Just thought it was interesting, personally.
Ah, I misread your earlier post as saying that the Echo was the same map as the new DA.

The Echo: DA IS the old DA. It is nothing like the current version. It (like the Galaxy City Echo) exists mainly as a source of exploration and history badges, many of which are needed for hero accolades.

    Best

With regards to tanking (for the brute), that just adds another layer. A Stone brute will tank better than most other brutes, but won't be able to compete in damage dealing. A Super Reflexes brute will do great against a single tough opponent since they can avoid most attacks, and have built-in +recharge, but if you put them in a large mob, the 5% chance to get hit combined with tons of attacks will quickly wear them down. p

There's too many variables to say that one particular combo is "always the best."

For brutes, SS paired with Fire, Dark or Elec and a high defense, high recharge build are likely high ranking contenders. /Invuln can be nearly untouchable with a high end build, but it lacks the quick self heal and the damage aura that the others have. Defense-based sets are harder to max out, because it's far easier to add defense to a resistance set than to add resistance to a defense set. Electric, Claws, Street Justice and Titan Weapons are all viable options for primaries, but SS is probably the best in most situations.

For Scrappers, Dark/Shield/(an epic with a fast AoE) is probably my top pick. Strong single target attacks plus the damage buffs from Soul Drain and Against All Odds, Softcapped defense and moderate resists, a heal in the primary, and by walking into the middle of a group and hitting Soul Drain, Shield Charge, Fire Ball, you're likely to wipe out all the minions and most of the Lts, especially with Musculature and Reactive Incarnate powers.
Fire/Shield will do more damage and better AoE, but will need to rely on the Medicine Pool, Inspirations, or Rebirth Destiny for healing when things go downhill.
This. You really have to specify what activities you want to be 'best' at.

    Catalyst

How about instead of having catalysts drop as salvage normally, the game instead treats them as having been 'purchased' from the market and e-mails them to your account as character items. That way they'd be effectively account bound without having to code salvage as being account bound.

Disclaimer: Since I don't know squat about the game's coding I realize that this may be not be feasible.

Making it an April Fool's joke was great. Actually putting it in game, not so much. I'd rather have had the Bee Bark.

With that in mind I'd say reactive is probably your best choice. You don't have to worry about overstacking interface procs when solo. A point I usually consider (if getting one of the damage procs) is to make sure and get one with a damage type that is different from my normal attacks. Since you're using spines the fire damage can come in handy against mobs with high lethal resistance (or toxic resistance on rare occasions.)

I don't think the damage proc interfaces are always the best choice as many do, but if you don't really want any of the specific debuffs then it never hurts to have some extra damage.

You misunderstood human nature. Renaming a thread "Ignore" is like telling someone not to press the big red button.

I used to be a voice actor, but then I took an arrow to the knee.

Some voice over is nice, but EVERYTHING being in voice over is just plain annoying after a while.

  21. I have a feeling that Warburg as a pvp zone won't be altered at all as a result of WWD 7. It would be interesting to see some arcs involving Arachnos and Longbow making serious attempts to secure the area. After all, it was only the threat of it's missiles that allowed the relatively small group of Rogue Arachnos to maintain control. The Council (who controlled the Island before being kicked out by Recluse) and the Malta Group (who stepped in pretty quick after Blitz was captured) could also be big players.
  22. There Is Always One is a something that should be included in the LFG interface period.

And Bee Bark is something I and many others wanted when we first heard of Beast Mastery.
