  1. You were right there was more than 45 minutes some days. I didn't exactly spell it out quite that clearly.

    [ QUOTE ]
I don't think my yields were anywhere near 150 ish million every two days (sometimes every day depending on drops)

    [/ QUOTE ]

I was assuming about 1 drop every two days. But on the weekends I kind of went nuts with free time and farmed my brains out. Some times getting as many as 5 drops over the course of one long play session. I figure at 45 minutes a day 5 days a week you should be able to score as many as 15 or so over the course of a month.

But yeah there was a bit of luck, sometimes it being one every 45 minute run. Other times it'd be one every other day. But most of the time was made up on the weekend where there was much more time invested. Sorry for the misleading statement on my part.

In related news, on lap two of the walls a Hecatomb chance for negative dropped!! Sadly I'm a pack rat and just ended up stashing it in the bin.

    *edit*

If I remember when I started to keep track of how many things I was killing the drop rate was somewhere around 1 in 4100 I think, but taking out bosses might skew that slightly as they were factored in with minions and LT's

I guess I have to farm the hell out my toon then :P

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Wrong answer, wrongboy!

You have to find something where the recipe is 55K or less, the salvage is under 100K, and the crafting cost is 450K, and the crafted item goes for 5 million or more.

That's 4 million profit each. You have close to 20 slots. Throw up ten, get ingredients for ten more, and THEN go farm.

I'm going to give you a number of hints:
    1) There were at least three different recipes like that last night.
    2) They were Level 50.
    3) They were Yellow.
    4) One was ranged, one was melee, and one was a heal.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'd actually say farming is a decent solution here if you are doing it right. The price purples are going for and the ease to have one drop with the right build that moves at the right speed could really make it a decent way to spend a half an hour per day.

Last time I did it over the course of a month shooting for 45 minutes a day 5 days a week. (I was bored) I ended up with I think 33 stashed and 5 used by the time I was done. When I was a bit more active in looking to make money off the market alone I'd spend probably around 30 minutes looking over things, putting out bids, crafting, selling, checking out new niches, etc and I don't think my yields were anywhere near 150 ish million every two days (sometimes every day depending on drops)

Sure farming requires more work, but sweeping the walls or the shadow shard has always been kind of fun to me. And with the pay out on good purple drops? It seems like a decently worthwhile use of time to pull in that kind of influence.

*Note* also, with the chance for pool C drops from bosses there is that added chance for an extra jackpot or high selling item.

(And yes Marketing will always be easier, but a decent farmer may be faster with the current prices)
  3. Bronze all the way here. If a character is 30-49 I'll probably roll in the 15-19 range. Once they hit 50 its usually the a mix of that and then some in the 20-24 25-29 and 30-34 range.

The thing is you go through *a lot* of rolls and you end up deleting *a lot* of junk. You can make more if you craft but sometimes they move slow, the sheer volume usually means I have to sell fast. There are a lot that sell for the 1-10 million range, a handful that sell in the 10-20 million. And the Regenerative Tissue + regen proc that is your occasional jackpot for 40-50 million.
  4. The problem is, as it stands right now its easier to make inf from ticket rolls. 7-8 Minutes for the ticket cap is not unreasonable, 7 Runs should put you at near 10 K tickets. I've found rolling all bronze its not uncommon to hit the 80-100 Million Mark selling stuff off.

Its scary how much you can make so fast, and then you get the occasional big jump in a Regenerative tissue +regen proc for 40-50 million. (Having 3 drop in one day was pretty sweet)

But really, that's where the money is (for me) right now. Purples? If I stick too it, I can probably afford 1 every day or so. Which doesn't seem completely unreasonable given they are supposed to be the rarest of the rarest of the rare.

I think the best thing they could do is maybe introduce them into the reward rolls in the MA. Maybe give them a nice small chance of dropping from silver. (As it stands Bronze is so much better but that might make people think twice)

Level 49 at the moment as the build exists on live - 3 slots in Char.

No purples yet, probably won't purp it either, while its a fun build not quite fun enough to justify 3 or 4 sets of purples going into it at the current prices.
  6. 1.5 Billion on my Fire/Mental to purp/IO him over the course of 1 afternoon. 5 Hecatomb 6 Apoc 6 Armageddon 6 Ragnarok 5 Coercive persuasion. 2 LoTG's, Numina proc, 2 sets of posi blast and 1 set of Obliteration. (Added when the set came out)

I have a feeling if I pulled everything out he'd be worth a bit more than 1.5 now
  7. I'd say /Dev is really only for zones. But webnade + suppression when you hit a target makes for some really easy kills.

Targeting Drone provides a nice constant to hit buff that while isn't huge is small enough that it doesn't get DR'ed too much.

Caltrops - Nice to have, gives you some breathing room from stalker AS and auto crits from hide. Helps with MM's some.

Cloaking device + Stealth IO means you'll get the jump on some builds. A little advantage is still an advantage.

