The main source of annoyance is because I can't figure out what's causing the problem, and due to the multiple login attempts, by the time I've logged in to respond to a thread, either the thread's moved on, or I've lost all desire to post to it and instead just want to close down the browser in frustration.... -

I have a WP/SS tank, and a mace/shield tank. Recently (during an ITF run), I saw a SS/Invul tank handle... well. I think I counted nine separate EBs whaling away on him. Inspired me to look at my tanks again, and consider getting one up there. Will WP/SS survive as well as a SS/Invul? (the SS/Invul did not have any IOs, fyi).

Heh; I remember when posi took eight hours or so.
However, making an eight man team do it under two hours definitely sounds challenging. I'd think I'd have to do serious research to figure out how to set up a team thusly. -

I set her up so basically everything is dependent on Charisma and Wisdom. She can't /lift/ anything physically, really takes a hit in the hps, etc, but ... you know. Also, our GM thinks that the Jedi Phase powers are bs. FireBug helped me with her initially and then I finally got the swing of thinking in terms of working with my strengths and not sweating the negatives so much. She /can/ frontline fight, she can throw out force threat stuff, and she can heal like nobody's business, so she's really a multitasker. I could have focused more on one aspect, but with a small group, you don't always have that luxury. There /has/ to be someone capable of doing a treat injury or healing, etc. We have a strong frontline fighter and we have a great scoundrel. The thing that always got me was grenades cuz you just couldn't save against them properly until Clone Wars was published, and until Jedi Academy, you always had to have a Use the Force readied to lob grenades back (couldn't just react and you /always/ took damage cuz Jedis don't get evade). That's bs.
I haven't had this experience in the pen and paper arena, and the rules were different where I did have the experience, but I've been a part of a team very much like that.
Short and sweet version: there was a squad of five of us, all knighted out. One was a character that sounds much like yours, I was one of two watchmen type Jedi, a councilor, and a Wookiee madman Jedi with a killer bowcaster.
It is sufficient to say we handled situations far more advanced than any one of use could have, proportionally... and the difference came from our healer and madman Wookiee Force user.

Tried everything Lucky did then I tried calling my ISP. Something fell on the box for my neighborhood yesterday and finally took it out of comission. My phone and internet comes from the same line. After five years I honestly cannot believe it hasn't gotten better. If there's a reason people are going to leave the game this is going to be one. I must have disconnected from the map server quite a few times over this weekend and I really think it shouldn't have happened seeing as this is still an MMO where people play.
However, I'd like to point out, there are more heroes per map now, than then. Back then, we'd hit about forty and a new instance would spawn (or was I the only schmuck hitting the mask counter mob and keeping score?) whereas now that is common and the connection bar is a stable green with no disconnects.
My old hotlinks don't work, but there was a redname who mentioned that the login servers would get a boost during the doubleXP weekend. -

Seriously, aye, no deaths/enhs/something akin to the system from Oro for those badges. A combination of the options for the "Master of" for each signature TF/SF. -

We were just past three hours...
...and only three deaths. All of which landed in the last three missions. We attempted to run through one of the missions when it became apparent that folks were waiting on us for Babbage: two deaths, and a regrouping to plow the road. Last death came at the very, very end... when we had seven princes and their groups thumping on us as we were working to the King. Lag spike, and our healers just barely missed healing one of our two blasters in a crunch bit.
I still want a "Master of" badge for all of these
