  1. Are the new alignment faction powers influenced by global +recharge bonuses?

    Thanks.
  2. I'll be there tomorrow night.

Hope to see some of you others there as well
  3. To the OP...

Here is a quick explanation as to why /EM is best for pvp:

    1) Power Thrust will get you plenty of kills by KBing opponents who don't have enough -KB slotted. 6-slot it with Kinetic Crash.

    2) Build Up--greatly enhances self damage and to-hit.

    3) Boost Range is probably the biggest advantage EM has over other secondaries. Adds survivability and allows players to get the drop on others more easily. Also makes snipe powers well worth picking up. If you kite properly, you can hit your opponent at 120 ft+ while they most likely only have a range of 80 ft...I'm sure you can see how this is an advantage

    4) Power Boost has a wide variety of uses. If you take aid-self you suddenly have a major heal with PB. PB + PFF makes it almost impossible to violate. PB also boosts the to-hit bonuses in Aim + BU as well as enhancing holds/stuns, etc...

    5) Total Focus slotted with Procs is a great way to finish an opponent. With Build Up and Aim it can do around 900 damage before resistance is factored in.

    6) Conserve Power helps out tons when fighting "sapping" players or when the blue is about to run out.

The stun can be used but most find it not worthwhile since you have to be so close to utilize it. EP and BS aren't worth taking with DR but are still useful in PvE.

    Hope this helps some.

  5. Mind/Fire or Psi/EM.

Also, WAR sucks--don't believe the hype.

If you're going off the in-game numbers, how do you know that you're not looking at the Bane version of these powers?

I'm not saying you're wrong, I just tend to trust mids more often than not.

And we know the Devs are prone to make patron powers that suck PvE wise awesome in PvP, take Stalker Sharkz for example.

    PvP Invul/SS

If anyone has a pvp build for an Invul/SS, I'd love to see it.

    Thanks.

Mind/Elec/Scorp....Insane Damage, good in both pvp and pve. Check out how much damage the mace blasts in Scorp does with build up.

You're right about the numbers, but I'll take it over nothing. I was forced to play my lol lvl 40 claws stalker for part of the time last night, which I didn't really want to do but I'm willing to if it gets people pvping again.

If you want to start KB up again, I'll do what I can to help out. I would recommend trying to pick a single night each week to get people back in the habit of KBing regularly (other than Saturday or Sunday since that is when we have RV wars and Rikti Raids). Once we get a base of regular KBers--we might be able to get it going every night at a certain time like we had back in i12. Perhaps Thursdays would work.

I know Dreammaster, EW, Lethal, and I would join up. I can probably also get a few more from PUAD to at least try it. Some of those that migrated to Freedom that were in Kill Switch might be willing to come back. If you can get some dUmb members involved, we could probably make Infinity KB work.
  10. All in all, last night's pvp was pretty good. At our height we had around 20 people in RV fighting with a wide variety ranging from some of the old school "hard-core" pvpers to badge-hunters venturing to try something new.

We had team pvp for around 2 hours then things disintegrated into some fiteklubing which lasted over a hour--but that doesn't really bother me. I think I was the last to leave at around 1:30am EST.

I definitely plan to be back there next week for more at 10pm. I'm also going to try and drum up more support this week while in game.

It was good to see some of you dUmbies in there, as well as some of my friends from PUAD and a couple of friends that used to be in Kill Switch with me back in the day (Lethal and EW).
  11. Oh snap it's Yosef!!!

Hey man, long time no see.

PvP was pretty fun last Saturday night. I'll definitely be there this upcoming weekend as well.
  12. I like 2 acc/dmg hamis, 1 dmg/mez hami, unbreakable constraint proc, GW's psi proc, and Glad. net proc. This set up is much cheaper than others I have seen and delivers similar results (assuming you have hasten and enough +recharge elsewhere in the build).

    Fire/Regen Epic

I went with body mastery for FA and LBE on mine so I could get phase. Regens with Phase very rarely die in pvp. Not to mention with enough recharge, you can spam LBE with the achilles proc in it to make your melees hit even harder.
  14. If you got the money for it...I'd recommend Claws/.

Claws is a DPS monster now with procs. Take swipe, strike, followup, and focus--slot 3 procs and 3 acc/dmg hamis in your first two attacks. And then the two purple sets with 1 pvp proc in follow up and focus and you will drop people like a bad habit. It's also a very "active" set--which I tend to enjoy. I've seen IO'd claws/regens destroy hp capped /WP brutes in pvp since so many procs are unresisted in pvp.

On another note, my current project is a lvl 40 Fire/Regen. Which does gratuitous amounts of burst/aoe damage. At first, I didn't like fire at all, but once I hit the 30s and gained enough slots to make it very survivable, the combination has become quite enjoyable.

DM/Regen sounds like a good idea, especially for insane survivability--but you lack that big hitting fun scrapper power.
  15. I've noticed lately that there seem to be more blasters and other ranged squishies utilizing flight/hover over Sj/Acrobatics + a bunch of KB protection IOs. I've considered trying this for a mind/elec I recently rolled for zone play (with SS just in case of -fly). What do you guys think?
  16. Oh I see what you're saying. Thanks for the clarification.

So you're saying in pve, that criticals are resisted now as well?
  18. Is the critical portion of an attack unresisted? What about in pvp?
  19. Murdok

    fire/ or BS/

Oh yeah...and there's redraw with BS/ which after playing a Spines/SR as my main for over a year--does get quite annoying especially if u plan to take LBE or another ranged power from your epic set.
  20. Murdok

    fire/ or BS/

What kind of pvp are you looking to do with this toon?

In my experience, Fire > BS in almost every type of pvp with the exception of lolfiteklub (due to parry). Fire has higher DPS and DPA then BS not to mention the DoT element and lethal damage is more resisted than fire damage.

I suppose a case could be made for the achilles proc if you're teaming with this dude.
Hmmm...UNC fan gives Duke fan advice...could be a trap.
  22. For Laser Beam Eyes, assuming money wasn't an issue, is it better to slot the Achilles -20% Res. proc or the Glad. Javelin Toxic Proc?

This question is for my Fire/Regen scrapper.

I had also planned to six slot this power with 5 pieces of Apoc. including the negative dmg proc in the other 5 slots.
  23. I know that /regen is considered the best pvp secondary across the board for scrappers, but I was wondering what is the best primary for scrappers who do lolfightclub (against mostly other melee based opponents)?

I've typically heard that fire/ is best for burst damage but I've seen some claws/ scrappers do some amazing things with enough influence invested.
