OP since then the connection issues likely worked themselves out.

1. Post the snapshot of the application installed.
2. Post the snapshot of the application uninstalled.
3. Post the 3 snapshots of the downloader. Beginning, anywhere in the middle and the end, ok?

Also, when you say a snapshot of it installed what are you after exactly? Of the folder, or the updater? And if it's uninstalled what am I snapshotting?

Cheers, except can you explain what you want the snap shots off for the first 2 points? My program files folder? Or the updater, which I can't snap shot for the uninstalled obviously.
The snapshots are to keep you honest.
1. application manager with app installed and uninstalled
2. EU downloader beginning w/completion time, anywhere in the middle and the end.

Hi all,
I am brand new to City of Heroes. I downloaded it yesterday onto my mac, but was stuck with the updater trying to connect. I closed it at the 98th attempt. I searched through the forums today for answers. I emptied my cache in safari and typed in the "dscacheutil -flushcache" in terminal. that did not work. i also re-downloaded it all, but that did not work either. any other suggestions?
