Why post if you're just going to be a hater.. -
Haha you guys are going to get stuck sitting through a timeshare seminar or some [censored]...

Man this might make people mad. Will make some pools more useful though...hopefully villains get Focused Acc also.

Wow Good Guide and Great update All Star. I just made a Fire/Dark for a weekly SG. He's around level 9 already alof of fun!
Thanks yall -
Good Stuff EG. My BS/Regen is 33 now and Headsplitter rules!
Almost as much fun as my first scrapper. -
Great guide Cinder! A DM/Regen was the first hero I made and consequently my first 50. Had tons of fun with him and still do.

I will never understand why you and people like you want to have a badge for an activity that you either despise or in which you have no interest in participating.

Possibly for the Gladiator associated with it.

So they can farm heal badges with it. -
Definitely a great guide. I have an Ice/Ice Tank at lvl 25 it's fun.

I actually did slot them for Defense Debuff early on but I've found that I soloed far more in the 30s and 40s so the Damage and Endurance along with Recharge got me more mileage out of them. When I used Irridate for team support I had it slotted 1 Accuracy, 2 Endurance and 2 Defense Debuff and it was usually fired off after Aim so I saved a slot on Accuracy.
Slots used for DefDebuff on those two are definitely not wasted though if you want to go for a more team oriented build or if you do an all Defender team.
Mainly just personal preference, that's what makes it so much fun to work on builds here, there are alot of choices you can do and really none of them are bad if they get you the results you want.

Yeah mine was on a rad rad also so I was going for more of a team build. I made me a dark/rad def though got it to lvl 4 already! -
Nice Guide btw has me thinking of trying one out.

Irradiate, ok, where do I start? This is a really nice attack, it does X-Ray Beam damage to all
enemies 20 ft around you but over a little bit of time, it is a fast ticking DoT with 10 tics, so you are
actually getting decent damage although it doesn't look so. One thing though, this guy will get you
aggro, it will be a smack to the face of mobs, calling their attention to you, all for a heavy
endurance cost. So why would you want it? It has an amazing -Def debuff, I think in the range of 30% and it is fast activating, you throw your arms to the side and in one second green radiation
is floating on your enemies. Plus, I use it as a vital part of my AoE attack chain later on.
Recommended Slotting: 1 Accuracy, 1 Endurance Reduction early on, then 3 Damage and a
Recharge, putting the Damage in earlier if you want to do more damage and less support early
on.

One thing with Irradiate and Neutron Bomb, They have long lasting def debuffs as a sec. effect also. I'd recommend slotting these with at least 2 def debuffs in them. Irradiate lasts for 10 secs and Neutron bomb lasts for 15 sec IIRC. You will notice when you put def debuffs in them also. -

Have you written, or thought about writing, a Game Play Guide? If so, now is the time to revisit it and spiff it up! Or, get writing and put your game play wisdom down in black and white!
One of the initiatives the Community Team will be tackling is to update the many guide posts on our forums. These guides are an excellent resource for our community and we want to keep them current and up to date.
So, make it your new year's resolution! Forget the gym and write or update your guide today!
[/ QUOTE ]
Huh?
Let me repeat... Huh?
Who is this "Community Team"? And how is it *you* are going to update *our* guides? Are you going to correct them, change them, update them yourselves?
Or... just hound us to do it?
NCSoft/Cryptic can't even put out a competent game manual. As much as we (mostly I) begged for you to put the text up on the web ahead of time so we can proofread and correct it. You didn't. What comes in the game box is incomplete and often wrong. Your game manuals are a 3 on a scale of 10.
Other information, like how demorecord works, how macros/binds are parsed, the hard numbers of powers... you won't release. At least not at once and comprehensively. We have to hound the devs in PMs for information you should have made available all along. It was the hard work of players who figured most of this out and published it.
Now that Statesman is no longer micromanaging things (and completely reversed his philosophy of keeping us in the dark with the numbers by taking a paycheck to put together Prima's I7 guide), the devs are more forthcoming with real numbers and info... but it's not enough.
Because NCSoft gives us so little resources on their own game websites, it is the players who've put together the best sources of information on the game. I go to vidiotmaps, badge-hound, nofuture, paragonwiki for information on the game. NCSoft's CoH and CoV website is a joke for information. Let's take an example: On the CoH website was an attempt to list all the emotes for us. Compare that to what Mantid did. Mantid gets a 9. NCSoft employee gets a 3.
If you really, really are serious about organizing guides and information, Lighthouse. Then NCSoft needs to have their own version of Paragonwiki that will serve as the online game manual. And you need to get the Cryptic people to look over the info and correct it and fill in the blanks so we know it's the real deal and not a player's best guess.
Otherwise, just organize the Guide to Guides for us and let it go.

Sheesh man..youre gonna get an ulcer... -
I gotta say The Devs did a good job with this pool. I like it alot.
That is all -

THANK YOU SIR!!!
Edit: If it pushes back I8 . . . so be it. Better to do it right then get the AGGRO you all got from people saying "bring out I7 now" and then "how comes I7 has so many bugs and slows down my computer".
Get it right I say. October, November . . . Wings, Trenchcoats, a 5th costume slot, newspaper-type missions for COH, a potentially new COH zone . . . yeah, its worth the wait.

I agree good work Posi! -
1 slotted Health shouldn't be that bad with your heal but I'd probably give that 3 slots also.
-
Guide looks good to me.
I would slot Lingering rad with 2 acc 2 slow and 2 recharge and only put on end red in CJ and acrobatics as they don't have a high end cost.
Enervating field with 3 end red is kinda overkill too maybe 2 tops
Should 6 slot EM Pulse also 2 hol 2 acc 2 recharges.
Thats how I have my rad/rad slotted at least
and
and not an energy aura one, because they suck at drawing aggro, trust me.
I have no problems drawing aggro with my SS/EA brute -
