Interested in making another /Regen scrap... But who??

My first 50 scrap was Bs/Regen..
And it was awesome.. the added survivability of parry means that regen really REALLY pulls it's weight in melee combat.

I've thought about Kat/regen.. but it's bascially the same thing..

I've also thought about dark/regen (-tohit = better survivability which means that regen has higher potential). So I'm doing this on a stalker, who also has that great patron pool for Ghost widow.. If I can achieve my build there (and i'm close) I will constantly be able to have up instant healing, MoG, or the ghost widow Mog type power. So the scrapper version doesn't interest me.

I've considered Spines/Regen.. I enjoy spines.. But does it synergize with regen well? The aura at least keeps spines out the whole time and eliminates redraw.

Fire - Eh it's something but doesn't synergize the way i'd like.

electric - i suppose if I went for sapper mentality it allows for extra survivability with regen.. but neither of which really NEED the endurance savings.

Dual blade - I guess some of the effects such as knock down's and such synergize but i've got a WP version of this and can't really get myself to keep playing it past a point.

Ma definitely gets some survivability due to the effects.. It may be a good possibility (mitigate incoming damage with it), but again I've got a wp version of this and haven't enjoyed playing it as much as i'd like..

So I'm looking for you guys for what you think would be a surprisingly fun combo for me to create. I'm willing to give it a shot, even if it's a combo from above that I may not feel may be interesting.. Excite me over a build! i've got the scrapper itch!

I'd go Dark/Regeneration for the reasons you pointed out and Dark benefits from recharge as well as Regneration so in terms of set bonuses that is also a plus not to mention the heal from Siphon Life also helps out tremendously.

Yeah I may end up doing something like that because how well dark synergizes with it.
I REALLY like how it works on the stalker.. So much so that she feels much more scrappy than my other stalkers.

Making a scrapper out of that seems like it may be pure win..
Especially since my stalker is level 39 and hasn't gotten to the perma some kind of timed protection stage yet, and is very VERY good about not being hit (more than regen can heal in a tick at least) or at the very worst that siphon life can't seem to give back.. mostly.

Very rarely do I find her using a click power... This may be my choice for sure!

Both DM/Regen and Spines/Regen work well. The DM being a bit more single target oriented and Spines AoE.

DM
SL in the attack chain helps to nicely supplement your regen rate. I used to skip this power until they tweaked the damage on it several issues ago and now its a staple in the chain. Be careful of Shadow Maul. Great power, but you need to make sure you can live through the animation if you need to click DP or Recon with enough Global rech on your toon you can consider dropping it entirely.

Spines
I tend to play my Spines scrapper like a short range blaster opening with throw spines, moving in for ripper and quills, and then back out again. The slight-slow affect does help to mitigate incoming damage giving you a bit more time to regen and getting clear of the mob to set up a cone gives me time to hit those heals. Also a +rech proc in Ripper helps as well.

Elec
One thing not worthy for an elec/regen build. An AoE KB power = potential slotting for the +rech proc. Although Regen really doesn't benefit from the endurance, it does benefit from more recharge, and that proc might bw worth trying this out for giggles.

...and as an afterthought, MA doesn't do half bad either as most of the MA attacks have some sort of mitigation effect that gives you more time to get to those clickies.

Whatever you decide, have fun

Hrm I never thought of the slows of Spines mitigating but it really does reduce the speed they attack.. So that's a pretty big benefit as well.. and the aura of quills lets you continuously attack while you're playing with the clickies.

The only thing Much like shadow maul is the spine burst also is something easy to die during. My spines/dark learned that quite a few times.

If you got the money for it...I'd recommend Claws/.

Claws is a DPS monster now with procs. Take swipe, strike, followup, and focus--slot 3 procs and 3 acc/dmg hamis in your first two attacks. And then the two purple sets with 1 pvp proc in follow up and focus and you will drop people like a bad habit. It's also a very "active" set--which I tend to enjoy. I've seen IO'd claws/regens destroy hp capped /WP brutes in pvp since so many procs are unresisted in pvp.

On another note, my current project is a lvl 40 Fire/Regen. Which does gratuitous amounts of burst/aoe damage. At first, I didn't like fire at all, but once I hit the 30s and gained enough slots to make it very survivable, the combination has become quite enjoyable.

DM/Regen sounds like a good idea, especially for insane survivability--but you lack that big hitting fun scrapper power.
