I've got a chance for build up in Tactical Training: Leadership. I think the 5% chance triggers every 10 or 20 seconds - I've noticed my Damage Bonus jumping by 80% at random, so it's definitely working with a perma toggle on.

it's your own damn fault for not watching what you do.

Let's see what did we do? Clicked "Confirm Transaction" once (which you can only click once, because it becomes unclickable after that) and then were charged 2 or 3 times instead of once?
In what way can that be classed as the purchaser's fault?
[/ QUOTE ]
And earlier was said people got the 'please try again' and did so, thus getting twice charged?
[/ QUOTE ]
Again, if a financial system tells you to try it again, there's an implicit statement that it hasn't already done it before. -

Yes, perish the thought players should be able to garner time for two day jobs at the same time... ¬_¬
[/ QUOTE ]
Well I must admit it became really difficult to get to the portal what with everyone camping around it, getting two day jobs at the same time
[/ QUOTE ]
Erm, if they were getting Day jobs, then they wouldn't have been visible to you... -

You know why, its the orange jumpsuits
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, the real reason for removing the prisoners is because we got sued.
[/ QUOTE ]
That would be a bit dumb, given that COH's prisoners were around a long time before Portal was.
[/ QUOTE ]
No, I'm joking...

It's hard to tell with your posts sometimes. -

Although if the zone design's such that everyone ignores it and farms freerange mobs so they can leave as quickly as possible, it does suggest something's not right.
[/ QUOTE ]
Without meaning to sound like a cheerleader here, I've never farmed mobs to leave Mercy quickly. I find doing the missions gets me to Port Oakes within an hour or two, depending on characters/team size. -
[ QUOTE ]
So, i don't think it's a bug, perhaps an intentional fix?
[/ QUOTE ]
Missed out of the patch notes....?
Actually, who am I trying to kid. Of course it would have been.
It's still very annoying when you drop to a snail's pace for 10 seconds every time you zone. -
You can be charged with Fraud even if you have no knowledge of the transaction going through. Ignorance of the action isn't actually any defence against it, legally.
I've got to do Fraud training every 3 months as part of my job. It's unfortunate when it's a software glitch, but if you acquire or transact money that isn't yours to transact with, it is fraud.
Edit:
Fraud Definition: [ QUOTE ]
In the broadest sense, a fraud is an intentional deception made for personal gain or to damage another individual
[/ QUOTE ]
Now, providing a payment system which inadvertently takes money without authorisation isn't what most of us (myself included) would class as intentional, but it can be said to damage another individual.
However, legally (and there are court cases going on right now covering this which may end up spewing out reams of legislation which require heavy system changes, thus my interest) it could be said that providing a system which takes money without authorisation is "Intentional" fraud, depending on what sides the courts end up looking at. -
This isn't constant, but I very often can't pick any of my team-mates missions, even if we're both standing in the same zone that the mission is in.
I have to pass the star, have them choose it, then hand it back.
This did not happen prior to Issue 14 (it is a different bug from the old "Cannot select a mission whilst another is in progress" one - I don't even get feedback on my selection, it just stays yellow). -

Any missions I've had recently (2 of them) where I have to prevent a boss from escaping, the Boss is already moving by the time I get to the same floor as them (office map) or when I arrive in the mission (cave map).
I was lucky enough to see the text for the first one, but it was only watching the boss run past me that I was able to fight them to a stop near the exit.
Definitely bugged, even if it did provoke an adrenaline rush that I haven't had in this game for a while. -
[ QUOTE ]
I think it's taken them a while to clear the backlog of refunds because the pack was so popular - they must have had thousands after the store was stormed by booster-hungry mobs
[/ QUOTE ]
That still doesn't stop a post here or a blanket email saying "We're still dealing with it."
Then again, official posts here seem to have tailed off greatly in recent weeks, something that they're going to have to look at.
They weren't perfect, but I felt slightly more informed of things that were going on when B & RJ were still here. -

Looking good, but the bugs look too severe at the moment. I'll wait for those to get fixed.

And everyone else has beaten you to them...
I too, was planning on using Prisoners - I'd love to know the reason why they were removed. I'm guessing exploit again and the scorched earth removal method is easier than actually trying to fix the problem. -
[ QUOTE ]
Yep, getting Mapservers and freezes, and it got nothing to do with my system, internet service provider, or any local factors whatsoever. Nor is it affecting me alone. Similar maps, similar experiences.
It's not anything that is going on at my end, in any shape, form, or manifestation imaginable. No programs added or removed on the computer, or any system upgrades, or tweaking have any impact at all, because the problem is not at my end, or remotely close to my end.
---
[/ QUOTE ]
But I'm not getting any of those problems you've just mentioned, which certainly indicates that the problem isn't at their end - it's either inbetween you and them or it's at your end. -
I think it's because I like the run through Mercy and always have, with its dirty architecture and more detail than the Heroes zones, it just felt more real somehow.
And survival of the fittest. You're given the same instructions that the heroes get. If Mercy frustrates you, then I guess you're not one of Recluse's Destined Ones.
Those frustrated should head to Grandville with Superspeed and no tempt fly powers for an object lesson in frustration
-
Just found them myself - doing the Dead Man's Deck arc too, so it's getting some usage
These are very pretty emotes. I'll always have something to do at the Black Market/Wentworths -
Finally, here's what I just got:
[ QUOTE ]
Dear *****,
We apologise for the inconvenience. We are granting you a refund for order number *******. A £5.99 credit has been applied to your card. This may not appear until your next billing statement.
We have therefore deleted the wrongly purchased Online Code.

NCsoft Customer Support
[/ QUOTE ]
Of course, I could be really picky about the interest that it will cost me, but it's literally 2 or 3 pence.
For those that end up hitting or going over a limit because of NCSoft's mistake, that would be a different matter. (Although I'd be compelled to discuss financial difficulty vs MMO there....) -
[ QUOTE ]
As I said before, technically it is fraud
[/ QUOTE ]
Not technically. It is fraud.
I wonder how they'll cope with this sort of thing in Novemember when the new EU regulations about payment timescales/fraud refunds come into effect? Granted they don't have to make the refund instantly, the bank/card provider does, but then said banks will lean heavily on the companies for their money back.
Mistakes like this will get very expensive for them then.
Sorry, this is my current project in work and these regulations are deliberately very strict, so companies who take card payments will have to be very careful after November. -
After providing the last 4 digits of my card to confirm who I was, I just got a "We are closing this question as it appears to be addressed by another question. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT US AGAIN AS THIS WILL CAUSE DELAYS"
Of course, the reference number they gave me for the new question isn't on my account at all, which basically means my question has been closed, I am being charged interest on my card and NCSoft still aren't doing anything about it.
If they could tell me where to find this elusive question, that would help, but look, I can't even contact them to ask, because that will CAUSE DELAYS (ie. bottom of the question bundle, it's a new question).
Customer support really has taken a knock - no announcements of down time, no Official word on refunds for money that they took without permission.
I think some people call that stealing. -
Agreed - both would be handy.
Even better would be if the QoL stuff got done between issues.
But if Issue 15 is just QoL stuff, then there will be a lot of people seriously considering their subscriptions (My latest one will be up around June and I'm already considering shifting it from 6 monthly to monthly, just in case one of the other MMOs grabs my attention). -
The long runs in Mercy are nothing compared to The Hollows, back in the day.

Or possibly just think that the system does not work. -
Except they're not the real groups, they're holographic representations of them.
So you're not actually defeating Freakshow bosses, you're defeating holograms which look like Freak bosses.
