  1. I wish a dev would come in here and give us an update on what's going on with the mac client. The last we heard was Zwill telling us "I'll get back to you".

    Which looks about as likely as hell freezing over, unfortunately. Transgaming is thoroughly stuck in the rectum of GameTree (a pretty low-brow company for mac games) as well as companies with a larger foundation, and is devoting most of it's resources to "bigger" companies.

    No I didn't. I said it was inefficient to remain at that level. I said you missed out on too many good powers past level 30, and that's my opinion, not a debate point. I even told you that if that's how you play, more power to you. Now, mind you, that's now telling you how to play.

    Are you farming in the AE? Because you can still get those with tickets. If not, more power to you, but I can't see the point of locking any toon at 25; you'd miss out on too many great utilities above level 30.

    Did I say it wasn't?

    Re-read my post, champ. I repeat: A level 35 IO outperforms a level 50 SO. If you're smart, you'll deck yourself out with IO's at level 35, and never need to update an enhancement again until you decide to slot in sets.

  10. I have a few toons with it, and I will say you absolutely mustn't listen to anyone who says the set is slow. If you're quick-fingered you can attack dead enemies (that is, if you kill an enemy with Smashing Blow and had Body Blow queued, you would attack so fast that Body Blow would hit the dead enemy; try it!).

    I hate to say it, but point-and-click power users aren't going to like this set because it truly takes some fast finger work to get it speedy. I'll post a video of how quick it can be, if you like. (Seriously, ask me to make a video, I love doing it.)

    Long story short, it's a fun, balanced set with nifty animations and pretty outstanding ST damage. Burst is a great form of AoE and mitigation and Focused Burst just looks cool.

    But why would you ever remain locked at 25? This edge case, while proving your point, doesn't really last very long anyway. Besides, level 35 IO's outperform level 50 SO's, effectively negating any need for re-enhancement until 50 if you deck out with them at 32.

    EDIT: And yes, you are right about the +3's being better than IO's. But that doesn't justify saying "use SO's, they're better" when they're numerically inferior in every case but the one you've presented.

  14. I can understand the concerns; my build is level 50 and aimed towards level 50. This guide is the same; Dark/Dark/Soul is definitely a very late bloomer, as your lynchpin power comes at 47.

    You do realize this is the first time this has ever been implemented? I've never seen any other large-scale task in this game boot people for losing team members (remember the Mind dom soloing LRSF?). So yes, the playerbase will want this crap removed because it's not found anywhere else in the game. Quite frankly, it shouldn't be in the game at all!