Trip Mines are funny when someone walks over them, most stalkers can't resist a blaster standing still for even a second.

I'd say the perma -jump you can keep on someone with webnade really adds up the potential for kills as well as getting away from someone if need be.

Just an update got the triple, think I might have an offer on the chance for lethal.

    Shield Breaker

Alright so I'm tired of rolling up 3500 k MA tickets in hopes of getting either the Acc/End/Rech or the chance for Lethal, both of which I need.

Anyone have them? Offering 50 Million for the pair crafted or otherwise. Chance for lethal can be any level, the tri I'd rather have 25+

On Infinity server blue side, we can work something out on the markets (as there are 0 of both at the moment) I'll even pay the market fees.

Nice movie ! I'm just curious to know if you're fighting lieutenants or minions there ? It's kinda hard to read it. If those are lieutenants I'm more than impressed with your killing speed !

Yep yep those would be LT's, it does move through them pretty quick. Minions tend to just dissolve between the confuse, freezing rain and creepers.
  12. Sonic/ Psi/

/Em /Dev are probably your better picks as it stands.

  14. With inspirations, in some cases it is. I can't say for certain anymore. WP/EM got through a few with nothing but reds and some nice global recharge.

I'd imagine some /DM tanks could do it now with enough reds and some soul drain fodder.

As for w/o inspirations I think only Shield/DM has done it so far.
  15. MrLiberty

    Rejected!!!

You should have upped your donation by a factor of ten and then see if they stuck to their morals. Every one has their price after all.

Turning down 5 Million is one thing but 50? 100? That will get you near any non purple rare or fund most of a build.
  16. I'd say the four contenders you are looking at are Mind/TA Earth/TA Mind/Rad and Earth/Rad.

Storm does very well in the soft control department. But both TA and Rad mix in hard and soft controls, plus Emp/Emp arrow offer another huge AoE hold that helps you control from spawn to spawn. I'd lean more towards Rad because more +recharge means a more regular use of your long recharge AoE Powers.
  17. MrLiberty

    The Challenge...

My stab at it because I was bored. Ended up 1.2% short on the global recharge. But everything is at the 30% range with the 3% res/Def PvP IO.

Other fun stats include fully slotted Tough/Temp Inv for near 50% resistance to S/L damage. Drain Psyche near fully slotted for regen. And I think about 3 or 4 % Shy of the HP cap when you accolade. Between PFF and FoN you should be covered for any rough spots you run into (needing your regen to catch up or just fighting your way through something tough)

    Are your best bets.

WP with aid self is alright, SR is nice while elude is up by hard to get a high uptime anymore with DR. Dark, Inv, Fire, Shields I've never seen do all that well.

Curse you MrLiberty! Now I want to alt again and make a Plant / Storm / Earth!

    [/ QUOTE ]

I will say he was a blast to level up, I didn't end up solo'ing him much but in large teams it was a pretty awesome ride. My biggest problem was getting enough recovery to actually keep rolling through it all. A numina/Miracle and a bunch of bonuses later he can actually keep moving pretty well. With the near 85% global recharge you need all you can get.

    (I really miss machine gun L-Storm )
  20. I was messing around on my Plant/Storm/Earth so I hit record. Given what people said about the animation I'm sure you can pick it out.

    Shield or SR?

    [ QUOTE ]
I'd probably say for low to middle budget, go with Super Reflexes. It's easier to make awesome. Above that, go with Shield Defense. It's harder, but awesomer.

    [/ QUOTE ]

This for sure. My soft capped Spines/SR feels horribly weak compared to my two other Soft capped/high defense scrappers (DM/SD and Spines/Inv)

I've been playing a DM/SD lately. Fully saturated Soul Drain + Shield Charge is just too awesome.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes that *is* really awesome. You can self cap yourself for damage on shield charge that way. (I am pretty sure its cap is lower) even reach over the cap for it. But have no fear. For the next 27 seconds you still have that massive damage boost to melt bosses with.

My DM/SD has made me less than thrilled about about so many of my other Melee Toons.

The damage on my Elec/EA stalker feels pathetic to anemic even with hide and crits. Survivability isn't even in the same league. The survivability of my soft capped Spines/SR with aid self feels low compared to 2200 HP Shield defense monster with tough and slotted resists in True Grit and Deflection.

Just about the *only* thing the build doesn't have is 10-16 target AoE's outside of shield charge. (which is already pretty wicked) But I plan on making an alt of it into a SD/SS/Pyre to take care of that.

But on the OP's topic. DM is amazing now, even with shadow Maul + shield charge I do "Okay" for AoE damage If I'm solo.
  23. I'd say DM/Shield blows away a stalker. They *might* be able to get through one faster. But the next five? Not happening.
  24. See what happens when I don't make it for the second TF.

    Meow?

One of the original farms using the comm officers had "Meow Meow Meow Meow Meow....." in the description I think. And from there I'm pretty sure people started calling it the "Meow Farm" Just because at the time the way it was set up was unique to many other farms (Before it caught on)
